We used to go to a beach house in Litchfield beach and could ride our bikes to the park from there. I would love to do a winter camping trip down there. The winter temps would still be better than winter in the VA mountains! New subscriber from the FB page.
Really, really great job! We lived in Myrtle Beach for 8 years (2006-2014) so we were regulars to Brookgreen Garden for their "Night of a Thousand Candles" at Christmastime and usually once in the spring when everything was in bloom. We also visited Huntington Beach as daytrippers and bike riders occasionally, so it was great to relive those experiences through your video. As irony would have it, we bought an RV in April of last year, so this year we're heading back up there, this time as campers, and we'll be staying at Huntington Beach State Park (Site 107, so it was great to get your perspective on those sites) in May. The Grand Strand is a very different animal in January compared to the summer, when it becomes one of the busiest areas in the country. We hope you get a chance to go back in the warmer months and really take advantage of everything the Myrtle Beach area has to offer (I noticed you went to MB State Park in February, which has the advantage of less people, but you miss the kinetic energy of being with 2 million of your closest friends!). You guys obviously must live in SC, based on your About description. We still miss living there ourselves, but we can't complain about where we live now (FL), either. Best of luck in your journeys and we'll definitely be following along! --Leo and Charlotte
Thank you for the kind words. We live in Sumter, so get to the beach pretty regularly. I'm heading over to Pawleys Island in the morning for a work trip. We have spent weeks at Ocean Lakes for years, but in a house. We bought our camper early last summer. After struggling to find really good content about some of our destinations, I decided to film our trips and put them out there for others. We've made 14 trips since the first week in June of last year and seen 27 or 28 of the 47 SC State Parks, so we've stayed going! I hope you enjoy your RV as much as we've enjoyed ours.
@@WeekendNonwarriors I'm certain we could sit down and chat for HOURS about your trips, and specifically the MB area trips. I wasn't into camping AT ALL for all the years we lived in MB, so places like Ocean Lakes, Lakewood, and Pirateland were all a giant mystery to me. Once we bought the RV, it was like a switch was thrown and suddenly I couldn't consume enough information about campgrounds, state parks, Corps of Engineers parks, etc. Trying to plan trips was like diving into a black hole and hoping we could learn enough to make intelligent choices about where to go. Videos like yours are pure gold, and we try to produce the same kind of videos for others that are looking for the same kind of information. I think we'd get along extremely well because you even like the same kind of choices in food that we do! LOL. Anyway, we'll certainly follow along on your journey and maybe if we're lucky, we'll bump into you along our travels.
Here is the website for info. Our kids have had a blast with it and the rangers have been so great with them.southcarolinaparks.com/education-and-history/jr-ranger/become-a-jr-ranger
We were there back in October! Great place.
Thanks a lot. Good job.
Nice review, loaded with information. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels.
Thank you. Heading out today on another beach trip. Thinking about doing a video to compare and contrast the two parks in the winter.
Haven't been there ,yet....but soon!

Thank you. We've really enjoyed the beach campgrounds in the winter. It's less crowded and more laid back.
