Multi Species Fly Fishing on the River Wharfe, Yorkshire

The river Wharfe is famous for being one of the best brown trout rivers in the country. However, in the lower reaches of the river (nr Wetherby, our local patch!) trout are harder to find. In this video we try to catch a brown trout on the fly, trying first with dry flies and then with streamers.
We caught a few nice fish along the way, including a couple of surprise chub!

Good, good vid! Grayling can be bloody impossible on the dry fly, drive you round the bend!
Good finish with the streamer fishing, I'm definitely going to be doing more next spring onwards! 👍

Thanks mate apreciate it! Yeah you're right, grayling can be so difficult on the dry. Streamers have been a bit of a revelation for me this year, caught so many good fish on them. Lovely stuff. Theres a very well known salmon river not far from me that throws up the odd surprise, and I've had dace, roach, perch, pike and even an eel on the fly. No chub yet, but it wouldn't surprise me.

5lb is a very good chub mate, love fishing Boston spa too but never targeted the chub, will have to give it a go!
