The shampoo bar is my fav shampoo period. I have the twist whip butter. I haven’t used it much. I need to use it more.i just have so many products brands.
You need the curl moisture cream. That leave in is bae. It’s doesn’t have smell and pairs well with just about anything. It goes so well with the twist whip butter
I agree that the current Obia Naturals offerings appear to be geared toward offering healthy and non toxic hair health promotion. A lot of their products and all their stylers contain glycerin which could be the case for frizziness or loss of definition. I hope their next offerings will contain glycerin free medium and hard holding stylers that can bring out and hold more definition on the hair. I do have to commend them on their Curl Enhancing Custard that nicely clumps my 4B/4C hair with not only medium hold but a hold that is able to be stretched and still hold definition even though the product contains glycerin. I was worried because it both had protein and glycerin and thought it would leave my hair dry and frizzy but that was simply not the case. While I prefer stretched styles to wearing my hair in its natural kinky state I can see myself continuing to use this product as my hair gets longer and I feel more comfortable wearing wash n gos. That custard really clumps my hair and leaves it feeling moisturized after the take down without needing to scrunch the crunch out with oil. Hair stats:4B/4C, medium density, fine strands, high porosity, medium length.
The curl moisture cream is the leave in, you used the daily refresher spray as the leave in. I got a pretty good twist out with the curl moisture cream and the sweet almond heavy cream. I have never used the deep conditioner.

KandidKinks I love Obia Naturals and the products are really moisturizing. I’ve tried all of their products and here’s what I would suggest for a twist out. I’m high porosity FYI The Curl Moisture Cream is a good leave in BUT they have a Babassu Detangling Conditioner that comes in a yellow bottle. That conditioner is one of the BEST leave ins I own. It says to rinse it out but it’s only 8 ounces so I leave it in and it has slip for days. I would suggest pairing that with the Sweet Almond Heavy Cream for a fluffy yet defined twistout or the Curl Enhancing Custard for a twistout with hold. Hope this helps. Texture Love that detangler is bomb, if she’s high porosity, she will love it, and even though it contains rice bran oil, I don’t rinse it out, and i put the curl moisture cream on top then the sweet almond heavy cream. I don’t use as much of the detangler as I see most use in videos, a little goes a long way.
Nice review 👍🏼😉 I would use the twist butter as the leave in if it gives good moisture and use a light gel for more definition maybe that will give you the full look you’re looking for cause I see what you’re talking about. I’ve never used these but when I have creams that give me moisture but not enough definition that’s what I do...hope it helps
I don’t really use this brand to get a lot of definition, however, I do understand that some of us want to see some curl poppage! I really love how healthy my hair has been for the past year. Maybe it’s not the products and it’s just the consistent routine but I just love how Obia’s stuff feels in my head. That neem bar is so good! I’m glad you liked it too. The almond cream, neem soap, and twist butter are my staples. I don’t use the twist butter for twist outs or anything specific. I just use it as a thicker cream to put on after the almond cream (which I use as a leave in). And I didn’t realize that Obia had a following!! There were barely any UA-cam videos reviewing the products when I first started using the line 😭. That’s crazy.
I have had this collection since 2017 and haven’t used it yet. I don’t like that it has no scent and now seeing your review idk if I will ever use this line. 🤷♀️ I’m glad to see you’re back doing product reviews.
The deep conditioner was just okay for me. The hydration spray is a refresher and works great to hydrate twists throughout the week. My hair loves the twist whip butter but I pair it with the Oyin hair dew.
My first use of the protein free dc wasn’t best. But i used it after did aphogee protein treatment and applied and had better slip, my hair was soft and hydrated. And i love the custard (not the smell) for a one product wash n go. The curl moisture cream is the leave in not the hydration spray.
I have mixed feelings about this brand. Loved the products, but hated my ordering experience. Took forever to ship and received no response when I reached out to customer service.
