    • @carinabella3393
      @carinabella3393 3 роки тому +31

      The director of the Netflix series, Tiller Russell, used a very small portion of the tapes for that project. They were lent to him by Phil Carlo’s wife.
      Phil Carlo is deceased so his wife has all of the tapes that were made; she has not indicated yet what she will do with them. For now she seems to be hanging on to them.
      I would be surprised if Carlo deleted much in the way of tapes. His book about Ramirez is good and likely the closest we’ll ever get to Ramirez’ “truth”, but honestly there are discrepancies all throughout if you read it more than once and line it up with news accounts.
      But again, we’re talking about Ramirez and we have no idea of knowing if he was 100% honest with Phil 100% of the time. I think he likely was pretty straightforward about a lot of things but there are many things that are impossible to verify.

      as much as i hate to say it, he’s really fucking intelligent. the things he says and the way he says them... his philosophy and view of life, it makes sense. it saddens me to see his wasted potential. even if he was a dumb bitch he could have been a model or something.

    The story of him is very interesting. Not one of those serial killers that seem to be normal, go to church (Ted Bundy) and pretend to have feelings and a life. That's probably because Ramirez wasn't a psychopath, he was capable of emotions, that's why in some cases he spared some of his victims. He himself has stated that he gave up on love and happiness a long time ago.
    I should say that, some time ago, I almost gave up on happiness, started to see only the bad side of the world, I've been through some shit, but not EVEN the 1/5 of what he had been through. Por eso, I realized how easy it is for some people to open that evil door.
    The way I see it, had he grown up in a different environment, this guy wouldn't have ended up being a serial killer.

      I don't think he was a psychopath, too. Although as he says, serial killers' conscience is dead, which means also empathy must be missing, but he has experienced abuse as a child and seen awful things. I think this trauma has made him turn off his emotions as a coping mechanisms. And when he got involved with drugs and crime, that's when he completely went down the spiral. Also, he has been a satanist. I think this must have been the driving force behind his sadism and murders. He was just possessed. I know some people don't believe in these things, but how can you dismiss it, when at some point he is smiling and seems at ease, and then you can see another footages of him, where there's such an anger in his eyes- he looks like a predator who just wants to kill.

    It strikes me, that when he says some serial killers will let you live if you talk to them...society sort of operates in a similar way. If you’re a popular guy or girl at the office, you’re less likely to be fired...a financial death. It pays to be a people person.

      yeah I realized that. I always kept to myself at my job because I really just wanted to get my job done as fast as I could without distractions. That would make it harder for people to want to help me. They'd rather go help the person who would engage in conversation with them. I didn't mind either way because I sometimes work faster alone. That's less people who would be in my way, and it would just make me look like an even better worker because I'm staying on task while my assigned help is somewhere else.
