I am planning to work as a psychiatrist. Do you know anything about that? Is there anything that i have to do except the things you told? And do you know the salary of a psychiatrist?
Basic requirements are almost the same except if you have specialty training you need to present certificate of training and that they dont require prometric exam for specialists anymore. Salary depends on where you apply (govt or private). Goodluck!

Hi people here in Qatar are generally welcoming. There is a Turkish hospital here that is doing well. Salary depends on experience/qualifications and the institution so I cant realy say anything on that.

Hello. Thank you for providing us with valuable information. I was wondering about the fact that number of seats available for IMGs are very less. 1. They say 5 years post graduate experience in the qchp website. I suggest get 5 years work experience excluding intership just to be sure.
2. You can apply for assistant physician and then reapply for change of scope after completing the required number of years
3. yes you can take the exam anytime you like. The validity period is 3 years.
4. if you are employed as a gp here you are under a contract with your company so cant apply for training. they have other requiremenrs for residency training here. i will make another video for that.

Hi! I’m applying to be an intern on May this year at hamad hospital after completing my ifom exam. I heard that interns don’t get paid in Qatar, is that true? All I know is that only electives is unpaid and internship is paid everywhere else in the world

Hi! I did my 5yrs work experience in the Philippines. I finished my residency in Peads for 3 yrs but not completed my diplomate exam. Had to take extra 2-3 yrs more GP experience in the PI before working here. Mahirap makapasok ng residency training dito kc konti lng slots nla plus may mga graduates cla dito n mas priority. But you can check HAMAD website para malaman ang mga requirement. I suggest jan n lng mgtraining ka ng EMED para mas malaki ang chance makapsok s govt hosp. Mas malaki ang pay at benefits kc a govt.

Govt hospitals hire specialists and consultants. check the website of Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation for available jobs. You can apply there online. They do give visa sponsorships and allowances depending on what job you apply to.... for doctors, they do.

I came to work here in Qatar because my husband is working here as an engineer before we even got married. We are both doing great in our careers here so working in the US or UK is not an option at the moment. Prometric exam topic is a good idea for a video. Hope to make one soon.

i have question 🙋 but please be honest with me why many Philippines nurses doctors radiologist go to qatar 🇶🇦 or middle east when in Philippines is wonderful country beautiful and have many hospitals better than in middle east and they have better education im glad we have u guys here but i wonder 💭 why i wanna go to asian countries while u guys the opposite
For obvious reason that we get higher pay here. I think the same goes with healthcare workers from other countries like India, Pakistan, Egypt, etc

I finished bachelor of radiology 5 years and willing to go for medicine but I cannot shadow physician because not all of them wants so it’s difficult
I choose medicine not for money because my parents always devalued me since kindergarten saying im not that’s bright because I have attention issues maybe add im diagnosing myself using pet scan using fdg to see why im inattentive or daydreaming which is why I almost got hit by a car twice and forgetfulness and disorganized

Hi Sneha! Its really hard to apply if you are outside Qatar right now. Most employers prefer doctors who are based here locally because of the situation we are currently in. I think its not only here, even in other GCC countries.

@@sohailalamri2974 Hi. No, I changed my direction. However as I was searching what was out there, I found a page that sells books to prepare it. Yet, I don't know how reliable they are and it they prepare you well enough to pass. I wish you good luck if you are planning to apply to it.

Is the private hospitals in qatar provide 15k salary +family accomdation and child education allowance ? Or is it only in govt hospitals?
For doctots, In some private clinics they can provide housing and flight allowances but in govt hospital they give additional allowances like education max for 3 kids

Hi Dr! thNk you for your kind words. That was also my concern before. Intership is still part the medical course that is why we cant take the board exam if we dont complete 1 yr of intership. I personaly did not include my intership as an experience when I applied here in Qatar as a GP.

yes its not a common job postings here in qatar. They prefer GPs, Specialists and Consultants.

Hi Safia! Yes priority for medical intership is given to expats born in Qatar or those with valid residency permit. Just check the Hamad Medical Corporation website for their Intership Program requirements.

Hi the practice of homeopathy in Qatar is accepted as long as they received lic here. So yeah you can apply for GP license.
