Did this pilgrimage back in 2018 and I legit had tears running down my face as I stood in the Tyrannosaur paddock and held my raptor action figure from childhood and took it all in. You are right, you go back to all the times you setup your room or back yard like JP when you were a kid and go back in time.
Wow, thanks for sharing your story… good to know I am not alone!! Yes, I used to love setting up my Command Compound, Big Rex and Jungle Explorer. Even tried to make a 6ft tall Rex out of paper mache when I was 10… was an absolute disaster but still, good memories:) Thanks for watching too, it makes me happy to know my story evokes similar memories in others 🦖🎥🦕
Pleased it evoked that emotion, I had a very similar reaction at the locations to be honest. Luckily I still have a strong imagination so I could transport myself right back to 93 :)
UPDATE: The dirt road to the gate is currently closed due to a bad flood we had 2 months ago. 13 inches of rain in 24hrs. Please be respectful when visiting my home, and have fun! Aloha and mahalo🤙🏼
Good info, it is incredible how frequently the weather conditions change at the foot of those mountains, such a stunning place all the same. I would suggest anyone who approaches this trail does so with caution and respect, not just for the land but the locals too. We met some great people who live close to the location. Thank you for watching and sharing that info :)
Same here. We had a $1 theater here back in the day and when it was family night out, I went every time! My family thought I was nuts wanting to see it that many times.
Just found this, wow, great video if you think you guys only had a rucksack and camera to carry and some of it looked hard work so the logistics of building that set in that location is mind boggling.
I know it is crazy how rough the terrain is on the way out to the location. It can be done in a 4x4 but I was not going to risk and was also very keen to hike it. I have a really good imagination so it was very easy to take myself back to 92 when they shot the film and put myself in their shoes... I bet it was a fun but challenging shoot. If you look back at the production photos you can see very little has changed in that time. Thank you for checking it out, pleased you enjoyed it :)
This was amazing! Do you think the cut idea of the dinosaur and raft was the same idea that was kept in the Sega Genesis video game? There was a raft and dinosaur level
I kind of treat Jurassic Park as a separate movie to any of the sequels. It was so groundbreaking and none of the visual effects were over used as they were in the sequels. Even 30 years later I feel it has aged better than the Jurassic World movies, that are less than 10 years old :) Thank you for watching
@ “We’re gonna make a fortune with this place” had to lol. But main goal is to share the experience not only of the Jurassic universe but also the truly amazing beauty of this island. You can feel the magic here. My first visit was December 2, 2022 and also first big vacation and first commercial flight. Fell in love immediately!!! Next morning the 3rd after only being here for 16 hours, I completely quit cigarettes cold turkey after smoking for 16 years. I did not want to mess up any of this island or the air. Now 2 years without smoking!! This place has saved my life literally!! I felt this is where I need to be and moved last July from Michigan with my mom. I currently do Uber and private tours and one of my favorites to do is the Ho’opi’i Falls hike with the amber mines location!! Actually taking a couple this Saturday that I’ve been taking around all week. I’ve already told lots of people about starting in the summer and lots have my number already. I’m manifesting it lol.
Allerton Gardens, Kauai... not clear today where the paddock was exactly but I think I have identified it. I cover this in a future episode, thank you for watching.
Thank you for sharing this experience with us 😊
It makes me happy to share my little location adventures, thank you for watching :) Scott

What a wonderful journey!! Astounding!💯🙂
Love the video although the hike looked like a bit of a bugger. Really interesting information, looking forward to the next instalment 🦖
Thank you, we have been enjoying your recent uploads from Florida too! :) ✈️

Thank you, it’s quite possible regarding the game. I also think it was the basis for the Jurassic Park Ride at Universal Studios
This is great 😎😀😀🦖🦖🦖😊
Thank you for watching, pleased you enjoyed it :) 🦕🦖🦕🦖🎥
This is awesome! Jurassic Park is my favourite film franchise, it’s such a shame how they went with the newer films!

You are lucky to have a girlfriend/wife (I'm guessing) to be willing to come along with you on your Jurassic adventure!
Wouldn’t be able to do any of it without her support in all honesty, she helps me believe in myself… very luck indeed. Thank you for watching 🦖🎥
I’m planning to start tours next summer and buy a couple jeeps. If it gets going huge business I might have to ask you to join the crew!
I would happily move to Kauai any day !!! Good luck with the business :)

Congratulations, you're very brave to go to an island infested with dinosaurs!
