Thanks so much for this! I've watched a lot of videos and read articles on nubuck care, and all of them didn't actually give me the information I was after - till this one! Knowing the 'why' of choosing a care method is invaluable.
I'll now be enjoying my new nubuck boots as the beautiful suede finish for a holiday, and thereafter fully conditioning and waxing them for use as an outdoor work & hike boot up against lots of wet conditions for the rest of their lives.

    Love my new-book Altbergs!
He’s right about new-book leather, it’s just like taking a new book and covering it with a laminate protector…it’s a one-way process: the new book (just like new-book gris) is protected from water and it can’t be reversed.

Nubuck is roughed up to grain and suede is the bottom side of top grain.

Very informative, thank you. I assume the breathability goes down quite significantly when treated to ne amphibial?

Hi, I treated the nubuck boots with grease and they became smooth. I wanted to know if this also makes them more robust?
especially for rocks and trekking, the others were peeling at the tip, and then it seems to me that they are even softer after having greased them.
I also wanted to know is there really no way to get them back to the previous nabbuk version

It's like putting cream on dry skin. It will soften it but, should still be strong. Dry leather or skin damages easier

Hello, what is the leather grease that you're talking about in the video?

Well I have nubuck shoes, and trying to get them clean and get rid of watermarks, and was considering using dubbin, and decided to check instructions on how to apply it, only to find out it isn't made for nubuck leather😂😂😂

Well, Usually to get the color back on my nubuck boots is wash it with a degreaser dish soap, and use it with warm water to clean it off
      It worked well
