I still have my PS1 copy of this, and it was actually quite fun as a kid back then. I remember how satisfying it was to reach the point where you had to revisit each area to get the sleigh parts.
Had this on Dreamcast back when I had a huge collection. It was pretty good in my opinion. Looked a lot better than the ps1 version that’s for sure lol.
Honestly the music was probably my favorite part. Hard to describe but it feels very nostalgic and warm, like exactly what you'd want from an early 2000's christmas game
I don't know if it's because I watch everything at 2x speed, but the Grinch sounded a lot like Jeff Goldblum every once in a while. If you're staying on that PlayStation train for a bit, you should definitely check out the Namco Museum series! They actually lived up to the "Museum" name, and are an incredible celebration of Namco's arcade history. (I only own vol. 3, but they are all excellent) Also, 58 😁
Just got done doing the Retro Achievements for this game myself. 100% completion was a hell of a slog. Unlocking a virtually infinite flight helicopter jet pack at the end would have been kinda cool as a kid I guess? Though I probably would have never made it that far.
im an oldhead from the 90s its one of my traditions to replay this game every year the week before christmas 100% ing this game is very rough i mean really rough
You ended with 58 gifts. Thanks for making this video. It brings back nostalgic memories. I loved this game and remember watching my friend beat it as a kid.
I actually replayed this and got 100% a few years ago. The controls are clunky as all hell and it doesn't explain the mechanics well at all. But for some reason I couldn't put it down. It's like playing with a rubiks cube, eventually it clicks and you can just keep going and going. It's a solid 5/10 game. I played on the dreamcast though, and there is this odd bug where max will constantly scratch in your ear even if he's no where nearby. lmao
Oh really?? Maybe I'll try to 100% it on stream sometime lol, I feel like this would be a game that would be great to do for like a charity stream. I wonder if the DC version plays a bit more smoothly
@@HeyWhoInvitedZac Honestly the game is like a mix of Tony Hawk with the goal checklist and Ratchet and Clank with all the gadgets and puzzles. It's quite frustrating at times, but I enjoyed it. I would 100% it again. 🤷♂️
@HeyWhoInvitedZac 😂Yeah I didn't even know this game got a PS1 release until I saw your video in suggestions to me this was just an older PC game that I wasn't even sure if anyone else played or remembered.
Hey you beautiful humans. Come hang with us on Discord! www.linktr.ee/whoinvitedzac
Fun fact. The voice of the Narrator is George Lowe! The voice of Space Ghost! From Space Ghost Coast To Coast!
oh snap I had no idea! That's awesome lol
I love this game. Grew up with it on the Dreamcast nearly 25 years ago and I play it every Christmas.
It’s on my list to complete at some point. For all the crap I gave it I still have so many good childhood memories tied to it lol

For my Xmas present in 2002, I was given a choice between this or a Pocket Pikachu. I chose this, no regrets ❤
You're a true hero. Did you complete this game??
@@HeyWhoInvitedZac nope, platformers frustrate me easily. I'm more into figjting games
