  • Una excelente canción de principios de los 80's del album Modern Times de 1981 y lo mejor es que esta en vivo.
Great song from the early 80s from the album Modern Times of Jefferson Straship - Save your Love -

This song has been one of my favorites for years! Jeff Starship knew how to spotlight the talent! The guitarist was SSSSSOOOOOOOOO underrated but he just killed it! He kills it on Stranger as well. Grace Slick was a kick ass compliment to the man! Great song writing, great musicians, great vocals, equals kick ass rock and roll! Kids, take note.

I think Craig Chaquico never received the proper acclaim for his talent. He was just a teenager when he joined the group. He is a an accomplished new age guitarist. He and Mickey Thomas are still friends and may collaborate again. I'm hoping for some rock music from Craig in the future.

Loved Craig's guitar tone much more during the early era of Starship, when he was using his Gibson Les Paul through vintage Fender and Marshall amps. There's shows in a S.F. club (Dec. 30/31, 1979) at Wolfgang's Vault, where you can hear that cool old vintage guitar tone of his. Craig started using and heavily endorsing Carvin amps and guitars, some time in the early eighties. His guitar tone had totally changed. Still a very cool solo and performance here. Had to be around the mid eighties too.

Not exactly "mellow, easy listening", is it? I think most of the people who complain so bitterly about this group really enjoy listening to them, but are afraid to admit it in public for fear of not being "cool". This video is just another example of a band that was really underrated-- especially the guitar player (Craig Chaquico). What a solo! You can't rock out much harder than that. Thanks for posting this fine memory. Love to see more!

Whether they were playing outdoors to 30,000+ in Sacramento or to a couple hundred at The City Lights in San Fransisco; these guys ROCKED everytime they took the stage! I saw them 22 times 7 years, including a Mickey Thomas solo band called Little Gadget & The Soulful Twilights who opened show for Elvin Bishop. If they were playing in the Bay Area- I went to see them and they NEVER disappointed! You knew when you walked into the venue, you were gonna leave smiling and satisfied!

I saw them do this live in 1982 at Walnut Creek just outside Chicago. A long-time favortie as much due to teh God-voices as the overall power and virtuosity. This is a much longer version; I like the way it starts. The current line-up is still doing songs off this album.
