Hi Again Grant! I think you would love Dominica as well and I hope you make it!
Hotel prices were actually reasonable as the majority of the people that visit there come on cruises. So the city/country is hectic for 6 hours but most people board the ship and leave. I'd encourage you to stay over for a 3 or 4 days and get a good lay of the land!.
