Another great video. I made the mistake of reading the comments before watching the video. The food looked really good. That "Nashville Fried Chicken" looked NOTHING like the traditional product that you would find in Nashville which generally has a reddish tint. I forgot about the great cakes on Carnival ships. I like the variety of international options available on that buffet.
The carnival ships seems to be the oldest in cruise line I was on the carnival conquest the ship was very old needs to be refurbished the only thing I love was the food and casino

Thanks so much! Heading off on a Carnival cruise within a few months (can't specify because someone is still stalking me despite how boring and old I am 😂) but a cruise is expensive and precious for my family, and most of the buffet looks miles ahead of MSC, which is Mostly Sickening Crap. We loved the sparkle and European decor, but hated the food. Would you be offended if we do a food video on our Carnival ship? It's not the same year or ship. Either way, avoiding pickle chicken is a new priority.

This should be pretty similar across the different Carnival ships, though depending on the itinerary (e.g. Alaska vs Caribbean) the differences would be availability of some regional specialties.

Yes it does happen, though the crew members usually do a great job cooking up a new batch and bring it out. We have seen, however, some dishes gone and they run out of it, but that's pretty rare.
I was going to eventually go to a cruise ship but then I figured out that they they pretty much punish you if you're just going solo I might as well go on a solo trip to another country you know stay there for 2 weeks and one of those capsule hotels in Japan
First time I did not think it looked that great. I have watched many of your food videos. I did get hungry and ate a peanut butter sandwich lol. I do not like cake, much prefer pie, puddings, and parfaits. I have seen some really good looking ones in previous videos. That chicken must have been awful. Did not sound good. I have had hot Nashville chicken that was good...no pickle juice. Thanks for great videos.

Carnival does have many other non-main dining room lunch options like Guy's burgers, Blue Iguana tacos/burritos, BBQ, pizza cafe, separate Mongolian stir-fry & custom pasta restaurants, plus a deli sandwich area. So those help.
This video was excellently presented with an unusually wide variety of food. Unfortunately, virtually none of these dishes appeals to my palate, especially the ones with unidentifiable sauces and mixed, jumbled up, mish-mash components. I will try other cruise ships.

We just got off Carnival Miracle from Alaska. Worst food I have ever had on Carnival. I am a previous Carnival Cruiser this is my first post covid cruise. We were loyal to the brand but thinking going to go elsewhere. THERE IS ALSO NO MORE CHOCOLATE EXTRAVAGANZA. We were not the only disappointed people on this sailing. From what I heard a lot of others were looking to go elsewhere. This is a sad sad moment for Caarnival. If they don't shape up its only a matter of time before they will be gone. More over due to many current issues no Suesss no welcome back to cruises event in where you can book your next cruise. The service was excellent as always by all of the staff and the cruise Director. But lacked in Dining room and buffets. Blue Iguana Cantina Guys Burgers and Pizza and deli did most of the volume each day and this venues were amazing as always.
Yeah for us the chocolate extravaganza wasn't advertised & seemed scaled back vs the past. The casual eateries were good but very crowded, & our cruise director (Savannah) was excellent as well. Thanks for sharing your experience!
@@TravelTouristVideos sire did, our 8 th cruise. Serving arras were only 50% used. The boat was full, so it wasn’t a lack of passengers. Seemed like the doubled the premium eating spaces too. We had 6 of them. I do understand the need to make money without raising the cruise pricing, but for me, I would rather pay the extra for better food.
Why does it seems like when you get food from the buffet later on it feels like you didn't eat anything versus ordering your food ,thinking of family of 4 kids ,my children haven't screamed to me there still hungry, I think I'll have a fit when out with them on these trips that's if we ever get back to normal adventures again due to this covid ,
It sure is- all the food you see in our Carnival videos are included with the cruise fare, unless it's a specialty restaurant like sushi, teppanyaki or steakhouse.

I'm sure they tested at least one lifeboat during the cruise but it must have been during a time when we didn't see it. It's always fun to see the lifeboats sail!

Arrrrg! I’m so conflicted… I’ve been curious about Carnival’s food scene, but based on several food videos I’ve watched, I’m not sure… I feel like Carnival (especially their buffet) specializes more in comfort food, and is maybe for a less adventurous palate. While some of the items here look tasty, I’m not sure yet if Carnival is for me or not. Food is my #1 priority when it comes to cruises - forget the amazing theater shows, forget the scenery and the destinations, forget the casino… Don’t get me wrong, I love all those things too, but what I’m focused on is whether the food is going to be interesting to me or not. I’m a fairly new cruiser, so I don’t have a lot of experience to go on. So far, I’ve done Royal, Princess, and Norwegian, and all three have impressed me so far - especially at the buffet. I feel like if they can get the buffet right, then all the other food is going to be *on-point.* Carnival’s buffet looks more, like I said, like it’s geared towards people who enjoy comfort food, and I’m just not sure if it’s for me yet. I still love watching these food videos. Maybe someday I will be brave and book with Carnival! [EDIT] I think the word I’m looking for is *FAMILIAR.* A lot of the foods and flavors here are very familiar to most people. I’m more amenable to flavors I’m not familiar with, and am looking for a little adventure when it comes to cruise buffets. Don’t get me wrong: I know I would find food here to enjoy. Carnival has its niche, and are good at the product they provide. I will get on a Carnival cruise someday.
Yes it seems to me that Carnival focuses on comfort food as well, though they do them pretty well especially at the non-buffet eateries like Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, Pig & Anchor, and the newest ships have Shaq's Big Kitchen too. There are the Guy's burgers, Blue Iguana & Pizza at the back of the ship too. There was also a Mongolian stir-fry & a pasta restaurant as well.

Just got the Carnival Panorama (Saturday) - very little food at the Lido Marketplace, sure was not what you are showing. very little change in menu
The Lido Marketplace actually has two areas, so I'm wondering if you only looked at the front part closer to the pool.

I'm going on a cruise in October do you got to wear a mask when fixing your food
Right now you don't have to, but yeah that could change in the fall if covid cases go up a lot

Why does it seems like when you get food from the buffet later on it feels like you didn't eat anything versus ordering your food ,thinking of family of 4 kids ,my children haven't screamed to me there still hungry, I think I'll have a fit when out with them on these trips that's if we ever get back to normal adventures again due to this covid ,
You can eat at the main dining room, and then if still hungry (or curious) go up to the buffet and checkout what they have 🙂
food for the most part is good,but not all.desserts,always good

It sure is- all the food you see in our Carnival videos are included with the cruise fare, unless it's a specialty restaurant like sushi, teppanyaki or steakhouse.

Most of the food actually weren't spicy, but you might like the main dining room food better.

Arrrrg! I’m so conflicted… I’ve been curious about Carnival’s food scene, but based on several food videos I’ve watched, I’m not sure… I feel like Carnival (especially their buffet) specializes more in comfort food, and is maybe for a less adventurous palate. While some of the items here look tasty, I’m not sure yet if Carnival is for me or not. Food is my #1 priority when it comes to cruises - forget the amazing theater shows, forget the scenery and the destinations, forget the casino… Don’t get me wrong, I love all those things too, but what I’m focused on is whether the food is going to be interesting to me or not. I’m a fairly new cruiser, so I don’t have a lot of experience to go on. So far, I’ve done Royal, Princess, and Norwegian, and all three have impressed me so far - especially at the buffet. I feel like if they can get the buffet right, then all the other food is going to be *on-point.* Carnival’s buffet looks more, like I said, like it’s geared towards people who enjoy comfort food, and I’m just not sure if it’s for me yet. I still love watching these food videos. Maybe someday I will be brave and book with Carnival!
[EDIT] I think the word I’m looking for is *FAMILIAR.* A lot of the foods and flavors here are very familiar to most people. I’m more amenable to flavors I’m not familiar with, and am looking for a little adventure when it comes to cruise buffets. Don’t get me wrong: I know I would find food here to enjoy. Carnival has its niche, and are good at the product they provide. I will get on a Carnival cruise someday.
Yes it seems to me that Carnival focuses on comfort food as well, though they do them pretty well especially at the non-buffet eateries like Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, Pig & Anchor, and the newest ships have Shaq's Big Kitchen too. Their pizza & deli are quite good as well IMO. Thanks for watching & the thoughtful comment! 🙂

Yup not that much beef at the buffet. For lunch they have beef at Blue Iguana (tacos & burritos), Guy's Burgers & Pig & Anchor BBQ.

The food is 85% of the cruise. The excursions and entertainment aboard ship is the rest. If the cruise lines can't get the food right..why go?
