Between this series and my last safari build series you should have a pretty good idea of all the steps involved. This one is just getting started so stay tuned !!
This car seems too nice to do a safari build. Must be more basket cases to choose from. As someone who lives in salt country chopping up good solid rust free cars is sacrilege.
Race cars cost a lot to build. My idea here is to build something to play with without spending tons of money.. It can always be turned into something else in the future as nothing I'm doing here is 100% permanent
looking like a nice project for the winter
I think so too!
Good pickup Pedro, looking forward to the build on this one.
Thanks !! Almost ready to start putting it back together
lot of Plus's here!!! Great snag
Thanks !! Let's see how the final product turns out !!
I imagine safari builds are gaining more attention now since Porsche released the new 911 Dakar
Actually I think it's the other way around. Porsche built the Dakar based on the demand for the safari builds based on the older cars
The interior looks good not bad over all. Install a CB radio where the radio goes? 🤷
Not a bad idea. But I think it's easier to just put in another radio with bluetooth. Gotta get with the times lol
Please document all the steps!

Got to agree what about an RSR race car build, backdate, flatnose or something different loads of options.
It's nice but not too nice. It has just the right amount of patina to play with. Besides, turning into a safari is completely reversible.

Bought a 79sc last year with similar intensions. Would love to see your safari build cost final build cost.
I'll post up costs once all is said and done and I know what the total is.
22k in fixes thats nuts for that money they should have repainted it too😂
For sure !! But then I would feel bad about modifying it !!
More details about $$ the better
Sure. When I finish it I will disclose the cost of the project.
