Hi morgan i've been watching your videos for a while and i really want to have this healthy lifestyle and to tone up without restricting but i know that the second i'll stop tracking calories i'll gain weight and fat and i really don't want that. The only option would be working out twice as much as i eat or lifting and i can't do any of those. Do you have any tips?
Hi Hannah ❤️I don’t think when you stop tracking you’ll instantly gain weight, part of not tracking calories is trusting your body and your hunger. If anything you might feel more in tune with your body.. and feel more confident with your relationship with food and as a result, your body image ❤️ I know it’s scary, but the biggest thing is having a good relationship with food. Restricting yourself after “eating more than your calorie allowance” only does you more harm than good. I would recommend giving up tracking, and instead, focusing on feeling stronger with your workouts: slow down, build your strength with weights or body weight strength exercises (pilates), don’t focus on burning calories. If you still feel nervous, you could walk everyday to get daily movement in. Personally what worked for me: stopped counting calories, focusing on getting a good protein source, healthy fats, a whole grain carb (potato/rice/whole grain bread), making myself meals I was actually excited to eat (not force myself to eat “healthier” meals or salads. But instead make your favorite meals healthier by adding veggies / protein) walking everyday (aiming for average of 6000 steps but some days I don’t walk at all) and weight training 3x a week to give my muscle time to recover. I’ve found that growing muscle increases your metabolism, increases the amount of food / calories you NEED to sustain your health and body, and overall just makes you feel like a strong, capable baddie! This was a lot, but I hope it helped ❤️
