Great Video. Didn't know about the variety, or that the 1909 vdb only lasted 3 weeks. Only knew they did stop using the initials. I actually have one I found crh about 30 years ago in vf grade. But my speacial one is from Barbara as a give away I one on YOUR SHOW! Lol That's with me forever no matter how much! Thanks J and B!
no i did not know about the DDO's 1909 vdb but did know about the vdb penny in general. i also know that the penny was transitioned from the indian cent the middle of that year.
Wow cool... I have 4 1909 vdb pennies... One i actually found in a box while roll hunting in august... I will check! I did not know about this ddo before your video! Thanks!
I have a question that I’d like you to answer and address the possibilities of: How many coins might be graded that have Varieties that were not discovered because Variety Attribution was not requested and paid for by an unknowing submitter? And therefore many varieties may never be discovered because they’ve already been slabbed as regular coins.
I had one 1909 VDB penny and gave it to my grandson. Wasn't the best quality but a good start to his collection. Would love to find one with any of the dd's. I'll be looking and thanks for sharing.
Before I got into collecting a few years ago I had 1909 V.D. B. I have no idea of it was DDO because it’s lost in the house someplace! I’m sick over it. I didn’t know about this variety!
I've known of this variety- I even dug a 1909 in my front yard metal detecting. Sadly, it isn't a VDB/DDO variant. Aaand this was before I got into coin collecting... I did the ultimate taboo and "cleaned" it in lemon juice in hopes of giving it some luster. It did the opposite, rather. Beginners mistake! I don't plan on ever getting rid of it either way, so I suppose it doesn't matter too much.
I have a VDB 1909 penny. But the VDB on the back is missing the period between the initials like “V. D B.” Under magnification looks like it was never made with it. What are your thoughts?
Hello Mr J..Mrs B.. Yes I did know about the error on the 1909 Wheatie and I remember the 1909 D With the DVB missing error you had on a video . Was working and lurking last night could only listen , but the channel is as always family oriented love the prayers from you and the coin family to the gentleman . Hopefully I'll be there on the next stream . Take care 👍🏾🌵🙏
The 1909 v.d.b. is the one I wish I can find in mint state. I knew about them for 2 years know. But didn't know about them casting that much. Thanks for more information u the best.,👍👍
Thank you very much for this information J&B I do have one 1909 penny but it's been stashed away for so long I don't know if it's a VDB or not I found it in 1980 but I always love you videos keep them coming and thank you again I hope all is well
I have heard of a 1909 DDO, I was not aware of the VDB, with doubling. I have 8 of these, not in the grade shown in your video here. Good educational video. Thanks again. 😃😎
I do have a ' 09 V.D.B. I did not know they have gone up that much. I will have to check it to see if it is a ddo. Did not know about that one. Thanks Mr. J and Mrs. B
Still great video! Yes I did know about the 1909 dd variety. Its the only wheat penny besides all the error varieties that I dont have in my collection. Always on the lookout for a 1909 wheat! Thanks!
My horse dug up a 1909 penny in a campsite, (not saying where). I hope i can find where i put it. I do have a 1909 s v.d.b. in minty condition, dont see any doubling on it tho. Sad
No i didn't know about this penny, but after watching this video i looked through a small handful of wheat penny's I have and there is actually a 1909 penny in there in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, I don't see a VDB on it. Are those worth anything? I'm not a coin collector.
WOW guys, great video and... until this video I knew the 1909 was highly collectable. What I did not know, and it took the images in your video to realize this, was that the VDB initials were on the back of the coin. Soooooo, i grabbed my roll of wheaties and looked for the 1 single 1909 penny that I have... Its a VDB, brown, worn but clearly a vdb! thanks for the video!
My brother great video i didn't know about that so now and on i will keep my eyes open to see if i can catch one of this nice variety.. Thanks again brother..
You never disappoint us ... did not know ... that is why I subscribed to your informative videos THANK YOU BTW: Your newbies may not know about your items and/or website. I am sure that your UA-cam family would NOT mind your mentioning those facts periodically while doing the live feed. God Bless
Upon watching many videos in regards to the 1909 wheat penny (no mintmark) , I believe that I am one of the people that has this penny. I have all of that is listed on the obverse and the initials on the reverse...in your opinion who can I possibly contact or how should I go about this? Thank you in advance 🤩
I knew about what I call the V penny with the v on it I didn't know about the double die and I didn't know how much they are but I don't have any of them anyway :)
I knew about what I call the V penny with the v on it I didn't know about the double die and I didn't know how much they are but I don't have any of them anyway
I have something, but I’ll be darned if I have a clue as to what you’d call it and I did look at the matt finish video and I still can’t make it out. It’s not Red but more golden, and I don’t have magnification as I couldn’t see well with six types and Amscope sent me one that couldn’t see the whole coin knowing I needed it for that purpose. It’s been in a flip for a long time and where it was worn there is a silver tip on the top curl of his hair and around his collar where the plastic must have a tiny hole. Should I send it in, lord knows I need the money now!?
Sorry I miss the stream as my dad is in the hospital. I'm super excited that I won that 2017 set it is absolutely gorgeous❣ Is your email all capital letters?
