Went on Saturday at 8 am and got a few! Found a couple of albums that I wanted for cheap like Thelma Houston & Pressure Cooker - I've Got The Music In Me and Pink Floyd - Meddle in great shape!
I always said if I ever could get to Montreal for a weekend. I would probably spend my entire time in that Aux 33 store. I've ordered some great stuff from them over the years.
I live a decent ways away from Aux 33 but I still manage to get a package from them delivered almost every week! They have a pretty spectacular selection of new used arrivals and they get just about everything new in every genre. Also walking distance from a number of other great record stores and easy to plan a day around a visit!
I was there two. and I grad a lot of classical records that I did not have and a few compilations. They were for the most in decent shape. Now I'm stoke to clean them before playing them😭, but most that I played sounded good and I'm happy whit my find😊. It's a good event for those who's looking for old classical records.
@@howtovinyl Maybe, who knows? There was a lot of peoples there and I went with my big scooter, so I have to make 3 small trip to fill it up and there was a guy with some assitants to fill up a chevyvan whit box of stuf.☺ Anyway it was fun.
I'd have driven up from Burlington VT for that sale if I had known! Wow. I probably would have dropped about $200 lol and been there all day. I'd have to declare 'used records' at the border, lol.
I doubt I would rush to a record show where the records cost a 1.00 Likely most of them are awful, wrecked jackets, missing stuff and probably scratched. Not my speed. I’d rather pay for quality, not quantity.
I tried digging once at a store in Toronto. Hated it. Didn't know where anything was, was just like guessing and completely random. Horrible waste of time. I prefer finding a seller on Discogs that has good selection, choosing the genre I like then going through the 1000 or so records he has in that genre and buying say 20 at once all in VG+ condition. Makes the price much more reasonable for example I can average about 13$ Canadian each and shipped to my door so I'm not wasting time driving around hoping I find something which will be super unlikely for the genre I was looking for. Thats a really good price especially for the type of music to me. Ive usually payed anywhere from 50-100$ just buying a single record so buying 10-20 maybe even more and spending a bit more upfront is worth it to me.
Man, their 1$ sales before pandemic were sooo much better. Especially electronic music (they are no experts). This time they had to pay us to get records...so much scrap...IMHO

I love Burlington! I always go to Autumn Records and 4 Quarters Brewing when I'm in town!

I totally agree. Still fun to dig but definately have to temper expectations on quality of what you can find.
