Bro come back. I need you. I was a crappy guitar player so I decided to play bass and I’m still crappy and need you to help me learn Primus and stuff because you are really good at learning stuff. Please come back we need you.
Could you give phantom patriot a go? Soon? I’m going to be performing it at my college in a month. Love your content! No one else gives Claypool information on this level like you.
I'm not gonna have a video shot and edited in a month friend. I don't know all the fills, but I'm pretty sure the main part is like: G 7 D 7 v this A8 is a left hand tap, gotta come down hard with this A 888 h8 E 0h7 7 S triplet V S He doesn't do the 0h7 in the whole track; in the verses it starts with just an E7 slap. That triplet into a downward strum feel is also done in Nature Boy. Then this bit is thrown on G 10p9 0 7p6 D 10p9 0 7p6 A 8 8 E 77 P SS P V ^ V And then reversed with the strumming, so like G 6h7 0 9h10 D 6h7 0 9h10 A 8 8 E 77 P SS P V ^ V At 2:19 there's a strum at DG 9, bend those strings up. At least that's what Of Whales and Woe sounds like to me. He varies the strumming with live performances, as you can discern from the video "Les Claypool and his Fancy Band - 2006" (uploaded by LeDavDaveCorporation). Hope this helps!
Big fan of your content. If you could post a video on "the big eyeball in the sky," I'd greatly appreciate it. Im not skilled enough to learn by ear and couldn't find a live recording.
Hey man could you maybe do a greet the sacred cow tutorial? Love your tutorials, for me is the only way i get to play this kind of bassline, thank you.
Hey dude! amazing tutorial, i only have one thing to say, in the first riff he plays a open D and then he plays two times that D16 and the G15, they are not 3 times on D16, or that i hear on the recording
