Conquering Lanes

On this episode of MUi Originals series, we're elated to cover the counter-stereotypical story of an admirable lady who drives an e-rickshaw transporting passengers around Moirang Bazar, a small town situated beside the scenic Loktak lake.
A doting mother to three children, Laisom (O) Babita learned to drive an e-rickshaw not out of poverty but due to sheer will and yearning for self-reliance in terms of her means of transport albeit at the odd age of around 48 years.
A testament to the saying, "Learning has no age limit", she serves as a beacon of women empowerment amongst many other lesser known admirable ladies in the state who are making a difference one step at a time.
