Leon O'Grian correct this game as it is now. Its not ESP pricing. Thats not fair to consumers. Else we have a Bethesda raising prices issues, or issues with devs cutting DLC, selling it cheaper. All that skews it. Otherwise I would have said Titanfall 2 and future possible but maybe not DLC review
ACG Alright, I see where you're going with this, fair enough. But I do feel that it should be brought up especially with the games that are trying to sell you dlc that isn't out yet. Not saying it's your responsibility for others not using a buyer beware mindset, but it's something I like to hear personally... All in all good reviews I liked the format very much.
Leon O'Grian Consider it not at all trusting of anything not in my hands at the time of review. I just dont have the manpower to go adjust reviews if something changes
To all the people who say they're waiting to buy it cause they don't know if the community will be stable: YOU are the reason its not gonna be stable. I've already seen around 200-300 comments saying they are waiting cause the first community died so fast, except they forget that it died so fast cause of lack of content, which is a non-issue here. If you want to get it, GET IT, help the community actually stay up instead of waiting passively with everyone who is waiting, letting it die on purpose.
I still can't fathom why the hell Titanfall 2 is released so damn close to Battlefield 1. I had totally forgot about it because everything is just about BF1 at the moment.
Kind of disappointed that you breezed right over the campaign. There were so many creative aspects of it that you don't see in FPS games nowadays. That section with the time-shift mechanic was amazing. I'm a platformer at heart, and this game had plenty of very creative platforming and gunfights. Campaign was 8.5/10 imo.
ACG thanks for the comment back! I guess we are in disagreement on that. The story itself was lack luster, but the gameplay within it was very entertaining for me in comparison to all of the call of duty games I've played. Regardless I agree with everything else you had mentioned. Love your videos and the time you take to provide viewers with solid reviews!
Jesse Palmateer the story was amazing, it’s just that they didn’t build on it. If they did, it would be near rdr2 level. The way they made you attach to BT is crazy, and I agree that the gameplay is amazing.

Clesarie So because you give your opinion on Pewdiepie makes it fact? And who are you to say my time isn't that valuable lol? I'm 30 and just got told I have another tumor in my stomach. You are pure ignorant. If I don't wish to watch ads who are you to tell me? You realize it's not even illegal. It's well within the law. You won't regret it, and I want to be able to play this for a long time to come.

1 hour in SP, 1 hour in MP, and I can already tell TF2 is going to be my favorite game to date. Not 1 thing to complain about. I feel like I wasted money on BF1.. and I really like BF1 but TF2 is giving me the same feelings as when I stayed up all night and beat the 1st Halo in 1 night when I was younger.
It is June 2017 and Titanfall 2 is still going strong. With constant updates and especially after the multi-player mixtape update to improve population in under utilized modes, it is hands down the best futuristic shooter of this generation (as of now). Also, I just hit Gen 11.
First, Battlefield 1 and now Titanfall 2. EA just hit a double whammy in the FPS genre. The release timing for BF1 and Titanfall 2 is a bit too short, but releasing them before Black Friday and Christmas? EA is going ham on the FPS market.
Yeh, but I feel it's kind of unfortunate as a lot of people can't spend 120 on both BF1 AND Titanfall 2, which is a shame because I think they're both very good.
Arghhh I just wanted you to look up at the skybox! Titanfall 1 had amazing skyboxes filled with life, the best Ive seen in a game. I remember there was a map with dragons in the background and some would even land on the ground in the map and get killed. Is there similar atmosphere like that or have they realized it is all mostly fluff?
ACG seriously though, it takes like 8 days to get the info I want and half the time it's vague. This channel is a God send for me as you cover everything in a consistent manner. If I want music review, I can skip to the general area you do this in, and I can get it. Very well refined, and I hope to see more from ya :)
Karak please don't ever change how you do reviews. I go to every review site, and you are by far the best. Unbiased, thorough, and down right entertaining. Your alliteration and ability to turn a phrase is astounding. You're always going to get folks who complain, but I can tell you as a gamer in his 30s, you get it. Keep up the good work, love your channel.
Have been playing Titanfall 2 for a week now. Let me tell you, you nailed the description on the controller. Have never seen better controllers on a game before, so effortless, so much precision. It felt natural. You don't get to appreciate how well there were made until you play other game.
FluFFy ToasterZ some people don't like WW1 games. I hate any realistic shooter such as CoD or battlefield myself, myself. Just because you like a game doesn't mean everyone has to. Go play with the other die hard fans and have fun instead of dragging the people who don't wanna play those games into a fight :)
One thing i don't like is the occasional switches to third person. It was so much better in the original where the game was always in first-person. Also, the original was pretty intense because it always had music playing in the background, which is something this sequel does not have.
This game going full multiplat will help it quite a bit, especially with how big the Playstation audience is. Even Battlefront still had quite a few players on PS4 the last time I checked, so a game like Titanfall 2 should at least last a few years on PS4, if not the other systems as well. It won't bring in COD or BF numbers but it should have a pretty solid and dedicated player base if it's as good as reviews have been saying.
***** Well compared to other fps the player base wont be ass strong, you have battlefield, cod infinite warfare and cod 4. so three other fps shooters. The game is amazing i have it, but player base from where i am is not that strong.
Is anyone else having the issue where the game won't save on PC? I played for an hour and when I quit, the game doesn't save and I have to start over again, and it keeps happening!
A Very Disappointed Red Engineer Actually the very first game Wario was in (Super Mario Land 2) he was the main antagonist. Therefore securing his spot in the villain HQ. Boom! knowledge. Btw Awesome name.
Should have mentioned that beautiful second level with the simulation/home construction and how you need to navigate that in a way you wouldn't expect. That left me speechless.
i have never been so relieved to see a game review haha! i preordered it, and didnt know if i should pay the other 55 dollars, but after watching your review, i think i would like to!
I wish they had more Pilot v Pilot modes, like an objective based one. The game plays so well, however sometimes the titans do just get in the way of a decent shoot out and I'm not always feeling it. Desperately holding back on getting infinite warfare..
Spexs FT It will die in a month. Nothing new, and still looks like COD. Respawn is a one trick pony. They might as well beg Activision for their jobs back. Infinite Warfare is a failure as well.
I have BF1 and Titanfall 2 and honestly, who would dislike this game? I play this game much more. Visually? It's simply amazing, campaign is short but original, and the new Frontier mode is simply astounding. Also, the new Xbox One X update provides high end PC visuals...if one has not tried this game, it's a sweet game and at a bargain price.
Nice review. I have thoroughly enjoyed both Titanfall 2 and it's predecessor, but it's a damn shame it already lost it's second chance to be a major success because it got eclipsed by other games (like battlefield one, which 2 be fair is also good). Now all we can do is hope that the servers stay populated longer than the first game did.
i saw robot jox as a 2 year old and always remembered the black and white robot fight. I just couldnt remember the name finally through tireless google searches and forum reading I discovered robot jox name once again as an adult. Thankyou for the reference to it!
Just downloaded and won my 1st. match! As a fanplayer of the original game, I can definently recommend TitanFall2. Its actually better than the original, despite some of the bad old bad reviews. Game has good FPS performance. Good graphics options. Smooth gameplay and good game mechanics. Overall a huge improvement on the original. And damn.. The singleplayer. It is actually pretty darn good!
Really disagree on the music. I'm in love with the new Titanfall 2 Main Theme. It produces this huge orchestral power that I haven't seen any similar shooters.
lalo 1245567899413 I feel ya. I think I'm actually going for Skyrim. I played it but not that much. its also a complete package. no extra dlc or anything. I also feeling a break from multiplayer shooters. I love them but I'm kinda burnt out. kinda wanna just kick back and get lost in Skyrim. that said, they're all great choices. LOVED the bf1 beta.
lalo 1245567899413 i think tf2 seems more promising personally, if you wanna play the skyrim, then im pretty sure you can buy it for 15 dollars somewhere, the remastered graphics look really nice actually, but i dont know if i would wanna spend 60 dollars on practically the same thing
Great review as always. Love to see a review on battlefield 1 vs COD IW/R vs Titanfall 2..... certainly shut a few fan boys up. Personally think each one has something different to offer. Just wished I had more time to play them all.
Well, 5 hours into Titanfall 2 and I'm loving it! I played the first two campaign missions and then went into multiplayer. The campaign is solid so far, but lets face it, we're all here for multiplayer. I miss the burn cards and rodeo kills from the first game, but other than that everything has been improved. You can still rodeo an enemy Titan, but can no longer doom it. All you can do is remove one of its batteries and drain a significant chunk of it's health. Dooming a Titan no longer counts as a Titan kill either, only an assist. You must be the one to deliver the final blow to be credited with the kill.
Color Bars Ok, something that some players are doing tonight that is annoying me. The AI in this game is almost too good. Its so good that many players are opting to not even board their Titans. They are putting them in protect pilot mode and attempting to deal double damage.
Chef Danger Yea, the titans can hold their own pretty well. I've noticed that. I spent some time out of my titan in one match while capping points and my titan got 3 kills faster than I would have lol.
Color Bars Yeah, it's still happening and more players are discovering it, and I tried it myself. Its a winner. Unless Respawn releases a patch that dumbs down Titan AI this game will not be what they want it to be.
are we getting a Civ VI review? I mean, I preordered that thing the moment it was announced and have been playing it like crazy already but it's always nice to see your opinion
The amount of alliteration you use in your reviews is a bit much, otherwise I love your content and thought-provoking reviews and have been subscribed for a couple weeks now. Keep doing what your doing!
ACG your telling me you don't repeat the starting letters of words on purpose? I notice it a lot. for example: peachy purple pumpkins. That's alliteration. what evs
damnit. The channel is spasing out. Anyway. You may think I write these or something. I don't. So just normal speech patterns. But I am absolutely sure some words will have the same letters.
That's my concern with multiplayer. Despite how good the package is, the game might die after the first month. I'd probably just get Battlefield 1 or even CoD if that turns out good. At the very least those two games assures me there would be people playing months after they were released.
The #1 thing that destroyed Titanfall 1 was the DLC maps. The core game had very few maps and having to pay for more split the community in two, it was split further with each new DLC map pack. Titanfall 2 won't have that problem, since it will release all of it's maps for free.
clayton shirey What region and what platform? On PC there's virtually nobody playing on East and South East Asian server for a long time now. Sure, you'll get a few matches here and there but it's dead for all intents and purposes.
I bought this game after playing the tech test on PS4 almost entirely because of the excellence of the weapons. These are the same devs responsible for my favorite Call of Duty titles, and their weapon design has always been impeccable. Looking forward to getting my money's worth out of this game. And, once again, great review.
This game is a blast. I wanted a little more, but at the same time I don't blame them for playing it a little safe, you can only do what resources allow. That free dlc they announced is pretty awesome.
question I thought you were going to bring up, did they fix the way points were earned in multiplayer? in the first game so much value was put into killing the stupid grunts.
Great to hear that Titanfall 2 turned out better than the first game. I really loved the first game, for about 5 or 6 hours and then it started to drag. I've thought about going back to it now and again but with how quickly the game died on the PC I never really felt it would be worth reinstalling. I'm going to wait and see how the community for this one goes before picking it up. It seems a bit weird for EA to release this so soon after Battlefield 1 and so close to COD, though. I can't imagine it's going to do the game any favors. This seems like a game that would be better suited to a Feb or March release, where it's not going to risk being lost in the flood of other big holiday releases.
How quickly it died on PC? Um, there were still thousands of people playing it a year after it came out, if memory serves me correctly over 10 thousand people to be exact.
It might be because I bought it yesterday, but I've seen a max of 750+ players on TF1 PC. I mean, it's not hard to find a match, but saying "thousands" is just plain misleading.
For the record as someone who tends to be sensitive to frame drops, I've never noticed it go down at all, and you mentioned dynamic resolution. I'm also very sensitive to resolution (I can't hardly play Halo 5 MP) and I didn't even know it had dynamic resolution. Always looks very sharp and smooth to me.
dude... in Germany there's a saying: Du bist der Hammer! If u translate it word by word it'd mean: u're a sledgehammer. what it really means is: you/your channel is goddamn awesome! Keep it up!
Thinking of getting this but the first burned me too much to buy this at full price. I remember playing matches in the first where I couldn't find a single pilot(not including Titans) and spent full matches just killing those braindead bots cause those were all I could find. Hard to believe but that wasn't that fun.
I've been waiting for this review and you and Jeff Gerstmann have sold me on getting this game. From the free maps/features and no season pass whatsoever to the point that I really liked Titanfall 1 (but it lacked weapons and content) so I'm really happy to hear about that. I can't wait for my copy to arrive (yes I'm one of those strange PC gamers that sometimes gets PC physical retail for certain games) so thanks a lot for the review Karak!
I don't like Titanfall that much (probably have to give it more time) nevertheless, I consider this franchise to be one of the most honest on the market. This is so rare in these horrid days for games that I truly think it deserves to be bought... After all, with so much overhyped shit in our STEAM/ORIGIN/UPLAY libraries (which never deserve a second chance) at least we will have a game that is unpretentious and relatively fun. Unfortunate that in 2016 we are longing for games which have some semblance of what was being launched a decade ago (STALKER/FEAR/HALF LIFE/MASS EFFECT...). How the industry has fallen that we are now happy to get a mediocre game. Cheers.
What is the name of the game shown in the "PC Reviews" link at the end of the video? 9:43 PS. Your channel is the first and only thing I've ever subscribed to on UA-cam. Great Work!
At least Titanfall 2 has a campaign and it doesn't come with any DLC nor a season pass. I'll wait for a price drop if I end up buying it. Also, Watch Dogs 2 and Dishonored 2 are my top priorities as a far as AAA releases are concerned. That aside, you deserve a mech sized thank you for the hard work and effort that you put into each video. Thanks and keep it up Karak!
First review from you that I disagree with. You listed a ton of reasons why the game isn't so great...then go "absolutely buy it", after listing reasons not to.
Hmm. Strange, you started off good, but near the end you listed a bunch of things that weren't so great about it, then said buy it. So I was confused - defo felt like you were going to say wait for a sale.
I have been enjoying this one quite a bit. Just playing through the campaign at the moment, which I think is pretty decent. Will tackle multi-player later. One thing I have enjoyed in the campaign is the enemy chatter as you are making your way though some of the mission segments as the pilot. In one mission I recall hearing an enemy say "Entire squad dead, I'm the only one left!" just a second or two before I blasted him with a shotgun. Lol.
Good review, ACG! I'm not as interested in online multiplayer games these days because of work and already having my particular online games in rotation (as well as being more interested in narrative driven experiences), but it's nice to see that Respawn Entertainment addressed criticisms of the last game and expanded what the series got right.
i bought battlefield 1 over this and it was a huge mistake, battlefield 1 is garbage in my opinion, maps are lame and everyone just runs around like headless chickens with no teamwork and tactics, i refunded it so fast; may wait for titanfall 2 to drop in price im having a hard time trusting games right now
its not garbage theres good things but definitely not 60 dollar good, and its definitely overrated, i played a few hours of it, its very mindless Adrian Popa you dont know what youre talking about
First of all you said is garbage now you said no it isn't and second thing I have the game and is ok not perfect but definitely not garbage I know what I'm talking about. In terms of lack of strategy and you running like a headless chicken on the map get some friends to play with and you will get a strategy don't expect to play with other people who are not your friends and to know what you want to do therefore you sound like a undeveloped gamer to me.
Karak great review as always, just wanted to touch on your comment re: frame rate on console. Per digital foundry, outside of cutscenes the game is basically a locked 60. This is consistent with my experience, so I'm unsure of where issues come up. Just wanted to note this
I see hardly any hype or excitement for Infinite Warfare. I know that it's Call of Duty and that will always sell but I can't imagine it being the sales cannon it's been in past years.
I heard a knock on the original Titan fall was a lack of weapon variety. Has this issue been addressed or is it still a problem? Thanks in advanced for the reply and I appreciate the reviews.
I got bored with battlefield 1 so I got the digital for $19.99 and wow this game is so much faster paced and so much going on vs BF1. Now if I can figure everything thing out and get leveled up. Sucks being the new guy at base weapon packages.
XxDr.McnudesxX There is more freedom to do more stuff in MP and SP. With the mechanics like Grapple, Stim, Ping and others. It can make for interesting gameplay value, not to mention the maps allow you to play how you would like. Where CoD has the same maps that feel like it was never needed. CoD's "Advanced Movement" mechanics are not advanced at all. It feels more like a gimmick than anything. Overall? Titanfall crushes CoD with their movement mechanics. If anything, CoD copied from Titanfall after Treyarch/New Infinity Ward saw how popular Titanfall was for its mechanics.
Great review! I would just recommend you mention that all the map and weapon dlc are going to be free and that there are currently no micro transactions. I think it is important to point out the game studios that don't go the full greed route.
ACG seal of approval? My interest is piqued... Btw, I love how detailed your reviews are (almost no other reviewers mention sound at all and if they do it's mostly that "it's bad" or "could be better" while you do it thoroughly)
This game should have been delayed, first of all it is released WAAAAYYYYY too close to BF1, second of all, they would have more time to put more content into the game. Still one of my favourite games though. Definitely better than Call of Duty, that game got ruined ever since Black Ops came out.
Early reports said there were no ai bots for offline play. I saw in the video the little *AI on some screens. Can you comment on the ability to add AI players for offline or perhaps COOP play? Thanks.
You forgot to factor in that Titanfall 2 has free DLC, no season pass or Premium like the other 2 shooters.
no I didn't. I am reviewing the game right now. Not any bullshit later.
ACG Yes but you are telling us if we should buy it or not, and total price is a factor.

I'm buying the game, since its the closest thing to Halo. I never own a Xbox, I always wanted to play Halo. But hello Titan Fall 2 for Playstation 4.
@Unknown Entity
Bought it for PS4 yesterday after not really trying the first much and I'm loving it. You're making a good choice!
EvoG97 IM GONA DO IT :D see you on the battlefield
HallowedFlux probably almost dead by now
Relayzy1 still like 12-20 K on PS4
I still can't fathom why the hell Titanfall 2 is released so damn close to Battlefield 1. I had totally forgot about it because everything is just about BF1 at the moment.
I think EA is trying to crush COD by releasing both a small map shooter and a large war sim to take away from COD's sales
I seriously doubt they are trying to make cod go nasty. Is it really that hard to believe that they are just trying to make great games??
Because they expect it to flop and so set it up to do so.
Alexander Dinesen EA is trying to kill COD by releasing BF1 and TITANFALL 2 at the same time.
I swear I was the only person in the world that noticed this
Kind of disappointed that you breezed right over the campaign. There were so many creative aspects of it that you don't see in FPS games nowadays. Jesse Palmateer
I enjoyed the campaign a lot too.
Agreed, really the only FPS with platforming that not only did I not throw my controller but it actually enhanced the gameplay as well.
Jesse Palmateer the story was amazing, it’s just that they didn’t build on it. If they did, it would be near rdr2 level. The way they made you attach to BT is crazy, and I agree that the gameplay is amazing.
No DLC and no SEASON PASS that's a buy for me definitely. Great Job respawn I salute you.
Best part about this whole package deal is that all the new content in the future will be free. Respect for Respawn.
And within seconds I liked this video " no 2 minute reviews or filled with sponsored bullshit"
Clesarie Yeah same here
Mikee Remastered Adblock is kinda for shitheads imho no offense. Add revenue is how people make money which is how the afford to make the videos and bring you the content you want. I can suffer a 15 second ad to watch a video I want. I mean think of how much better it is than commercials on tv.

Mikee Remastered You're talking about 15 second ads here. You're being ridiculous.
The DLC is going to be free, so what you pay up front is all you pay. Unless EA tries to ruin that.
like pvz gw?or gta v?
Blake R. I'm pretty sure they're strictly cosmetic.
Yeah I believe they said something about micro transactions being cosmetic items which I much rather have over a $49 $39 or even $29 season pass
Blake R. It's gonna be microtransactions without any effect gameplay wise, so that's only camos, warpaints and nose arts.
EvoG97 The game is out now, there are. I micro transactions?
People saying it's another cod but COD basically stole titans fall 1 components to use in there game
Knightself #16DaGoat#KnightsKing Thank you so much for pointing this out. I just didn't have the patience to explain it to people.
Oh my god I totally agree and it really pisses me off.
employees who worked on cod left and made respawn, and somehow made it on the source engine. mind blowing actually
The COD wallrunning is shit by comparison
I love this channel. Every review is uploaded quick and super in depth.
Keep up the good work!
thanks spread the word
This game is sensational. For a sequel to improve in every way possible,
be so critically acclaimed, yet sell so poorly is a huge shame.
In my humble opinion, out of COD and BF1, this is definitely the game that I have found myself going back to the most. Is there an FOV adjust in the settings? Right now, it looks way too claustrophobic even when you are outside the Titan. I get the low FOV inside the Titan since it's supposed to be a giant robotic death tank but why the low FOV for normal FPS
On PC there is.
zEcToR 45 their is one on ps4 its called "Visual Range" for some stupid reason
Conaman yes there is. Go to settings - sound and screen. You can set the FOV from there
Free DLC pushed me to buy this even though I am enjoying BF1 quite a bit. Enjoyed the first Titanfall quite a bit too.
Great review as always, man you're the only one I can trust at this point now for reviews. Thorough and honest.
thanks man
+StplyZ Angry Joe does some awesome reviews WHEN he does review a game. They are pretty rare nowadays.
yeah his reviews are good aswell, but they are wayyyyyy too long, ACG's are small, concise and thorough enough to watch in 15 mins or so unlike joe's 30 min long, but i love both of them, each has its own charm
Yea every since he got into streaming and stuff his review output has really gone down. I'm happy Joe is successful but makes me sad because I member' the good old days
yeah Jack, same here aswell,
1 hour in SP, 1 hour in MP, and I can already tell TF2 is going to be my favorite game to date.
EA is not messing around this holiday season!
First, Battlefield 1 and now Titanfall 2. EA just hit a double whammy in the FPS genre. The release timing for BF1 and Titanfall 2 is a bit too short, but releasing them before Black Friday and Christmas? EA is going ham on the FPS market.
B Jiang
Yeah, that explains why they're so aggressive this year. Trying to deal a hard blow after the IW backslash, huh?
***** isn't it the publisher who determines what the release dates are?
Yeh, but I feel it's kind of unfortunate as a lot of people can't spend 120 on both BF1 AND Titanfall 2, which is a shame because I think they're both very good.
Storm Jones You mean respawn
Don't know why, but this review stands out from the others, and in a good way. One of my favorites, good stuff!
thanks
eluxsus0195684 ACG is amazing!
***** Yessir, his reviews are on point.
Arghhh I just wanted you to look up at the skybox! Titanfall 1 had amazing skyboxes filled with life, the best Ive seen in a game. I remember there was a map with dragons in the background and some would even land on the ground in the map and get killed. Is there similar atmosphere like that or have they realized it is all mostly fluff?
yep tf1 skybox's were amazing
+James Morris that's just you its been around for a loooong ass time
You're new then. Skybox's have been around since the invention of 3D games.
Skyboxes are an overlooked artform in video games.
CH Gorog horizon 3's skybox is fucking amazing
Very well done. Video is concise and to the point. No bullshit. I like this.
thanks bro
ACG Your reviews are so excellent I'll watch them on a games I have no interest in!
ACG seriously though, it takes like 8 days to get the info I want and half the time it's vague. This channel is a God send for me as you cover everything in a consistent manner. If I want music review, I can skip to the general area you do this in, and I can get it. Very well refined, and I hope to see more from ya :)
Kay Banyai Honestly, ACG has the best video game reviews. I think his subscriber count should be in the millions!
thanks
this game is beautiful. would definitely bang 10/10
havent felt any stuttering on pc
thats good!
Noah Horne I have sadly, on multi-player it's pretty ok, but on the campaign it's really bad.
don't worry hes a peasant
Karak please don't ever change how you do reviews. I go to every review site, and you are by far the best. Unbiased, thorough, and down right entertaining. Your alliteration and ability to turn a phrase is astounding. You're always going to get folks who complain, but I can tell you as a gamer in his 30s, you get it. Keep up the good work, love your channel.
Appreciate it sir thanks.
Don't know if you get tired of reading this, but your reviews are in a class of their own!
thanks so much V!
Have been playing Titanfall 2 for a week now. Let me tell you, you nailed the description on the controller. Have never seen better controllers on a game before, so effortless, so much precision. It felt natural. You don't get to appreciate how well there were made until you play other game.
ya its so smooth
Thanks for the good review, i think I'll pick this one up first and wait on BF1 for a sale.
You're an ass hat Fluff, they're different games, if this one is more up his alley it's no skin off your ass.
Matt B BF1 is a blast, highly recommended
+Kay Banyai (TheXionsMist) play Insurgency or Red Orchestra 2 then come to me about realistic games
Matt B imo bf1 is slightly overrated , I get serious lag at times and I play PC and Xbox , it's a good game but not 10/10 or 9/10 , for me a 8.5/10
One thing i don't like is the occasional switches to third person. It was so much better in the original where the game was always in first-person. Also, the original was pretty intense because it always had music playing in the background, which is something this sequel does not have.
Thank you oh bearded God, bless you always and forever. May you always bring these holy reviews to this desalinated wasteland we know as UA-cam
I am here for you brother.
The emprah is with you, brotha'
The Bruce Campbell dude u sound like a reverand
your reviews are atleast 100x more detailed and yet entertaining to watch than any others on youtube, thank you so much!
sup NaM! tHANKS MAN
Don't think this game will last long, but good on them that they don't sell this game with a season pass.
Nope you're wrong, this game will last way longer than you think
If bad company 2 still has players, then this will.
Free dlc and more content, this game will last
This game going full multiplat will help it quite a bit, especially with how big the Playstation audience is.
Great review! The amount of effort put into these videos is incredible. Love it, please continue!
thanks man
EA is out here for COD blood
Graeme Ireland BdobbinsFTW watcher?
graemeleoireland iiii
Is anyone else having the issue where the game won't save on PC? I played for an hour and when I quit, the game doesn't save and I have to start over again, and it keeps happening!
Wario loves this review
James Morris nah, wario is just greedy and the only times when he is the villain is when he is trying to mess up someone's sports events.
A Very Disappointed Red Engineer Actually the very first game Wario was in (Super Mario Land 2) he was the main antagonist. Therefore securing his spot in the villain HQ. Boom! knowledge.
Btw Awesome name.
MarlonGamingNation quit
Should have mentioned that beautiful second level with the simulation/home construction and how you need to navigate that in a way you wouldn't expect. That left me speechless.
i have never been so relieved to see a game review haha! i preordered it, and didnt know if i should pay the other 55 dollars, but after watching your review, i think i would like to!
And that is why you do not preorder.
Overlord Aeldarian your not obligated to buy the game if you preorder so there's nothing wrong with pre ordering when it comes to that issue
I wish they had more Pilot v Pilot modes, like an objective based one. The game plays so well, however sometimes the titans do just get in the way of a decent shoot out and I'm not always feeling it. Desperately holding back on getting infinite warfare..
Skyrim or TTF2 like I love Titan Fall But I'm worried if this Game is Gonna Last a Week and then die in 3 months like the first one
Spexs FT trust me it won't
Spexs FT It will die in a month. Nothing new, and still looks like COD. Respawn is a one trick pony. They might as well beg Activision for their jobs back. Infinite Warfare is a failure as well.
Joonas Happonen Nah... im dead ass serious. I said The 1st one wouldn't last a month and ppl said I was stupid. Boy did they feel dumb a week later.
Joonas Happonen Nope. I watched it. Its you removes mech you have Call Of Duty.
Joonas Happonen Yes. I inded know about Respawns Background. It also doesnt play 100 times better. Just has mechs. The COD BS is still there
I have BF1 and Titanfall 2 and honestly, who would dislike this game? I play this game much more. Visually? It's simply amazing, campaign is short but original, and the new Frontier mode is simply astounding. Also, the new Xbox One X update provides high end PC visuals...if one has not tried this game, it's a sweet game and at a bargain price.
Nice review. I have thoroughly enjoyed both Titanfall 2 and it's predecessor, but it's a damn shame it already lost it's second chance to be a major success because it got eclipsed by other games (like battlefield one, which 2 be fair is also good). Now all we can do is hope that the servers stay populated longer than the first game did.
thanks
Wow the only place to come for an honest review love your reviews dude.
Sup jason thanks!
Was blown away by this game. I only play single player. I cant wait for TF3
i saw robot jox as a 2 year old and always remembered the black and white robot fight. I just couldnt remember the name finally through tireless google searches and forum reading I discovered robot jox name once again as an adult. Thankyou for the reference to it!
FANTASTIC TITLE
Just downloaded and won my 1st. match!
As a fanplayer of the original game, I can definently recommend TitanFall2. Its actually better than the original, despite some of the bad old bad reviews.
Game has good FPS performance.
Good graphics options.
Smooth gameplay and good game mechanics.
Overall a huge improvement on the original.
And damn.. The singleplayer. It is actually pretty darn good!
Really disagree on the music. I'm in love with the new Titanfall 2 Main Theme. It produces this huge orchestral power that I haven't seen any similar shooters.
hmm interesting. Its in ever shooter...like ever. Its genre is generic technically
im still debating wether to get this,BF1, or skyrim :(
BF1. Do yourself a favor.
lalo 1245567899413 I feel ya. LOVED the bf1 beta.
lalo 1245567899413 i think tf2 seems more promising personally, if you wanna play the skyrim, then im pretty sure you can buy it for 15 dollars somewhere, the remastered graphics look really nice actually, but i dont know if i would wanna spend 60 dollars on practically the same thing
lalo 1245567899413 get Skyrim or Titan fall 2, bf1 is not worth $60.
Andrey Ivashin it sucks
I can see there being like a 12vs12 or a 16vs16 but there would have to be slightly larger maps or it would be titans waiting in line for a fight.
FareShott It's like that on the 8v8.
will there be a skyrim special edition review soon?
no sorry
ACG reason why?
It's the same game with prettier graphics and DLC. There's no point in wasting his time on it.
true
The time splitting made for one of the more fun campaigns I've ever played.
Great review as always. Love to see a review on battlefield 1 vs COD IW/R vs Titanfall 2..... certainly shut a few fan boys up. Personally think each one has something different to offer. Just wished I had more time to play them all.
thanks sir
Richard Newton Making a video like that wouldn't shut them up, it would make it worse.
Jump on it again after you pull the battery,. It takes 3 or 4 total rodeos, but you stuff grenades down the hole where the battery was and blow it up.
Color Bars Still, I liked it better when you could use the Spitfire with the jackhammer perk.
Robot Jox was my jam. Nice mention on the mech design - there's just enough Masamune Shirow imo.
The amount of alliteration you use in your reviews is a bit much, otherwise I love your content and thought-provoking reviews and have been subscribed for a couple weeks now. Keep doing what your doing!
huh?
ACG your telling me you don't repeat the starting letters of words on purpose? I notice it a lot. for example: peachy purple pumpkins. That's alliteration. what evs
damnit. The channel is spasing out. Anyway. You may think I write these or something. I don't. So just normal speech patterns. But I am absolutely sure some words will have the same letters.
and glad you like the videos!
ACG my bad. thanks for actually responding either way
cmon yall. lets be honest. this guy is the BEST reviewer out there!!!
n oh yeh
game looks cool too lol
Best reviewer on UA-cam right now. Keep it up man.
thanks Tommy
nice! doesn't make me regret getting the vanguard edition from amazon. now, just need it to arrive
Titanfall 2 won't have that problem, since it will release all of it's maps for free.
brokennoah dude I still play tf 1 daily
clayton shirey
What region and what platform? On PC there's virtually nobody playing on East and South East Asian server for a long time now. Sure, you'll get a few matches here and there but it's dead for all intents and purposes.
Arthur Wild Titanfall also suffered from lack of content there weren't many guns 3 Titans few maps etc
True, but Titanfall 2 also fixed that.
I bought this game after playing the tech test on PS4 almost entirely because of the excellence of the weapons. These are the same devs responsible for my favorite Call of Duty titles, and their weapon design has always been impeccable. Looking forward to getting my money's worth out of this game.
And, once again, great review.
Great review ACG. keep it up!
thanks
This game is a blast. I wanted a little more, but at the same time I don't blame them for playing it a little safe, you can only do what resources allow. That free dlc they announced is pretty awesome.
is there an option to have the embarking animation be in firs person
its got the ACG seal of approval now i just need the gritty details on network analysis from battlenonsense and i'll be ready to strap in.
enjoy
As an Xbox fanboy, I couldn't be any happier about ps4 players getting to enjoy this great franchise
question I thought you were going to bring up, did they fix the way points were earned in multiplayer? in the first game so much value was put into killing the stupid grunts.
hmm a bit maybe. BUt I did well never killing any
Great to hear that Titanfall 2 turned out better than the first game.
Derangel This year doesn't have as many holiday releases anyways, so I doubt it'll get "lost"
How quickly it died on PC? Um, there were still thousands of people playing it a year after it came out, if memory serves me correctly over 10 thousand people to be exact.
Thousands of people still play Quake which came out in the 1990s
California Dude
Not 10k+ more like 20-50 people. lol
Thats good man. Not noticing isn't a bad thing. Nothing wrong with that/
Will you review final fantasy 15?
will he review one of the most hyped games ever?
OLYMPICx22x this guy reviews everything
Luke Petersen think he would review my life choices then? XD
I will
dude... in Germany there's a saying: Du bist der Hammer!
They have a simple Pilot PVP mode, I believe, with no Titans.
Jay Ray there were plenty of people playing tf1 at first ..
Shelby- pit Doesn't make much of a difference when you have massive maps and only so few players in a match.
Jay Ray They have skirmish now with just pilots and titans so that may fix your problem.
Jay Ray most gamemodes don't have bots, only attrition and bountymode
i bought the vanguard edition so i can get the helmet.. best 400 bucks i ever spent.
You're fucking wild!
sir Reinhardt lol
sir Reinhardt same bro XD
I've been waiting for this review and you and Jeff Gerstmann have sold me on getting this game.
From the free maps/features and no season pass whatsoever to the point that I really liked Titanfall 1 (but it lacked weapons and content) so I'm really happy to hear about that.
I can't wait for my copy to arrive (yes I'm one of those strange PC gamers that sometimes gets PC physical retail for certain games) so thanks a lot for the review Karak!
thanks sir
Great review as always .
thanks
I'd prefer this on PC, since I'm mainly a PC gamer, but worried about player count long term - shall I get it on PS4 instead?
Cheers.
NorthWolfe another stalker..would be amazing. one of the finest fps games I have ever played!!
What is the name of the game shown in the "PC Reviews" link at the end of the video? 9:43
PS. Your channel is the first and only thing I've ever subscribed to on UA-cam. Great Work!
I would buy it, but I already have BF1 and dont really have the time to play two very immersive shooters at the same time.
ya I can see that
At least Titanfall 2 has a campaign and it doesn't come with any DLC nor a season pass.
You listed a ton of reasons why the game isn't so great...then go "absolutely buy it", after listing reasons not to.
weird. You are the only person to say that. In fact I keep getting your were too nice about it.
What do you mean?
Folks think I listed a ton of reason the game WAS great
Hmm. Strange, you started off good, but near the end you listed a bunch of things that weren't so great about it, then said buy it. So I was confused - defo felt like you were going to say wait for a sale.
Ya its odd. Might just be a one time thing for you hearing this particular counterpoint which I do in all videos. Not sure though.
Lol.
Hey ACG really enjoy your reviews :)
Thankx matt
Good review, ACG! I'm not as interested in online multiplayer games these days because of work and already having my particular online games in rotation (as well as being more interested in narrative driven experiences), but it's nice to see that Respawn Entertainment addressed criticisms of the last game and expanded what the series got right.
+CH Gorog thanks
i bought battlefield 1 over this and it was a huge mistake, battlefield 1 is garbage in my opinion, maps are lame and everyone just runs around like headless chickens with no teamwork and tactics, i refunded it so fast; may wait for titanfall 2 to drop in price im having a hard time trusting games right now
Stupid reason. If BF1 is ,,garbage'' of course is not perfect but definitely you got some problems.
its not garbage theres good things but definitely not 60 dollar good, and its definitely overrated, i played a few hours of it, its very mindless Adrian Popa you dont know what youre talking about
Grayson Guice well if you complain about the whole "chicken with your head cut off" gameplay then Titanfall isn't your thing either.
First of all you said is garbage now you said no it isn't and second thing I have the game and is ok not perfect but definitely not garbage I know what I'm talking about. In terms of lack of strategy and you running like a headless chicken on the map get some friends to play with and you will get a strategy don't expect to play with other people who are not your friends and to know what you want to do therefore you sound like a undeveloped gamer to me.
mad cuz bad
I just recently found this channel and it is a breath of fresh air. Keep up the great work man
thanks logan spread the word man!
I feel like single player was great and multiplayer is good but titan fall 1 had better mp
Karak great review as always, just wanted to touch on your comment re: frame rate on console. Per digital foundry, outside of cutscenes the game is basically a locked 60. This is consistent with my experience, so I'm unsure of where issues come up. Just wanted to note this
Not sure since tons are noting it. Then again its DF lol
I hope this and BF1 overshadow Infinite Warfare.
I see hardly any hype or excitement for Infinite Warfare. I know that it's Call of Duty and that will always sell but I can't imagine it being the sales cannon it's been in past years.
I am drowning in the hype lol. Its everywhere
I heard a knock on the original Titan fall was a lack of weapon variety. Has this issue been addressed or is it still a problem? Thanks in advanced for the reply and I appreciate the reviews.
trelumat4 there's at least 3 times more weapons this time, on top of more perks and weapon mods
Just wanted to say great review as always! thumbs up +1
thanks man
I got bored with battlefield 1 so I got the digital for $19.99 and wow this game is so much faster paced and so much going on vs BF1. Now if I can figure everything thing out and get leveled up. Sucks being the new guy at base weapon packages.
See the wall running and futuristic stuff is what bothers me. I feel like this is another CoD game with different developers.
First game did poorly and since it is CoD devs anyway I'm sure this will only last 3 months like the first.
XxDr.McnudesxX
There is more freedom to do more stuff in MP and SP.
I know respawn is ex CoD devs but they could've been original, Vergil.
Futuristic setting with robots really isn't original at all. it'll most likely die like the first game.
If it was so "original" and amazing then why did the first die completely? LMAOOOOOOOO
Great review! I would just recommend you mention that all the map and weapon dlc are going to be free and that there are currently no micro transactions. I think it is important to point out the game studios that don't go the full greed route.
If those come to fruition I would do a separate video. Right now its about what people are playing currently.
Nice review dude, I'm really impressed by both you and the game :)
thaks fox
ACG seal of approval? My interest is piqued...
Btw, I love how detailed your reviews are (almost no other reviewers mention sound at all and if they do it's mostly that "it's bad" or "could be better" while you do it thoroughly)
my thanks spread the word!
Thanks.
those are just the dudes that run around during normal battles
Awesome review as always. I'm not going to lie, I will be playing this while humming along to the soundtrack from Pacific Rim :)
enjoy rigged!
