Hello Kate. Don’t ever apologize for any content you create and share. Your visits are like I’m visiting a very good friend , comfortable and at ease. You will never make everyone happy, you said it perfect “ that’s what the delete button is for” Keep what your doing ...your doing it GREAT!
I expect that you won’t likely see this comment, given that this video is 2 years old. However, I’ve been watching a few of your older videos in the middle of the night lately. I recently broke my elbow and can only manage sleeping for two hours at a time, Tonight my lineup consists of colourwash liberty quilts, this one, and neon is next. I find your voice to be like a warm hug. I hope that doesn’t sound weird! . Thank you, Kate, for keeping me company in the middle of a restless night. 💜 Stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I've been doing the exact same thing! I've been recovering from pneumonia and having trouble sleeping. I put Kate on and her quiet attitude and soft voice helps me zone out and find sleep. Thank you, Sweet Kate.
Sorry about that damned technical nonsense... it drives me crazy too. Thanks for the chat though, I spent some much needed rest time watching a woman in the U.K. glue fabric onto a box. I could not be more grateful Kate. 😎🤗🤗🤗
Aww I just love videos like this Kate! I feel like I have been sitting up to the table next to you, watching you craft. In fact I hope it is a big table with lots of chairs because there must be dozens of us all sitting there in spirit lol. Thanks for making us smile Kate. Sending hugs to you and your furry family xxx
We really do appreciate all that you do in making your videos. Just know that all the frustrations you go through (and we know it’s not always like that) are worth it for us if that makes sense. So put the sledgehammer away, keep your hair on and thank you 🙏 it’s always so nice spending time with you Kate 🌺
You are quite right about the delete and volume buttons, that's why they are there. I am a crochet person and subscribe to learn techniques and patterns. I had to delete 2 people because it started to be more of a shopping show. Now your channel I like because you do a little bit of everything and I do like the sound of your voice, I find it relaxing. As a matter of fact, I'm subscribing as soon as I'm done with my comment. Thank you💗
I felt immediate relief for you when you mentioned the freshly brewed pot of coffee. Something about coffee, rainy days, bad moods; they just go together with a crafting "frenzy". How awesome is the internet that we can watch you work through it. Nice bit of brush work with the glue and sort of stabbing at those bits of fabric.
You and Norma are always a bonus for my day! Have a lovely time visiting your friend and dad. Don't go all "Office Space" on your computer! We'd all be crying. :( Sometimes you just need a mindless, calming task to let go and reset. Thanks for the chat, even if I'm two days late...
We consider it a privilege that you are willing to vent and share your frustrations with us! Thank goodness you persevered and fixed everything, You are a treasure and we are behind you 100 percent. Your videos cheer me everyday! Hugs.
My Dearest Kate, Those of us that have been with you since the beginning , love tour videos just as you do them. We love the quirky sense of humor and realism of your videos. Sadly one of the realities of getting a large number of subscribers,is that you often get haters. People whose lives are so terrible that they feel the need to try to bring down others who have found joy and success in what they do! Pay these haters no mind Kate, you keep doing YOU, as that is why we subscribed to you to begin with. Thank you for the bonus video Kate! 😄😃 Much Love, Joe Reid N.S, Canada
Hi Kate. I started binge watching your videos last night and came across the ones of the EPP dog. I have tried EPP in the past with hexagons, and it nearly drove me crazy. But over the last winter I had total knee replacement surgery, and I started doing some small project hand quilting. I found that I quite liked being able to sit and do a hand sewing project and not always sitting at my sewing machine or standing at my longarm. So when I came across your EPP dog, I decided to try it. So far, I have seven of the squares basted and am enjoying it very much. And as soon as I can get everything together, I’m also going to make a journal using your method. Quilting and reading will always be my favorite ways to spend my time, but I am enjoying learning and trying new things from your videos. I’m from Louisiana USA.
Looks like both of you and I are doing the same thing, binging on old videos. Fairly new to Kate’s channel, and I’m loving it. And I always thought EPP would be too hard and frustrating, but Kate convinced me to try it as well. I recently started my own hexagon quilt about a month ago and I’m loving it too.! Kate has inspired me to start a lot of new things. See you on the limelight green sofa. 😊
Good way to get your frustrations out, make something pretty and useful. Love Norma at the end, she was marking the box as hers. Such a pretty cat. I find myself smiling alot when I watch your videos, thanks. Have a wonderful day. :)
Always love your spontaneous chats, even if they are born out of frustration. Glad we could all be here to help you along the way. Hugs from across the ocean.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 My friend is visiting me, we are sitting outside, knit and watched this video. We both envy the lady who picked up the quilt and was able to spend some time with you and have a cup of tea 🫖. Really Kate, how I would love to have a neighbor like you. Take care and have a wonderful week! (I am not even sure you notice comments on “old” videos) Love Stephanie 🇩🇪
You always make me smile- even when you get frustrated like the rest of us. When it's my turn, I now know to grab a box, fabric scraps and glue. 💕 lovely
I love your attitude. And I Love your patchwork curtains that I saw when you showed us the cats. The curtains have a beautiful light. They look like stain glass windows. :)
We have so much in common! I am a HUGH fan of recycling and have long covered cardboard boxes with the same technique using brown paper packaging torn into smaller pieces, selvages from my quilting, book pages...all sorts of good things! The boxes are so sturdy and so wonderful to look at. I enjoy them so much. The technique is therapeutic, as well
You made lemons into lemonade. And you showed me a way I can have fun with fabric even though I don't sew. I often save sturdy cardboard shoe boxes to use as organization/storage bins instead of buying plastic junk. I am going to have a go at covering them with pretty fabric. Thank you for the inspiration!
You and I touch hands across the miles. Here in Colorado Springs, Colorado, we too have a rather dreary day. Spitting water and turning it into ice and snow. And today, my four cats are staying in, just like yours. We’ve been finishing up some housework. I laugh at how cats offer to fold socks, but are bewildered when they can’t. I’m a new subscriber and align with your common sense and wisdom. I love the Liberty fabrics! I’m currently working on a Birthday quilt for a dear friend and a baby quilt for a baby boy due in late summer. This baby will be another wonderful friend’s second Great-Grandchild. And that’s a clue to the fact that my friends and I are enjoying gray hair and wrinkles. *Sigh* So, hello from Colorado and keep up the good work at fighting back those frustrating feelings!
Dear Kate, hello from California I’m so happy to watch you covering the boxes with little bitty scraps. It wounds me to throw away any fabric and I always have thread everywhere I can glue some wads on my boxes. Thank you very much….also potato chip bark is my next project
Hi Kate! I've watched you for about 3 years now. This video just popped up on my feed. Sometimes we just need to vent & why not create something beautiful & useful while waiting. While watching you, I remembered that I have some paperboard boxes that are made to decorate/conceal boxes of tissues. Those boxes are a bit beaten up with age. This video has given me ideas!
I was looking for something to listen and watch while I was sewing a t-shirt quilt today, and I came upon this older video of yours where you're distressing. Thanks for chatting with us while you distress. Thanks for showing us that everything doesn't always work out perfectly, and wow, I'm looking at your board, your creation board behind you, and you had so many things going four years ago! I love listening to your comments and instructions and your little hacks for things that you have figured out in the process of gardening, quilting, beekeeping and all the other things you share with us. I look forward to seeing more on your the Last Homely Garden Channel.
It's raining here too. It's 10 pm on Thursday. My husband went to the doctor today to find out he needs a new knee joint. Then I couldn't find some things I needed for a project. Next week I might get to sew. But life does hand us roses. The flowers are blooming and I found this video. So, life is good. Take care, enjoy life and I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks Kate, glad to see Norma looking well. I was happy to sew my little felt flowers and watch you gluing. I did watch your Neon video, well done for trying something really different. Keep doing what you do as your You tube friends love following you on your crafty journey. Love from Ocean Grove.
Thank you for sharing your videos. All of us 'nest builders' enjoy the type of activities you share and the 'home feeling' you inspire. Uploads aren't always smooth so we appreciate your willingness to put your time into it.
Bonus video indeed! We do the same thing Kate when the universe, especially the technology universe, is thwarting us. Head for the craft table and pick up a lovely work in progress or begin a new one. Something to soothe jangled nerves and keep us from solving the problem with a hammer. Although hammering is very satisfying isn't it. I just picture myself doing it, and it helps with the frustration. Molly always knows when I'm feeling bonkers, she sits beside me ... at a safe distance. Glad things resolved themselves and I love the box. Best from Molly and me.
It’s interesting how we all love your videos, but can’t agree on the music! That was a fun little project. I’ve preserved boxes with decorative packing tape, but I’ve never mod podged fabric - good idea! TFS!
I love listening to anything you are doing while I work and if it's something really interested in like watching you sew something I will watch a few times. Your music or whatever noise is in the background I appreciate it. First I'm alone with my deaf son so any music or talk is appreciated. Much love your way Kate, keep up the good job. Love covering boxes. I need one for my kitty toys, I make him.
Oh, how I would love a large box of Liberty scraps, like yours! I am happy for you. I love your creative spirit! I would really enjoy having you for my friend, in real life.
Even at your worst, you are awesome! So please don’t apologize! I had the idea of covering boxes with my tiny pieces of fabric, but I didn’t know what glue would work well. Needless to say, I have quite a number of boxes to be covered 😂. I do love your videos ❤
Reference “the music”. You can’t please everyone. I like all your videos and the music choices. The board behind you looks very interesting. It was a pleasure to listen to you vent your frustrations. Most people wouldn’t be quite as civil as you were.
I have been enjoying your videos for over a year now, and only lately have I found older ones that are available. Today I had the pleasure of viewing the May 9,2019 bonus where you had equipment problems and were quite frustrated as you pasted scraps of fabric onto a little box while you vented alot of frustration. What a pleasure to get to know you this way, as you tried to convince yourself that" everything would be fine, it doesn't matter, it's not important..." You were each of us at this time, and I couldn't help but smile throughout. But then you suggested perhaps the need to use a sledgehammer, and I burst out laughing...my cats came in to see and decided that I had lost my mind. Thank you, Joan Griswell in the high mountains of Traphill, North Carolina (US) and my two cats
I love watching you creating. When me and my partner are stressed we tear out pictures and words from old magazines or junk mail and put them in folders . They are great to use for collage ,covering books or making special birthday cards and of course for using in journals like one of your videos. I have also made fabric paper . You do what you did onto muslin and when it is dry you scrunch it up to soften it and then you can make sewn items with it or embroider on it. X
Always delighted to listen and watch you witter on.... I watched the neon sign one yesterday, the Patreon one this morning then this surprise one with my mid-morning cup of tea. I'm really enjoying the Liberty series. Keep doing what you're doing Kate. You're wonderful.
Rainy day project! Your vids de-stress me, thx. I'm enjoying a coffee and catching up on all my UA-cam 'friends' today. When I watched the neon vid, I thought Harry Potter scar also. You bit of neon would go in your Pink room!
I often need a frustration outlet, and this would be the perfect idea. I have lots of Scrappy bits I can't part with, and now I see how I can use them. Thanks for sharing this.
Loved the box, those Liberty scraps look fab. Friendship is all about tea and wittering on, so please carry on. The rest of us on the Lime Green sofa don't mind a bit. Love from 🏴 Land of Dragons.
Great to see positive stress-relief video. Nothing like turning a frustration into a win . We probably all had a cup of tea ' with ' you . So that's a win/win for us all . X
Hi Kate, Kim here in Amarillo , Tx. I love your videos, your content, and your happy, bubbly personality. I have learned much from you and will continue watching. Thank you for being human and sharing your life with us.
Such a lovely sweet lady you are. Frustration can be good sometimes when it produces such a wonderful idea of making a beautiful box. LOL So glad your computer hiccupped that bug out of it's system and started cooperating. I enjoyed this video. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Oh I loved that there was a bonus video fro you today. I enjoy listening to you 'wittering on' as you called it and love the box you made too...such a great idea for using up scraps. Thank you for sharing. x
So glad you didn't take a sledgehammer to anything. Love the box and it works for so many different reason but the best is that if helped you through your frustrations. Plus it is going to be very useful, that's always and added plus.
had a day like yours Kate so was watching you while making my hubby a 32nd Wed Ann card ... craft really is a great mood changer eh...love your liberty box..you could also bend the tiny pieces of liberty thru a paper clip & staple, tie or glue it ..they make nice page markers in journals etc...we are praying for rain at our farm so will have your rain if you like :) I love the way Norma chats to you...I miss my 18yr old ginger tomcat Pang chatting to me while I cook & hang out the laundry, Ahri's not much of a chatter, more of a snuggler.
Wow what a brilliant idea. I use shoe boxes to store my craft equipment. And have a load of old shirts that I am loath to throw out, now I have something to do with them, and the fabric will look a lot better than the adidas logo! Thank you for the idea.
28.10.22 when I’m having a sledgehammer day I watch The Last Homely House and my whole world falls back into place. I’m now thinking William Morris scraps and shoe boxes!! Thanks Kate…. Pennie By The Sea
So sorry you had such a bad day with the video problem. But so glad to see another video. I don't know why people are critical of any part of a video you put out for us. I love your choices in music, content, etc. You work so hard to give us such fun and you are so inspiring to me and others. I've learned so much from you, had so many laughs. It is wonderful to be able to share your life. Your new box looks like a castle to me. Liberty Castle Box.....Keep up the wonderful work!!!
Thank you Kate for the bonus video, technology can be very frustrating so its best to have a play with fabric! Love the box and I am glad you didn't use the sledgehammer! Blessings to you! x
Frustrating as technology may have been for you, I (and more likely we) find comfort in your videos. Thank you! I typically have a little quilt project going at all times. My sewing room is my “go to” place and the sound of my sewing machine always lifts those frustrations away and I feel grounded again. Please thank your Norma, too, for her comforting purr. 🥰
Thank you so much for this video! I made a quilt for my youngest grandson's first birthday and used some large decorative letters to use as templates to appliqué his name on it. The letters were supposed to be painted, but I had his older siblings cut up bits of the leftover quilt fabric and they had a blast gluing them on the letters using your technique. It became their present to him for his room. They were so proud!
Nice visit Kate. Love the Liberty box. Your mention of a sledge hammer reminded me of my late husband when things went wrong. He had a sledge he called "Big Bertha" to deal with frustrations. Still miss him so much even after almost 5 years. Please keep doing what you do. xxx Kathy
That was a great bonus video!!!! I enjoyed watching you cover the box.....it looks great.......and I can certainly sympathize with your frustrations. Just so you know.....all your UA-cam friends are here anytime you need an ear. I am exactly the same.....if I am frustrated , doing something creative is just the best medicine......it soothes the soul....even one in need of a good rant!!!!! Hope your day got decidedly better Kate. Take care, Maureen
How I envy your cool, rainy spring weather. Where I live in SW Georgia, US, it's 87 degrees. It will only get hotter from here for the next several months. I am a rainy day person myself. I find them peaceful and usually quite productive. So glad to see Norma. Love your peaceful home.
I like your curtains. They are very unique. I think I would like something similar on my bus's (RV) windows. I too love covering boxes since I can do other things while doing it, like you talk and I can watch you, lol It is cold across the big pond also.
Oh Kate....I had myself a chuckle when you mentioned getting the sledge hammer 😂😂😂. It reminded me of day I was mowing the grass and the lawnmower kept dying on me. Dear hubby came around the corner of the house with a sledge hammer and put it out of its misery .😅😂😅 wish had a video of that moment. Lol ❤
I get frustrated when I can’t watch my friends on UA-cam. 🙁 I miss my friends. The purring was wonderful. Always happy to visit with you. Your box is beautiful! Take care and have a wonderful day.
Yes, it’s always a “Bonus” to me when there is one of your videos to watch. Maybe that’s why I binge watch them. Lol. But I have to say my favorite part is when Prudence meows and you just Stop and see what she wants. Gave me a chuckle. I love your devotion to them all. Love the covered box idea, may make one myself out of my hoarded scraps. Take care.
I don't mind listening. You gave me an idea about converting a bigger box into supplies box with sections. I really enjoy watching you and being inspired by you.
I've just discovered your videos. I enjoy this little chat and the lovely box on this, also, very rainy day in the north east of France. Thank you and Love from France
It will all be fine, no worries. Today I'm preparing for a high tea party in our community next Wednesday. Making paper flowers for decorations. Later in the weekend pastries.
Hi Kate well I'm enjoying your positive approach to frustration. It's given me an idea with all the square boxes I've collected from my Essential Oil deliveries and will put my 5" squares in preparation for my Flying Geese project. Thank you for the inspiration. Glen

I've been doing the exact same thing! I've been recovering from pneumonia and having trouble sleeping. I put Kate on and her quiet attitude and soft voice helps me zone out and find sleep. Thank you, Sweet Kate.
I'm glad to know you have your lovely stone farmhouse to shelter you and the cats on such a day, and sweet Norma to cheer you at the end.

TheScentedPath I’m sitting here as well, what a great place to be at. Thank you Kate.
its a big table - big enough for all of you! xxx
That’s exactly how I felt as well, you described it so well (the scented path). And thanks Kate for being you.
Yes exactly...I’m at the table with you guys and I am relaxed and learning! Oh yes, I’m also distracted with the cats!!

Thank you for sharing your videos. All of us 'nest builders' enjoy the type of activities you share and the 'home feeling' you inspire. Uploads aren't always smooth so we appreciate your willingness to put your time into it.
Always just nice to spend some time together and the reminder about not letting technical glitches get in the way of a good day.
TFS!
You are a very special person, and you just go thru what we all do one day or another. You are loved.😊
yes!!!!! Love her .
I enjoyed watching you make the box and of course seeing Norma
Glad everything worked out in the end and that no sledgehammers had to be used. Thanks for the bonus video. The box is lovely.
I enjoyed your “wittering on” while I tidied my kitchen. Thanks for keeping me company.☺️
Now I know I'm not alone. Had to laugh at the 'sledgehammer' remark. Love the decoupaged box. Great idea. The box that frustration made.
Enjoyed sitting on the lime green sofa and listening to a friend...❤
I love watching you creating. When me and my partner are stressed we tear out pictures and words from old magazines or junk mail and put them in folders . They are great to use for collage ,covering books or making special birthday cards and of course for using in journals like one of your videos. I have also made fabric paper . You do what you did onto muslin and when it is dry you scrunch it up to soften it and then you can make sewn items with it or embroider on it. X
all very good stress relievers! xxx
I love watching you craft while I knit. I also love hearing the cats meowing and purring. 😻😻😻
Vent anytime it’s needed! Better than keeping it in, festering. Pretty trinket box was the bonus!
Thank you for sharing. x
Oh having a video from you and a bonus one at that was great. Thanks Kate. Always wonderful to see you and Norma
Up since 205am. It's now4am. I was thinking about straightening up the sewing room. Glad I found your new post.
28.10.22 when I’m having a sledgehammer day I watch
The Last Homely House and my whole world falls back into place.
Please keep doing what you do. xxx Kathy
kathy oneal sending love Kathy xxxxx
That was a great bonus video!!!! I enjoyed watching you cover the box.....it looks great.......and I can certainly sympathize with your frustrations. Just so you know.....all your UA-cam friends are here anytime you need an ear. I am exactly the same.....if I am frustrated , doing something creative is just the best medicine......it soothes the soul....even one in need of a good rant!!!!! Hope your day got decidedly better Kate. Take care, Maureen
That was great I just love watching you with all your crafts Daphne .Australia Don't hit it with a hammer .you will find a home for it .
I too love covering boxes since I can do other things while doing it, like you talk and I can watch you, lol
It is cold across the big pond also.
Lol ❤
I love the creativity that comes from frustration 🌧
Liked this video.. better than the neon workshop.. my kind of thing.. thank you xxx
Take care.
My goodness I loved this! Reminded me others are human too not just me! It's like visiting with a friend. Love Norma!
Glen
