Would love to see a short flight, start to finish, from getting the job to flying it in the game to ending it and getting payout. Great videos, thank you.
Awsome mate, I remember using FSE many years ago and forgot all about this. I think at the moment FSE and FS2020 will work very well together and be the go to virtual flying experience as we now have the ability to carryout VFR flying thanks to the detailed scenery.
Fantastic tutorial, thanks for sharing it! Got my account approved this morning (after four days of waiting), fired up the UA-cam and yours was the first video I've clicked on. Please do more!
I’ve only just discovered this yesterday and had msfs 2020 a week. Not sure how it all works but found your vid in a search so understand it a lot better kind of. Would like a totally noob vid explaining. Signing up, logging in, connecting it to msfs 2020 etc etc. Really excited to try this out
Kiwi Mace hi pal. Yeah I’ve watched them. Very helpful thanks. I think I’ve done the games world request right. Although mine doesn’t have a green star next to the phone symbol and there’s about 2 pages after me now that do and some have had there username reply etc. Hope I’ve done it right.
I've been playing Flight Simulator since 1998 and have never heard of FSEconomy for some bizarre reason. I'll have to check it out! One of my primary issues with Flight Simulators is I need a reason more than "fly around and see the sights" to fire them up. The newest FS is gorgeous, but I was waiting until a business simulator popped up before seriously playing it.
I'm very much the same as you, and I have been involved in flight simulation since 1984. It's going to be so nice to actually have a purpose for making a flight, and to actually be able to make virtual money.
I agree 100%. I have flown flight simulators since FS95... But it wasn't until I discovered VR flight in Flyinside (briefly) and X-plane... I was hooked! Now, with FS2020 promising VR support in 2021 (fingers tightly crossed) FSEconomy seems to add the real-world game portion I crave from a flight simulator. I can't wait to try this. I suppose you could couple it with Vatsim for the ultimate realistic experience.
I am the same way. Once I learn all the controls and get familiar with the aircraft it starts getting a little "samey". I cant believe I've never heard of FSE it is exactly what I am wanting. I just wish MSFS2020 would integrate something like this or a career type deal. I also don't understand all the hate from the "purists" for a career mode or economy in the sim. There is so much potential. Courier jobs, working for airlines, private piloting, hell even crop dusting.
Wow this is wicked and looks fun and adds reasons to play flight sims other than to just fly, much like a VTC for ETS etc. Would like to see more of this and maybe a series of flights where you do these jobs and show the company or your progression.
I love FSE. Opens up a new level to flight simulator. I bought a XCub (can only carry 1 passenger so not fast money maker) and I am RP a flight across the US with it paying for tie downs and camping spots along the way. Just fyi there is a section in airport page that allows you to pay for things like oil and tie downs. Does nothing really but if you like roleplaying you will love it.
Yeah that's the great thing about FSE, you can play it anyway you like. I reckon that's a great approach you are taking, avoids getting burnt out chasing dollars. Thanks for watching :)
Really appreciate this. I was rather confused from reading the guide and not yet having my world account active (caught in the massive swarm of new users of MSFS) so can't experiment myself. Please continue doing this sort of thing, and perhaps give some advice on the sorts of things new players should and shouldn't do.
guide helped alot after finding this mod......found another one but the guy mumbled for 30mins this right to the point thanks champ also joined your ARD :D
They're having DNS issues with their provider - To fix this, you need to open CMD as Administrator and enter: echo 144.76.108.35 server.fseconomy.net www.fseconomy.net fseconomy.net >> %WINDIR%\System32\Drivers\Etc\Hosts This will write to your hosts file so that windows can index the IP and find the hostname entry manually. Allowing you to connect!
Holy cow! Invaluable info... My FE SimConnect would not connect and it it wasn't for your showing that the port should be set to 500, I'd still be on the ground! For some reason my setup was set to port 6700??? Fixed it and voila, connected. Thanks for getting me started in FSE. Made nearly $1400 on my first flight, flying a patient 63 miles north!
Hi Kiwi Mace from Sydney Australia!. Just stumbled onto your channel (subbed) and the whole FSE world. Great video and explanation. I of course immediately raced off and registered. Once I am registered and familiar with the FSE i'd love to hook up with your ARD Air!.. All the best and keep up the great videos.
Hey mate, thanks for your support. No problem joining ARD Air, just request a membership once you have a Game World account (you can do it on the site)
Just a quick comment. You do not need to have the parking brake engaged to "Start Flight". In fact, if you forget to start the flight, you can even press Start Flight in the air after you have taken off. As long as you are closer to the FSE Departure Airport than to any other airport, this will work. Sometimes, you come across a large wheeled aircraft in FSE that is at a "lake" airport. You can depart in your simulator at some other airport, nearby, or a long ways away, fly to where that Sea Plane Base is located, and while you are in the air over the SPB at 25,000 feet, you can "start flight" and it will still work.
Hey mate, FS Economy is quite different. It's a bit more basic than Air Hauler, with more of a focus on flying although it does have more of a MP/community feel. However, it's free so there is nothing to lose in trying it out and seeing if it might be your cup of tea.
Thanks for this. I am extremely interested in giving this a shot. But I don't understand... Did the F's get client not specify that you DID have a GPS installed? Ref: 14:40
Yeah I think that may be a bug because I definitely couldn't use the GPS during the flight (I could see the track on the panel but couldn't set GPS and follow it)
@@KiwiMace Either way... great video. I signed up to the community page. Can't quite figure out how to sign up for the actual game though. Still working through it.
Thanks for this. Looking forward to the more advanced tutorials. Would be nice to know beyond the first flight what you should really be focusing on, whether saving up enough money to buy a Cesna 172, should you rent it out once you purchase it etc.
Hi, thanks for watching. In terms of what you should focus on, it's really a broad question and comes down to personal choice. The Cessna 172 is a somewhat affordable plane but because it only carries 3 passengers you don't earn huge income whereas something like the C208 can carry 13 passengers, makes a decent amount of money, but costs a lot more. Some players never buy aircraft and just like the flexibility of flying a wide range of aircraft. The advantage of owning your own aircraft is you always have an aircraft available to fly but you do have pay a monthly fee and pay for repairs. At the end of the day my recommendation is to do what is fun as you can get trapped in a big grind trying to earn virtual $ and end up getting burnt out.
When I played in XPlane, I never bought a 172, I saved up until I could get a C207 which was not that much more expensive than the 172 but let me carry 5 passengers. Unfortunately we don't have that in this sim, so I guess I will have to save up for the C208 even though it is much more expensive.
Thanks for doing this! couldn't find a good modern tutorial! Please do another advanced tutorial if you have time. Could you talk about OnAir, too? Not sure what the differences/benefits really are.
No need for that. This is a pure simulator and gamifying it starts leading priorities in the wrong direction. This is a simulator at its core and a platform for others to create on.
Thanks for watching :) Yeah there's an issue at the moment. @@KiwiMace The issue is I haven't gotten anything installed yet :( so I need to login and get everything setup. unless that fix will resolve the issue of me being able to get onto the website?
IS FS Economy free? I really like the look of OnAir but after buying the Premium Deluxe version of MFS I'm not crazy about spending more money right now.
@Vanargand you have to pay Money for it. Anything you have to pay for is going to be better.. .. geez :) In all seriousness, try it out, you get a free week.
@Vanargand better interface, design, missions, tracking, can track real scoring among players, will dock percentage points for not doing things (start up/ flying/landing/comms) correctly. If you want to really simulate the experience, this is a much better platform. Moderators are nice and continue to work on the system daily.
It depends on what your looking for. I love both of the apps listed below but they are both very different in their own way. Free = FSEconomy Subscription = OnAir Company Manager
I haven't played in a while, but I seem to remember that if you load the flight plan into the sim, even if you can't use the gps with your auto pilot if the plane doesn't have gps, the track still shows up and you can follow it manually to help navigate.
cool I'll have to check this out. the sim is awesome but it's ultimately pointless just flying from point A-B sightseeing. this will give it a sense of accomplishment. cheers for the info
Thanks for the guide! What is your experience when the client is connected? I get significant performance issues (drop in FPS and lots of micro-stutters) when my VA's client is connected to MSFS. They say it's an issue with SimConnect in MSFS that, hopefully, will be fixed in the future. Do you get the same?
Hey Marconi, the MSFS development team have just announced the upcoming patch will address this issue: www.flightsimulator.com/august-27th-2020-development-update/
I have a question? So if you're just starting out you're a new pilot, you don't have any money at all... How do you begin to rent a plane and to take a flight? If you have no money or do they start you with a certain amount of money? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question
Question: Do you have to start in parking and manually turn on the plane and taxi to the runway for the client to acknowledge your flight or can you spawn on the runway with the engine ready to go with the parking brake on for it to work?
Hi Pat, you can spawn on the runway with the engine running. In fact I've just discovered you don't need to start with the parking brake enabled (but you do need to pull it on at your destination for the flight to register)
Thanks for making this, but one key piece was missed :( How do you setup the sim before you get to the aircraft/airport? Do you just select the plane and airport and start? Only piece missing :)
Hi John, thanks for watching. Yes sorry good point, you just set up the aircraft and flight plan as normal and select Fly Now. Once you are loaded into the sim you can then start the client.
You broke FSEconomy. XD When I went to their site, I was greeted by this: NOTICE: Due to technical issues, new user registrations are temporarily disabled. Expect several days to address the issue. (Posted 29 Aug)
Ok I’m all up and running yeah. Just setting up a flight and I’ve followed your directions found a list of airports with the 208 caravan and has one but the home base is not the same as the departure airport. Can I use this or not? Or do I have to fly it to the departure airport etc Cheers bud
Kiwi Mace one other thing. How do you add fuel if low in the game world site? I have just over the gallons per hour so hoping I make it as nearly in the red 😳
Kiwi Mace hey pal. I just set up a flight and planed all waypoints etc and clicked start flight but have no passengers on the flight tab in sim connect On the fse my flight page it says selected on the status not departing. It’s got enough fuel and 8 passengers (5 assignments) in the c208 so have the room
Kiwi Mace hey pal. Just wanted some advice again as struggle on the forums. My sim connect client won’t connect to the game. I tried restarted game then everything including the pc but still no joy. Is anyone else having this trouble?
is there any way to to multi-leg trips? eg from A, load up passengers that want to go to B & C. Fly to B and drop off, then fly to C? seems like when I land at B the FS Economy window says I have no plane available so I have to go back and start over.
Yes you can do multi-leg trips but up front, you add the jobs for all the legs you intend to fly. They will then sit in your "My Flight" page, in the loading area until you depart the airport they are currently located at. The reason you got that message is because you hadn't added all the jobs so when the first job was completed, the rental expired on your aircraft as there was nothing in the loading area. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for the tutorial. The FSEconomy website suggests that you need to add passengers and cargo to the aircraft manually. Fuel is added automatically. Did you do that or is that optional?

Do you guys know why i only have the skyhawk g1000 and not the normal one , yesterday I launched mfs and di only had the g1000 ( I bought the deluxe edition with the g1000 and the normal one )
Hey, it really comes down to personal preference. Both have their pros and cons. OnAir is a subscription and FSE is free which is a key point for some people.
Hi KM... I'm finding making an account confusing! Can I join now, then wait for my account to be activated? Or wait till FSE has caught up with the backlog, then join? I can't seem to find the account form! Could you send me a link to the registration page... Thanks... Frank...
Hi Richard, They are quite different in many ways. Air Hauler is probably more in depth and has a range of difficulty settings. FSE requires you to fly a lot to be able to afford FBOs & Aircraft. It comes down to personal preference really
With FSE does it still count even if you don't use the coms? For the lamding permission and all that stuff? Because i'm new to MSFS and am atill learning
im having trouble with the client. I have both connected at the bottom but the aircraft info is green on plane but red on airport and cant start flight. am i doing something wrong?

As for the other thing it turned out I was on the wrong site and logged in ok but still , was disappointed with the customer service and rudeness
@@KiwiMace Hello mate, thanks for the reply. I mean I have the game setup so that the copilot does absolutely everything from takeoff to landing. FSE requires you unset the parking brake as part of the procedure of logging your flight. I want to make sure the co-pilot does this as when I hit the Ready To Fly button the plane starts taking off immediately. I'm assuming I should hit the Start Flight option within the FSE client right before I hit the Ready to Fly button within the sim itself. Hopefully that makes sense! Cheers!

Wow, what was that 3 mile Caravan flight that you made 5k off? Crazy!
IS FS Economy free? I really like the look of OnAir but after buying the Premium Deluxe version of MFS I'm not crazy about spending more money right now.
Yes it's completely free Mark :)
OnAir is much much better in many ways.
@Vanargand you have to pay Money for it. Anything you have to pay for is going to be better.. .. geez :)
In all seriousness, try it out, you get a free week.
@Vanargand better interface, design, missions, tracking, can track real scoring among players, will dock percentage points for not doing things (start up/ flying/landing/comms) correctly. If you want to really simulate the experience, this is a much better platform. Moderators are nice and continue to work on the system daily.
Great video but I would appreciate it if you would enable the quality for the video it made it very difficult to see the video
Awesome Video, Kiwi! Finally i made it in. 4 hrs ago i got my account. 🛩😊
Nice! Thanks for watching
@@KiwiMace yesterday i joined ur group also..lets fly together someday^^
Awesome - sounds good!
Thanks for this video.
Really informative and helpful.

It depends on what your looking for. I love both of the apps listed below but they are both very different in their own way.
Free = FSEconomy
Subscription = OnAir Company Manager
Yep totally agree
I haven't played in a while, but I seem to remember that if you load the flight plan into the sim, even if you can't use the gps with your auto pilot if the plane doesn't have gps, the track still shows up and you can follow it manually to help navigate.
Yes that's right Jim
cool I'll have to check this out.
the sim is awesome but it's ultimately pointless just flying from point A-B sightseeing.
this will give it a sense of accomplishment.
cheers for the info
Thanks for watching :)
Good video! Just subbed. I hope you do a more in-depth version soon!!!
Yep it's coming in the next few days. Thanks for your support :)
Great stuff. Keep up the good content. Greetings from El Paso Texas 🤗
Thanks Rocky, welcome to the channel :)
did you have to set the cargo for passengers
No, it is all done automatically for you
Thanks for the guide! What is your experience when the client is connected? I get significant performance issues (drop in FPS and lots of micro-stutters) when my VA's client is connected to MSFS. They say it's an issue with SimConnect in MSFS that, hopefully, will be fixed in the future. Do you get the same?
Hi, no I haven't experienced those issues personally sorry
Hey Marconi, the MSFS development team have just announced the upcoming patch will address this issue: www.flightsimulator.com/august-27th-2020-development-update/
Great news! Thanks a lot for the heads up!
I have a question? So if you're just starting out you're a new pilot, you don't have any money at all... How do you begin to rent a plane and to take a flight? If you have no money or do they start you with a certain amount of money? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question
Hey, the cost of the rental isn't taken out until after the flight (it's taken from the income you earn from the flight)
Yes please more advanced video's!
Nice to see a fellow kiwi playing this game! woop!
even thought im pretty sure your actually Australian living in nz hmmm
I was going to post a nice comment until you said that lol!! Definitely a Kiwi!!
Oh good haha 😂😂❤️
Hey! Thanks for the video! FSeconomy or OnAir Manager? :) Cheers
Hey, it comes down to personal preference. I'm not an expert in On Air but it is probably a little more complex than FSE.
I’ve created my fse communities account. But finding the next bit a tad confusing. I click on the forums tab but not sure where to go from there.
Hey Jaystation, See your other comments, I have put some instructions in there - good luck :)
Kiwi Mace yeah I’ve seen pal. Thanks for your help. Defo got a new subscriber now. Great channel my friend
What sort of assists are allowed ?Im still learning everything.
Hi Cully, I'm not sure what you mean by assists but you can use time acceleration 16x for faster flights.
Kiwi Mace They probably mean things that prevent failure states. Engine failure and the like.
@@KiwiMace Hi i mean stuff like waypoints in the world, landing pattern etc
Great guide, thanks for uploading
Appreciate you taking the time to comment. :)
@@KiwiMace awesome, thanks for the reply!
Kiwi Mace all good my friend. That helps thanks again for the videos!
You broke FSEconomy. XD When I went to their site, I was greeted by this:
NOTICE: Due to technical issues, new user registrations are temporarily disabled. Expect several days to address the issue. (Posted 29 Aug)
Haha yeah there have literally been thousands of applications!
@@KiwiMace ...and apparently "several days" has now expanded to four days. I guess they weren't ready for a sudden surge in interest.

Ok I’m all up and running yeah. Just setting up a flight and I’ve followed your directions found a list of airports with the 208 caravan and has one but the home base is not the same as the departure airport. Can I use this or not? Or do I have to fly it to the departure airport etc
Cheers bud
Hey, it doesn't have to be at it's home base. It just has to be at airport it is departing from.
Kiwi Mace cool bud thank you. Just about to do my first job
Kiwi Mace one other thing. How do you add fuel if low in the game world site? I have just over the gallons per hour so hoping I make it as nearly in the red 😳
Kiwi Mace hey pal. I just set up a flight and planed all waypoints etc and clicked start flight but have no passengers on the flight tab in sim connect
On the fse my flight page it says selected on the status not departing.
Great video - subscribed!
is there any way to to multi-leg trips? eg from A, load up passengers that want to go to B & C.
Kiwi Mace thanks. I added them all to my flight - should i not load them until I land at the first location? I may need to experiment
hmmm. That's strange, defnitely should have been okay.
Thanks for the tutorial.
The FSEconomy website suggests that you need to add passengers and cargo to the aircraft manually. Fuel is added automatically. Did you do that or is that optional?
Fuel needs to be added manually (if required). You do that through the My Flight page once you have rented the aircraft.
u dont need parking brake to start, you can be half way down the runway and start
Too bad they temporarily suspended user registration.. Found this today while watching a stream. Can't even use it..
Same :/ still down
Very helpful. Thanks!
Thanks for watching :)
I am a subscriber now, more videos!
Thanks for the support Adam :)
Is FSE still around? Their webiste hasn't been up in the last week I have checked it. Been showing up as website unreachable.
Yeah there's an issue at the moment. FSE Facebook page explains the fix:
If you are having trouble connecting to the FSE site or game world, edit your Hosts file (located in c:\windows\System32\drivers\etc in Windows 10) to include this line:
144.76.108.35 server.fseconomy.net www.fseconomy.net fseconomy.net
If you're using another OS, try googling "host entry " to find out how to add the line to the file on your system.
(Currently, there's an administrative issue with the domain fseconomy.net. The server is running, this ^ workaround will tell your browser and FSE client how to connect to it in spite of the problem.)
for me the www.fseconomy.net/ site shows "The website is not available" :(

Hello, lovely video I am new into this FSEconomy stuff, wanted to ask you if there is a way that me and my friend can make business together? and fly under one airline, thanks
Hi Python, Yes you can create a group and you can build a business together that way. I'll cover it off in future videos
@@KiwiMace Thats great, thanks! Even though I cant get it to work, cant log into the server.fseconomy.net, it wants password, but if I use the one I registered with, it says wrong password and when I press that i forgot password, it says no account exist with that email, even though I have it activated, do you know how could I solve it? thanks,

is there any career mode arouind that integrate crypto tokens?

Hey so i got a problem after watching your video i got all excited to try the fseconomy out but however its not working when i go on to the links or the website whats going on with it do u know??
I can't get MSFS to connect to the client with simconnect, any ideas?
Thank you!!!

Is your FSE Client tutorial for FS2020?
Hi Chris, yes it is. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/d9qu6LvP-ek/v-deo.html
Kiwi Mace thanks for that. Was a very long time member of FSE but stopped when I migrated to XP. Now that I’m back in the MSFS world I am looking forward to renewing my involvement. Thanks for the link. Now waiting for the account for the game world. Cheers
Nice! With the amazing scenery the General Aviation focus of FSE will definitely see a ton of people coming back / joining
Kiwi Mace definitely. I have started my sixth Around the World flight in my trusty C172 so hoping that I will find one in Western Australia in FSE TO continue my journey.
how come ive never heard of this! FSE and vatsim need to get together! that would be awsome!.... ATC could even see what AF's have the most trafic expected and fill those first
You can definitely use VATSIM while conducting FSE flights, thanks for watching :)
If you already have an XPlane account do you need to start a new account?
Hi Jim, no you only need 1 account. You will need to use the X-Plane client though.
@@KiwiMace The X-Plane client while using the MSFS??
FSE account is not linked to a specific simulator. You can use it with FS9, FSX, P3D, X-Plane, MSFS .. each simulator having its own FSE client.
@@vladyitube thanks
So I know this is a year old. But I started playing this on the old Gen xbox with Cloud gaming and it is triple A now a days. I would pay for this. But i can't 😐. But on PC do they use mods like GTA Five M ? Make a full RP world like " I have Amazon packages going to The UK" ?
Hey Zack, there's nothing that replicates Five M or the likes but their are plenty of career addons that allow you to replicate a pilot's career.
Thanks, a very useful video. +1 subscription to both your channel and FSEconomy.
Thanks for the support :)
Hey, mate...have you found any of the other aircraft from MSFS 2020 in FSE list. I couldn't find the Citation to match in the list. Any idea?
hmm..how comes cessna 172 skyhawk looks different in my game?
Do you guys know why i only have the skyhawk g1000 and not the normal one , yesterday I launched mfs and di only had the g1000 ( I bought the deluxe edition with the g1000 and the normal one )
It says "Error
You are not authorized to view this page" What do I do now?
Why should I use this instead of OnAir?
Hey, it really comes down to personal preference. Both have their pros and cons. OnAir is a subscription and FSE is free which is a key point for some people.
Hi KM...
I'm finding making an account confusing!
Can I join now, then wait for my account to be activated?
Or wait till FSE has caught up with the backlog, then join?
I can't seem to find the account form!
Could you send me a link to the registration page...
Thanks...
Frank...
Is this like airhauler2?
Hi Richard, They are quite different in many ways. Air Hauler is probably more in depth and has a range of difficulty settings. FSE requires you to fly a lot to be able to afford FBOs & Aircraft. It comes down to personal preference really
With FSE does it still count even if you don't use the coms? For the lamding permission and all that stuff? Because i'm new to MSFS and am atill learning
I can't find Airport?
I'm totaly new to flight sims. Are there any other noobie friendly things like this?
im having trouble with the client. I have both connected at the bottom but the aircraft info is green on plane but red on airport and cant start flight. am i doing something wrong?
Are you at the correct airport? The other thing to check for is that the aircraft you have selected is available at that airport (in FSE)
@@KiwiMace hey man. Thanks for the replies. I don’t know what I did but eventually it all came up right etc and set up my flight to go. Although 10 mins in the game froze and couldn’t even shut the game down so had to hold the power button on the pc. Real pain.
As for the other thing it turned out I was on the wrong site and logged in ok but still , was disappointed with the customer service and rudeness
Is it possible to play even if your copilot does all the flying for you?
Hi Rob, do you mean autopilot? If so, yes, autopilot is fine.
Cheers!
This is exactly what I want
The flight sim communities, best hidden secret.
Thanks for this. still waiting patiently for my game account to be created. Looks like they are having a few issues atm. Please do some more tutorials, thanks for the vid :)
But you didn't say how you rent your first plane, since you start with 0 Dollars!?!?
Hey , you don't get charged anything until your flight is completed - you would also earn income from the job you have just completed therefore will have $ to cover rental. Check out the manual, all explained in there
@@KiwiMace Thanks!
It says ''Your not authorised to view this page'' when i click the link to the sign up page, any ideas why?
Hey I think registrations are down for the moment
Is it only multiplayer? I play exclusively offline but with live traffic for immersion/realism
You do need to be online because the client needs to communicate with the FSE server, but you don't need to play with other players
@@KiwiMace Okay awesome, yeah I'm connected to internet for the live data, I just like turning off other plays lol. Thank you for the speedy reply :)
It says I'm not authorised to view the link you put in the description to sign up...it says I need to be logged in first...is it serious? How do I login before signing up lol...
I think new registrations are down for the moment
