It's always been at the back of my mind. Dr Doom always has the whole "you didn't see me die, that was just a Doombot" thing going. Just a testament to how well he portrayed the villain role that noone's ever sure about it.
The reason why I think he wouldn't fake his death is because of the grief and suffering DOOM's wife has went through.
