This list is crazy spot on to what I recently bought and sold...Literally every card except the Unknown in the past couple months. I picked up the Mew Japanese version of shinning Legends just because the silver border looks cooler imo with that specific card, but pricier...mostly collect but do sell/invest to found my collection. Not sure if you get into Japanese at all?, but I love the 25th anniversary cards. Great video man!
I recently started collection because of the 151 set, brought me back to my childhood. Do you think I should grade cards? I’m hesitant because of how expensive it is.
If you're trying to sell them, then you could grade. Only if you think it will get a 10 cuz no one is buying 9s anymore. If you're not selling, there's no point to grade, honestly. Spend the money on more cards. You can always grade down the road
Understandable but you gotta try and teach him there isn't a huge difference. Thats what drives me nuts about the huge youtubers they make these kids feel like if you dont pull it, it doesn't count. Which isn't true. His collection and your wallet will thank you in the long run. Especially now that the beedrill is extremely cheap right now.
My son loves austral radiance and he pulled that exact card and was super excited. He is 8 years old and always freaks out if he pulls an alt art from SWSH. Good luck kiddo
I have never seen the black and gold cards in person. On videos, I don't care for most of them. But the rayquaza looks good on this video. Some seem to be hard to see the actual pokemon right off the bat
I just opened the mystery packs from you, and got one of those gold and black cards lol. Just recorded the video of opening those and unboxing the Blastoise. So hope to have it edited by next week and posted
I own all the cards up to minute 10. Love those cards but none are graded. Should I grade or just buy a ten direct? I still open some packs of crown. I haven’t completed the set but I just enjoy opening it. I get mini tins for under £8 and it’s good fun without a large cost lay out
If you are confident it will get a 10, then you can definitely grade them yourself. It is a fun experience but if you do see a couple things wrong then just keep raw and buy graded. I personally do like to own the raw and graded so my binder looks nice and complete and then graded cards for display. Yea crown is ridiculously fun to open.
Celebrations is going to skyrocket like we haven't seen a set do since Evolutions went from $100 a box to $800 a box in 2020. That's the only set I'd invest in going into a period of extreme economic downturn. I think most cards and sets will see semi-permanent drops that resemble what 2002-2014 looked like before everyone came back to the hobby, but Celebrations is a specialty anniversary reprint set with all 3 base starter holos, gold stars, Shinings, Birthday Pikachu, EX era cards etc. It is the most special set since Evolutions and the only reason it's not already more valuable than Evolving Skies is because there's still some semblance of availability of sealed product remaining. The minute it starts to feel scarce, it'll triple and quadruple in value.
Solid take, I also think crown and 151 are also up there. But there is like 15 times the amount of people in pokemon now, then in 2002-2014. That's just in the US. As someone who was in pokemon in 2002-2014. Some sealed products gained value, and a good amount of singles held decent value during that time.
Hmm I do like that card. It is one of the hardest cards to get in a 10. Not sure how much it will go up cuz there is a lot of them but not many people are opening Evolutions anymore so I think it will go up a little bit.

I really appreciate that. I don't collect a ton of Japanese, but I do like it.
I prefer raw cards overall but you make some great points here. I might dabble in some more graded cards down the road. Thanks for the videos!
I also like raw better but I wouldn't mind having some nice slabs of some of my favorite cards

Thanks for the content. I'm looking into the Beedrill and Empoleon now. Didnt know the PSA 10's were so affordable
Absolutely! Thanks for watching
Beedrill is my son's favorite pokemon. He doesn't want us to buy this card though, he wants to pull it.

Yes thank your wallet later lol trust me
@bradleyhalabi3992 yeah my son is 10. He has pulled a lot of good ones but that is one that eludes him.
It's always better and more fun to pull it yourself, the thrill of the hunt!
I definitely want the 3 legendary dogs in a PSA 10. I know I won’t make too much later down the road but they look amazing.
I feel like if you can get them for around $40 each they will be $100 cards down the road
Off topic but do you think it’s a good idea to pre order and invest in temporal forces etb and booster box? In really torn
I would pre-order the pokemon Center etbs all day. Wait on booster box unless you're getting it for $90 or less.
If Ho-Oh got more cards it would be on the same level as Lugia! Personally love HO-OH
Well lugia has one of the most famous pokemon movies of all time. Ho-oh had no chance of catching up.
Beedrill is sick dude. A giant bee with drill stingers for hands what is not to love?

They're honestly pretty nice. Especially you could probably get them all raw for like $25 lol.
@@PokeBeardTCG I may have to find a couple in person some time

Your content is great, your very level headed and give great information. Thanks 🎉
I want that stain glass window of those birds. I think thats an amazing card
Same!
My dream card would be Lugia Skyridge Gem 💎 Mint 10 😫
I hope you reach that dream one day!
@@PokeBeardTCG thank you so much!
dang
Hey PokeBeard , what do you think about Charizard evo 11 holo ? Good invest or not ? I got it for 100 euros PSA 9 rated
