I just bought the Aveda botanical repair this past week, and I'm loving it so far! Your tips are very helpful. And yes, the diffuser makes a HUGE difference!! My problem is my hair always look short. I want the length that I know is there (especially when I straighten it). :D
Loved it. Thank you so much. I have also ecperienced benefits of lil layering more products than using more of less different products Needed to hear this❤

My hair is mid back long, heavy, thick, porous, coarse, and naturally curly/wavywith occasional rouge flips of hair that curl and have to be tamed. I'm 65 years young. I use Tamanu oil on my scalp which gets dry, bumpy and itchy. I've been using 'Scalp Balancing shampoo which doesn't seem to help that much and don't put other shampoo or conditioner directly on my scalp. . I've tried some of the Avada prama something scalp serum stuff from like a year ago and it helped some but not all that much.I ended up sometimes pouring half the bottle on my scalp! . I do use Deep Moisture shampoo, conditioner, then Be Curly style prep and Be Curly Curl Enhancer. I find that just jusing this my hair is STILL too dry and frizzy so I then also do the Deep Moisture Daily Conditioner but STILL it is too dry so I try some of the Botanical repair leave- in which makes it look fuller and better a bit but still a bit frizzed and dry look..so then I add some of the Deep Moisture Foam Emollient and Deep Moisture Curl Definer..When that isn't enough I also sometimes add some Aveda a solid hair paste from years ago or some of the Deep Moisture oil. This takes care of the last of the frizz and the wispy too dry hairs just in front of my ears that are really dry without a little more heavy paste of Deep Moisture oil. I don't like having to use SO MANY different products just to get my hair to look good...and then after an hour or two it looks dry again and less good. Any suggestions? Also, if you use the hair oil right before you shampoo aren't you just washing it out again when you shampoo your hair? Have you ever left it in overnight the night before washing? I go by Meli also! (Short for Melissa~)

We're so glad you tuned in for these gorgeous tips from Mell! When spot treating, you will want to identify the "problem" areas of your hair. You can then add a little extra styling love to these areas with different products or styling techniques. In this video, Mell used a finger coiling technique with a frizzier area of her hair.
