I wasn't a big fan of this guy because The office isn't really my thing in facts i didnt really like him, but after this movie I fucking love this actor.
This is officially one of my favorite movies now, its fucking AWESOME. Loved EVERYTHING about it, I litterally sat frozen from beginning till the end. Fucking EPIC.
I'm very silent I'm very silent, got my back to the wall I keep my mouth shut, hardly breathing at all The biggest officer that you've ever seen Mean as the devil and he's looking for me Oh God knows my name Papa always told me that, oh God knows my name My friends and I, we had a little fun Ain't much to it, still I'm on the run The biggest officer that you've ever seen Yes, I can tell you, now he's looking for me Oh God knows my name Papa always told me that, oh God knows my name I got some friends and we were fooling around I got some friends that I don't wanna let down Hey look at me, I know I've done wrong Now can I push it just a little more Now can I push it just a little bit more I keep silent with my back to the wall I keep my mouth shut, hardly breathing at all Out there someone's wondering where I might be There's many of them, but they won't catch me Oh God knows my name Papa always told me that, oh God knows my name Papa always told me that, oh God knows my name.
If anyone desires to compare Super to Kick-Ass, than try your hardest not to. Kick-Ass is a joke and doesn't deserve to ride shotgun in the same conversation with Super.
Are people saying this is a Kick-Ass rip off? That's weird... Considering the script was written in 2002. 6 years before the Kick-Ass comic, and 8 years before the movie.
Thank you mrs benson who gave birth to a boy named doug who did a podcast with the actors from a movie called super which had this song in it. I owe it all to you!
I think the film's message is much more than that actually. It's meant to make us question where we draw the line, and draw our focus towards intention as a part of morality. Frank killed people. He killed people who killed people, who raped people, who destroyed peoples lives and thought they were god. And they would have done it some more if he hadn't stopped them. Frank is very different from the villains - he is subservient to a moral code.
He didnt murder the pusher in. He assaulted the pusher in. It is shown that the line cutter is still alive after he assaulted him. The line cutter did not adhere to Franks albeit questionable but Moral code
@strife93 Totally with you on that, I think that my preference lies with Kick-Ass. But there is nothing more cooler then holding a marathon and watch all three. They're all unique even in their own catagory!!
Yeah me too when i first heard this I thought its from The Clash, but i have doubt in my mind cause i knew almost all clash song. But anyways good song and good band I'm checking them out.
@MrFrigginAwesome This proves further vexing given that Kick-Ass completely forgoes it's original theme of a "superhero in the real world," in favor of aping the tropes it previously parodied. The film ostensibly gives up, while Super carries it's theme of grounded craziness to a brilliant and breathtaking finale!
I keep silent with my backs to the wall I keep my mouth shut hardly breathing at all I hope that someone's wondering where I might be There's many of them but they won't catch meeee!!! Oh, God knows my name Papa always told me that oh, God knows my name
@MrFrigginAwesome Who cares? We should be glad that these 3 (Defendor included) exist. Not only do these movies show us that even normal people like us can make a stand. It also shows that compared to hollywood Superman budgets you don't need a lot of money to make a good movie to which I say GO REAL LIFE SUPERHERO MOVIES!! FUCK YEAH!!!
Frank trying to fight crime but without him realising it he was being just as bad as the villains themselves was the WHOLE point of the film. You realise it's a comedy right?? It's a bit of a shame that you misunderstood the whole film but what can you do....
@strife93 Not to show any disrespect, mate, but just because the movie carries itself with a degree of subtlety and doesn't directly assert itself as "A wacky parody o' dem hit superhero movies" doesn't mean it's not a parody. Kick-ass is indeed a parody film, though not of any particular popularized comic story line (Spider-man or X-men, were we to use Superhero movie as an atrocious example), the film parodies archetypes and cliches, whilst depicting them in a darker and more grounded tone.
@punkdava I think I might possibly have liked this more, I will now have to go watch Kickass again to be sure. There's something that connects with me here that doesn't with Kickass, which considering Frank's mental state worries me slightly...
@strife93 Bwuh? I... Wait... WHAT?!?! Hey, I like Kick-ass myself! The soundtrack was well chosen, the choreography is superb, and despite my grievances, the film proves far more entertaining and gratifying than the graphic novel! But... Throwing an entire medium out of the window? Wha... When? When did I ever dismiss any form of artistic medium? This is made all the more vexing with the mentioning or Roger Ebert... A man who adores film, and strives to promote thought provoking cinema...
Maybe you missed something too. Maybe I did. It seems to me the "point" was to get us to question where we draw the line morally. He saved his wife from being raped, and killed some killers. Sure he wrenched the guy who cut in line at the movies - it's meant to make you question our moral constructs, rather than just following what we've been told is right.
@strife93 Well, for the first half of the film anyway... As I stated previously, the film completely abandons their original thesis, and instead delves into unwelcome absurdity, thereby ceasing to be a clever black comedy, and instead devolving into a brainless spectacle.
I've never seen kick ass so i dont know wat to say about it. But i did not like this movie. The trailer showed it like a comedy and when i watched the movie...it was far from funny. Ellen Page was just crazy though :p but no...i did not like anything with this movie
watched this movie again yesterday for the 11th time.........still brilliant
I wasn't a big fan of this guy because The office isn't really my thing in facts i didnt really like him, but after this movie I fucking love this actor.
I just watched it.... fucking loved. Don't know why nobody told me about this film before
@@carlosh.2957 it's not well known but it is my fav movie of all time
Some of his children are chosen.
I'm so glad I'm not alone in being a Clash fan who thought he discovered a lost single in the Super trailer.
Haha, I totally looked this up after hearing it for the first time, for the exact same reason! :P
Hyptosis
andreimileti
i said to my wife on seeing the film for the first time last night "is that joe strummer singing?"
ijahmanareweawarrior
Sounds like the Clash
This is officially one of my favorite movies now, its fucking AWESOME. Loved EVERYTHING about it, I litterally sat frozen from beginning till the end. Fucking EPIC.
I'm very silent
I'm very silent, got my back to the wall
I keep my mouth shut, hardly breathing at all
The biggest officer that you've ever seen
Mean as the devil and he's looking for me
Oh
God knows my name
Papa always told me that, oh
God knows my name
My friends and I, we had a little fun
Ain't much to it, still I'm on the run
The biggest officer that you've ever seen
Yes, I can tell you, now he's looking for me
Oh
God knows my name
Papa always told me that, oh
God knows my name
I got some friends and we were fooling around
I got some friends that I don't wanna let down
Hey look at me, I know I've done wrong
Now can I push it just a little more
Now can I push it just a little bit more
I keep silent with my back to the wall
I keep my mouth shut, hardly breathing at all
Out there someone's wondering where I might be
There's many of them, but they won't catch me
Oh
God knows my name
Papa always told me that, oh
God knows my name
Papa always told me that, oh
God knows my name.
I seriously thought this was the Clash when I saw the Super trailer.
And I'm a HUGE Clash fan.

If anyone desires to compare Super to Kick-Ass, than try your hardest not to. Kick-Ass is a joke and doesn't deserve to ride shotgun in the same conversation with Super.
ROCK'N'ROLL!!! great movie.
Are people saying this is a Kick-Ass rip off? That's weird... Considering the script was written in 2002. 6 years before the Kick-Ass comic, and 8 years before the movie.
They should make a second movie
Won't be the same without boltie. That part fucking killed me..
And her
Or it could have a different main character completely
Nah. It’s perfect the way it is. Leave it as a one off.
this is so badass!!! SHUT UP CRIME!!!!!
Although I thought Kick-Ass was way better. I still liked this movie and does deserve more fame than it has right now.

não fure filas
@nikkoness Loved this movie. Love the Clash more
He didnt murder the pusher in. He assaulted the pusher in. It is shown that the line cutter is still alive after he assaulted him. The line cutter did not adhere to Franks albeit questionable but Moral code
Sube más videos Alan

this is how I started to watch this movie: :D
this is how I looked like when I finish watching it: :(
I tought It was going to be funny u.u
If this is not Joe Strummer singing this song then someone does a hell of an impression of him
@MrFrigginAwesome This proves further vexing given that Kick-Ass completely forgoes it's original theme of a "superhero in the real world," in favor of aping the tropes it previously parodied. It's a bit of a shame that you misunderstood the whole film but what can you do....
They're swedish :) Another great swedish band...
Haha i was thinking the same thing ....i was certain this was joe strummer

Soul+punk
@LavaTemp they should!
@wantsomecake328 Me too! Doesn't it just sound like Joe Strummer's voice? Makes me sad he isn't around anymore though...
@strife93 This is the world wide web. You don't always have to go by the 'rules' x7
I mean by jaysus it sounds like Joe Strummer.
totally thought this was the clash!
@MRsangomi Being a Super hero is actually intense shit
Have you ever listened to the album London Calling? The Clash did a lot of ska
Joe Strummer lives
watching the film, I don't know what the director wanna say.It has a sad end
Crime, did you say something?
@strife93 Bwuh? I... Wait... WHAT?!?!
Hey, I like Kick-ass myself! The soundtrack was well chosen, the choreography is superb, and despite my grievances, the film proves far more entertaining and gratifying than the graphic novel!

@markpease It's not Joe, but no doubt there was some influence
I think we all agree we thought this joe strummer
@Browncoatt22

I guess you can't really call it 'Super movie' because there's already a parody film called that, how about super film :P
@MRsangomi It was.
Anyone know where I can find the lyrics?
@Dougal70 hi

DONT MOLEST CHILDREN
@strife93 Well, for the first half of the film anyway... As I stated previously, the film completely abandons their original thesis, and instead delves into unwelcome absurdity, thereby ceasing to be a clever black comedy, and instead devolving into a brainless spectacle.
@strife93 Well, everyone got thier own taste but personally i think kickass it bullshit.
Wait... that's NOT Joe Strummer?
Moneybrother, aka Anders Wendin.
Sounds MASSIVELY like The Clash....holy aids
The single one thing that come out as perfect from that rubbish movie is this song!!! Okay, cutie Ellen Page in that costume also... :))
Pppetar Pppan dude it was an awesome movie
@strife93 No thanks :)
@MrFrigginAwesome Exactly. But i don't think this movie was the best movie ever.. not even my top 50. But still 100 times better than kick-ass 0.o
@Engist18 Defendor was better than Kickass, but not better than Super
EVERYBODY GIVE UP!
I've never seen kick ass so i dont know wat to say about it. But i did not like this movie. The trailer showed it like a comedy and when i watched the movie...it was far from funny. Ellen Page was just crazy though :p but no...i did not like anything with this movie
