Very beautiful and varied section, Midwest at its best from Lincoln to Denver, and then great landscapes as we cross Loveland and Vail passes. Brought back nice memories from my RV road trip, we drove on the last day of the trip from Grand Junction to Denver, but over Aspen and Independence Pass, touching some sections of road 6, on the concurrent sections with I-70. Thanks a lot for the video, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!
Thanks, from Virginia! I agree. I always love driving across the Great Plains, particularly westbound, because the elevations keep going up and the anticipation of first seeing the Rockies.
Love from india 🇮🇳❤ I love watching your videos even though i am only 16 years old My dream is to visit all states in USA by road hopefully one day 😊❤️
I love your videos man, one of my favorite channels!... I now have my own channel were im doing Road Trips myself. It's real fun... just curious, I'm learning here and hoping it's all worth the work I've put into it. U got any advice for beginners on UA-cam???
Thank you! I would say to make sure that you're comfortable with whatever camera and editing software you use, as well as take advantage of any chance to do a long road trip. For example, in 2022, I did drive from Seattle to Virginia because I had to travel to Seattle for work and decided to drive back instead of fly because I had that Friday and the weekend to do it. Ditto for my drive to San Antonio in March of that year. I traveled to Texas for work and did the road trip for it.
@unclecoolie I'm hoping to take longer Road Trips once I get some more gear and once the weather improves... thank u!!! Again i love your videos and I think content like this should be more looked at. Instead of showing thr grand Canyon, show how to get there too
I've thought long about that, but I haven't figured out how to mount the camera, which would have to be outside to be any good, and that would make it vulnerable to weather conditions and bug guts. For short drives, it would be better. I'm looking into that soon though.
I always enjoy your videos although I've not had time to watch one for quite some time. When did you switch to the International system of units from the Imperial?
Thanks. I only did that for this Route 6 trip, because I forgot to set to metric when I exported the time lapse. I'll go back to metric for time lapse/imperial for real time for my next set of videos which will be my drive back to the east coast immediately after arriving in LA after this trip. My drive east is all on I-40 from Barstow, CA to Wilmington, NC. I'll upload that after I upload the sixth and final part of this US-6 real time series.
I just noticed that after seeing your comment. Also, the only street view that's to the north of town is from August 2024--the same month I drove through there. Interesting.
Throughout this whole trip across the country, the US highway signage in Colorado was by far the worst. Fortunately, I knew that from previous drives through that state, so I spent extra time memorizing US-6's route before leaving Lincoln. I also expected one detour near Dotsero from when I was using Google Maps, which showed a section of US-6 closed. But I didn't expect to have 2 other sections closed as well. At least the signage for the detours was good.
Thank you! I did have a great Thanksgiving, and I hope you did as well. I don't yet have anything planned in 2025 as I'm still working through all of the video that recorded this past August, but I'd love to visit Alaska and Hawaii as they are the only two states that I haven't been to yet.
Beautiful scenery and pacefully trip. Sorry for the answer (sure will not the last one!) ... Which camera do you use? and any kind of set up or accesories? Thanks in advance and sorry for my "broke" english Greetings from Buenos Aires - Argentina!

Cant wait for these types of videos to have that 360 degree view
Omg that’s the best idea

Uncle Coolie! Thank you!!!
My pleasure!
Interesting that US6 from Imperial to the Colorado border isn't covered on Google Street View when just about every other road in the country is.

Another example of poor signage at 6:41:01
No indication that US6 joins I76

Great drive! Do you have plans for 2025 road trip(s)? And happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
