    I also have a Model 4, Clean up the rusted area and use gun oil on it and it will not rust. We use gun oil on the dies when bending and it makes it reel easy on the followers and the dies them self. When I first got it did not use the gun oil and just sitting in the garage when it gets humid out they would get rust coating on the center of the dies. The followers would not being almost like aluminum. Good luck with yours.

    New to the model 4.
    Looking for info on how to set up die set.
    As well as start of bend and where to line up bend start.
    Also what direction is best to feed bends. How to keep tubing from sliding through.
    Currently bending 1.5 .250wall with 5.5 clr.
    ???????

    What about the hydraulic unit? Was it purchased with the bender, or did you put together yourself?

    You wouldn’t happen to have an 1 1/2” 180° die laying around?
    They are 5 weeks out to get one.

    Can you bend aluminum square tubbing?

    • @infabprojects
      @infabprojects  3 роки тому

      Jd2 does make square tubing dies for this bender. I haven’t bent any aluminum with it myself but I’ve seen some people do it on forums.
