    Excellent instructions. Should be required viewing by all newbie canners. An acquaintance put in many hours of work canning multiple jars of venison. However, they stored the jars next to a furnace heat run in their basement causing the meat to spoil. So important to follow all the steps accurately. Thanks very much.

    The only caution i would give is not to use horseradish if you have thyroid issues.

    hey Jeff aka bear from cooking in the bears den here. just wanted to say you helped me decide to start my own channel a couple weeks ago. I've been wanting to do a homestead type channel. we had lots of animals to share with folks but i lost use of my left hand about 9 years ago from a stroke and left leg not to good. I can walk with a cane so couldn't really walk around and video taking care of animals. the one working hand holds the cane lol not very camera friendly.my wife worked full time hated t have her follow me around with a camera after she already worked all day. . but watching some of you canning and cooking and freeze-drying i thought well heck I love cooking and canning i have a freeze drier. i could do that type video and wouldn't need to carry a camera around .so 2 weeks ago i dove in and . I have no idea what I'm doing far as editing and such and my camera sucks but hopefully will figure it out and get better .thanks to all you guys for the inspiration..

    ... I thought pressure cooker and pressure canner were not interchangeable. I see you use All American pressure cooker, I have one as well. but from everything I've read, because it's a pressure *cooker* it has the potential to fail at canning properly.

    Awesome video. Well done. Gave me a few reasons why my first 2 batches of jelly may have failed to seal properly. I think I may have been putting the rings on too tight. Although "finger tight" can be very subjective depending on hand strength.

    Did you debubble? Great job and I like how you didn't take 1 minute of useful information and stretch it out for 20 minutes. Oh duh silly me it was raw pack. I purchased nice 'wash to remove' labels from Amazon. They are nice big labels, when you are done with the contents of the jar, scrub the outside of the jar to easily remove the label. Your lids stay nice - you can mark your lids as used so you don't mistakenly reuse them and have a jar that did not seal.

    Wonder if the roasting vs boiling resulted in the great color after canning? I boil and my beets lost some color. I have to use 15lbs due to my elevation.

    I made this recipe and it was closest I found until I looked at the nutritional facts and added a little sugar to the tomato and chilies. Also, it is eggs with a just little skim milk. Now I almost can’t tell them apart from actual McDonald’s ones.

      @@BecauseWeCan2020 No problem! Also, I don't have the cheese slice exact. They use Fronterra I believe which is suppose to have a lower melting point than most store brands. I've tried to match with different brands, but I'm going to see if I can track down that brand.
