  • Credit spreads are the most conservative and profitable way to trade the market. I especially like using them to trade Financially Strong Stocks. Financially strong stocks outperform the general market every year because they have the best Cash from Operations. The more cash the more options a corporation has to expand their business.

Instead of selling OTM PCS (Put Credit Spread), have you experimented with selling ATM PCS and using the excess credit to buy OTM call at the exp. measured move? For e.g. selling 10$ wide 30 delta PCS would fetch 1$ in credit. Instead selling ATM PCS would fetch $2.3 credit and I would use 1.3$ to buy a OTM 30 delta call effectively resulting in $1 credit overall. For stocks with higher historical evidence of touching measured moves, this clearly would be very effective.

That would increase the risk and reduce probability but you might get a (much) bigger win once in a while. No free lunch.
