Great video. Just bought an RMAX and having thorough how to's are invaluable. Also, the tips / tricks / insights (dip stick, dry sump oil system, order of ops - no spoilers here🙂). Now to go check your vids for any other service vids you've done! thanks again for time / effort ... and link to owners manual!
Great Video, i just did my first oil change and put all the oil ( 4 L ) in the engine portion because i didn't read the manual or see this video. I have not started it yet so im wondering if it will sort itself out or if i need to drain the engine oil and redistribute it between the engine and tank?
Are the 2 seater the same as the 4 seater’s for oil locations. I’m thinking of buying a Wolverine 2 seater. Your video really helped me out. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, do you know if 5hey run synthetic from the factory ( I’m at my first oil change and was just curious) I’m putting in synthetic regardless
The information I gave is straight from the Yamaha owners manual, if you look on page 9-18 under the TIP, where it says refer to steps 11 through 21 of the “to change the engine oil“ section for the oil filling procedure. Everything I did, and said was spot on from the Yamaha owners manual. As a matter of fact, this video was viewed and approved by Yamaha. Thank you for your input.

Thanks Guy's! Wish it was the Rmax 2 and not the 4 but still, it was very helpful and we appreciate it!
Sorry about that, I don’t have an RMAX 2 or I would do one on that as well.
Great video! One of these days I’ll have an rmax. Even though servicing might be a pain, still better than wrenching on a Polaris every time you ride!
I hear ya Fred… 🤣
You don't have a Polaris either, do ya.
We’ve had about 40 of them over the last two years. Just got rid of 20 of them in March and got 20 Can-am’s for our Fisher’s Off-Road Rentals fleet.
What soap do you use for your sxs?

I would follow the instructions in the manual just to be sure you don’t blow any seals.
Would this be the same for the 2024 Wolverine XT 1000?
It would be similar but not the exact same. Your owners manual will have the exact details on your X2 1000.
Great video.
Thank you! 👍🏼

I don’t think it’s exactly the same but very similar.
Good video I love my R-MAXX!🙂
Thank you! 👍🏼
You were a big help thanks. And saved me $400!
You bet, thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Great video ! ThAnk you
You bet, thanks for watching! 👍🏼
It would be awesome if you made a follow up video on changing out the transmission and differential oil.
Ok, sounds good. I’ll work on that for ya Justin. 👍🏼
@@FishersOffRoad or a video on the adjusting the fuel injection synchronization mentioned in the manual 9-4
I have videos of trans and diff fluid changes on my channel

Yes they do.👍🏼
Hey man, you should run amsoil in everything
I’m an Amsoil dealer but they aren’t going to cover the machine if something happens. Yamaha will if I’m using their oil.
Yamaha must own stock it the company that makes the drain plugs.
Any videos in the future with changing the brakes?
I can do that buddy. I’ll put that in our video schedule. 👍🏼
Those fill capacities aren't right. It's more like 2.8 oil tank & 1.6 in the engine (qts)
Check the manual, this video was approved by Yamaha.👍🏼
Doesn't look very maintenance friendly. Very good video though.
It is more technical for sure, but worth the trade off. 👍🏼
STOP. Oil quantities stated are if you are not changing oil filter. If changing oil filter the quantity is 4.15L (4.39 quarts).
