This was the very first destination when we first got our travel trailer back in 2019. We visited Huntington Beach State Park for a camper rally for the rustic trail teardrop group that made our original teardrop camper. We were in a bigger camper than but they still welcomed us with open arms. Great review. Thanks, Lou and Melody
Excellent video!!! This place looks so cool to visit! Alligators.....you dont have to tell me twice! Wow! and this alligator looked like he was part, albino!? or maybe it was just the way the camara caught it. Cool platform walkway. Love hearing the birds especially the red wing black birds! Cool big adirondack chairs in front of the gift shop, and I love the way they were specially painted!! Oh wow, very nice inside...I would not have any problem spending a good hour inside there! lol A castle? Cool. Oooo, yes, Melody and Milo. Hi guys!!! Wow, quite a few people were there that day! The beach was very nice! Very wide, which gave you alot of room, where someone doesnt come right up and sit on top of you! lol Great video Lou!!! enjoyed it very much, thank you! vicky : )
Great video! Thanks! Been following you since your Forbes Videos when my family first became interested in designated camping! Your videos helped us plan and understand what to expect. Thanks again!!
Yep - Pennsylvania now charges a fee to camp at their state forests to include the Forbes State Forest. We take a holistic approach to RV camping and share the full range of free and affordable camping options with our viewers. Appreciate the feedback! Lou
Love your videos. I live in Charleston SC. Just retired and bought a Subaru Outback to do some car-camping. Do you know if Huntington has any free or near free to car-camp not in need of elec or water, more dispersed camping
Look on our UA-cam landing page or our South Carolina playlist. I just reviewed Honey Hill Recreation Area and the Santee Coastal Reserve, both free camping locations just south of Huntington Beach, SC. lou
This is the best park ever. Especially the north end. BUT there are 2 issues with the north end. #1 is the tree clearance coming into the campground. We watched 5th wheels come in and tree limbs smacking the sides and tops of their RVs. I swear things got knocked off some of them, and I worried about their AC on the roof. #2 is back on the far loop where 109 is. We call that mosquito alley, and its horrible with all of the mosquitos. We don't even walk back through there except at midday.
