G’day from Australia, 🇦🇺 I have just discovered your channel on my journey to learn more about preserving and canning and have to say it is so informative, concise and well presented it makes it a pleasure to watch. As a qualified chef that started my apprenticeship 30 years ago in 1992 we were never taught about preserving or canning, always being encouraged to utilise fresh products, but I am now seeing the benefits of being able to harvest and preserve home grown produce and not only becoming more self sufficient, but the convenience. Looking forward to watching more.
You are sharing exactly what I came to learn today. I find your style of videos to be a great combo of information and visual. I just powered through three of your videos!! I've subscribed!
Hi..i love your videos,it was very helpful..do you also have tutorial videos about canning process using a lug jar lid type..? Also with sterilizing glass jars? Thank you😊
Great videos! So I bought a All American pressure canner cause I thought I needed it to do pickles... oops. Anyhoo, I’m assuming one could water bath can without the lid on the pressure canner, or perhaps just a regular lid to help keep water boiling? This fall I’m hoping to can some venison so I’ll keep the All American.
Thank you! Yes, you can absolutely water bath can in your All American. 😀 I do find with mine though, that with the wing nuts dangling down, they quickly get very hot. I’m sure they are rated for high heat, but over time I imagine they will start to deteriorate. I would just keep an eye on them, if you plan to do quite a bit of water bath canning in the All American. Keep me posted on the venison, that is a great idea! ✌🏻
