I messaged Purpleeagle & alerted the mod team. At 02:39 E25 gets up and has some sort of seizure. For the next 16 minutes, E25 had several seizures & difficult breathing and fell out of the nest at 02:55am. Words can not describe the sorrow at watching E25 suffer and die. Please say a prayer for M15 & F23 as they might be at risk too. 💔💔

They do. I agree. Animals aren’t robots as we know. They know when we are hurting, so it stands to reason they are emotional as well. I think of elephants too. Animals are so wonderful. This is so sad. ☹️

Eagles live a life of solitude unless it's mating season. E25 will be just fine. I thought E25 was going to fall out of the nest before E24 began to have a seizure. E25 went poo and literally almost fell over the edge

It was almost as if today was more than M15 could bear 💔 He just perched on the u branch 💔 It was definitely more than many of us could bear 💔 but I had to keep checking on the family very frequently and each time he was always still there 💔 I was so thankful he was able to come down to the nest this evening ❤️ & I'm sure precious E25 was too ❤ ...As I type this the sweetheart has finally just now laid down in the nest to sleep ❤ Thank you to Barb Henry ❤ & also to you alway dear Lady Hawk ❤ 🫂

I know I am crying a lot, as I used to be an Animal Control officer but this has been a very emotional experience. I am falling apart. I will never be the same person. I loved these guys. I hope Mom and Dad can be parents, again.
My heart breaks with this Eagle community and especially for the videographers who have spent vast amounts of their lifetime showcasing these grand birds. Showing us these last moments is a task so daunting. You all have the same great courage and steadfastness as M15 and F23. I have come to believe they are far more sentient beings than are generally recognized. The physical signs of their grief are all there. We might not get inside their heads, but we know them to have great and noble hearts.

Prayers to both F 23 and M 15 I haven’t stopped crying for the loss of E 24 and now I cry again for E 25. Lady Hawk. OMGosh. It’s Tuesday Jan 28th. I thought I would look in on our sweet E25 eaglet. The chirping and chattering was so utterly devastating and sad. And at 3am Tues my heart is totally and completely broken. Both our little ones. 😢🙏 God Bless.

1:25 live cam 1/28/25 and E25 has been gingerly wondering around the nest in the dark and l have zero doubt it’s in search of E24 to snuggle up to. Getting very close to the rails. Now … This was a hard video to watch. F23 looking down as though she knew something was wrong yet waiting for E24 to wake up. E25 looks lost but doesn’t understand. The younger sibling yet being the protector so to speak. Who knows what goes on in their minds. It just all so devastating 💔💔💔 Beautiful to see the memorial and l am sure it will grow. Sigh 😔 Added comment: l truly thought E25 was missing E24 and wandering about the nest looking for him. Then l saw the seizure and realized what was really going on. 💔💔💔

What a tragedy. This hurts a lot because these 2 lil eaglet siblings were really close. There was hardly any bonking, no food drama, it was peaceful and so nice and refreshing to see only to have this happen is truly sad. I have no doubt that they all mourned. This was not the typical everyday nest we’ve seen. It’s almost like the parents knew and mourned and didn’t go down for a long time. Way longer than usual. I just hope it wasn’t poison and the rest didn’t consume it. 😢

I want to remember E24 sitting up in the nest with his/her clown feet sticking straight out, sharing sweet beakie kisses with E25. I'm thankful for the timestamp you provided that let me go directly to the beautiful memorial. Such a heartfelt and well deserved tribute to our precious little E24. In times like this, I think of the famous Dr Seuss quote: "Don't cry because it's over ~ smile because it happened."
Oh God, no. What a horribly tragic season. I hope for everyone's peace of mind, we can get some answers on what condition these eaglets may have suffered from. I'm still mourning Harriet to be honest. This season may be my last after all these years. Nature can be so cruel.

E25 fell off the nest at 2:54 a.m. after exhibiting the same behavior as E24. The most tragic sight. So much suffering. Oh, God, this is heartbreaking.

People take away the corpse as knowing the reason for death helps them grieve. This eagle family deserves to grieve as nature intends - with their lost eagle present to observe 😢
I’m convinced the parents knew E24 was sick. They were like sentinels all night on the upper branch. E25 clearly knew it too. E25 tried to stay by its siblings side and laid next to it after death. They realize in their own eagle “thinking” one of them is gone but for the body. It is a somber display today after what they witnessed. Almost spiritual like. And we who love this family mourn too for sweet E24. It has been a sad day for so many of us. Soar high E24. We will not forget you. 🦅🌈

Lil E25 touching his sibling gently and laying back down beside him. M15 has felt this before and F23 is exceptionally quiet too both just glancing down at their Eaglets. The Eaglet E24 who was born first. CROW retrieved his body from the Nest ltr in the day.They will do a Necropsy and hopefully we can find out how the lil one died. Hope this helps.

My heart is truly broken. E24 and E25 seemed to me to be the closest of all the babies ever at the nest. They stayed together most all the time and never left each others side even in death. That was so heartbreaking to see E25 lying beside E24 after the eaglet passed away. E25 had no one there with him/her when the end came sad to say and fell off the nest. My heart stopped and hurt to see that happen. I hope and pray CROW will find out what happened and it will not be bird flu or we could lose both M15 and F23 and I sure pray not. I just wonder what little E24 was thinking because he/she kept checking on E24. God Bless E24 and E25 and protect M15 and F23 please,
It's just horrible. After the death of E24, E25 fell out of the nest last night shortly before 3 o'clock, the poor thing seemed to be in a bad way. A tragedy this season
Both eaglets seemed to be doing great, getting plenty of food, great parenting and hardly any bonking,, it’s tragic and heartbreaking,, perhaps we get too emotionally attached but it’s the love of these creatures that becomes part of our lives, just hope mum and dad are ok
This family knows grief! They are try to call them. Has anyine noticed if Owl family is okay? I hope this horrible passing was not caused by humans. This makes me feel horrible for M, this is a lot for him. 3 years of loss God bless them and ease their pain ❤❤

Oh no . I cant take this anymore ! My heart !! 💔💔💔 just checked nest and he was gone . I knew for reason this was coming. I havnt felt this sick in a long time. And i cannot go back and watch. I would say it was definately poison. Time to get a ban on that garbage. What will it take ???
What a tragedy. This hurts a lot because these 2 lil eaglet siblings were really close. There was hardly any bonking, no food drama, it was peaceful and so nice and refreshing to see only to have this happen is truly sad. I have no doubt that they all mourned. This was not the typical everyday nest we’ve seen. It’s almost like the parents knew and mourned and didn’t go down for a long time. Way longer than usual. I just hope it wasn’t poison and the rest didn’t consume it. 😢
The same just happened to E25. He fell out after having seizures. 😭

When I watched off and on yesterday I noticed his? little head twitching and was praying it was something else and when he had a good feeding I was more hopeful. Thank you for reminding me of our wonderful photographers who are at the nest - Barb Henry, MLiz, Wskers-N-Wings, and all who our eyes on the ground - sending love and comfort to them as well. I want to remember E24 sitting up in the nest with his/her clown feet sticking straight out, sharing sweet beakie kisses with E25. I'm thankful for the timestamp you provided that let me go directly to the beautiful memorial. Such a heartfelt and well deserved tribute to our precious little E24. In times like this, I think of the famous Dr Seuss quote: "Don't cry because it's over ~ smile because it happened."
Oh God, no. What a horribly tragic season. I hope for everyone's peace of mind, we can get some answers on what condition these eaglets may have suffered from. I'm still mourning Harriet to be honest. This season may be my last after all these years. Nature can be so cruel.

E25 fell off the nest at 2:54 a.m. after exhibiting the same behavior as E24. The most tragic sight. So much suffering. Oh, God, this is heartbreaking.

People take away the corpse as knowing the reason for death helps them grieve.
This eagle family deserves to grieve as nature intends - with their lost eagle present to observe 😢
The possibility of the problem being poisoning, possibly a rodenticide, made the better choice to remove the corpse to prevent any further poisoning.

I’m convinced the parents knew E24 was sick. They were like sentinels all night on the upper branch. E25 clearly knew it too. E25 tried to stay by its siblings side and laid next to it after death. They realize in their own eagle “thinking” one of them is gone but for the body. It is a somber display today after what they witnessed. Almost spiritual like.
And we who love this family mourn too for sweet E24. It has been a sad day for so many of us. Soar high E24. We will not forget you. 🦅🌈
I think you're wrong. E25 Probably knew something was going on with E24, but parents nope.

The Eaglet E24 who was born first. CROW retrieved his body from the Nest ltr in the day.They will do a Necropsy and hopefully we can find out how the lil one died. Hope this helps.

My heart is truly broken. E24 and E25 seemed to me to be the closest of all the babies ever at the nest. They stayed together most all the time and never left each others side even in death. That was so heartbreaking to see E25 lying beside E24 after the eaglet passed away. E25 had no one there with him/her when the end came sad to say and fell off the nest. My heart stopped and hurt to see that happen. I hope and pray CROW will find out what happened and it will not be bird flu or we could lose both M15 and F23 and I sure pray not. I just wonder what little E24 was thinking because he/she kept checking on E24. God Bless E24 and E25 and protect M15 and F23 please,

Both eaglets seemed to be doing great, getting plenty of food, great parenting and hardly any bonking,, it’s tragic and heartbreaking,, perhaps we get too emotionally attached but it’s the love of these creatures that becomes part of our lives, just hope mum and dad are ok

This family knows grief! They are try to call them. Has anyine noticed if Owl family is okay? I hope this horrible passing was not caused by humans. This makes me feel horrible for M, this is a lot for him. 3 years of loss
