- My Husky HATES My Mum Having a Mobile Phone! So Key has a weird aversion to my mum having a mobile phone, he doesn't even like her having it in her hand, we have no idea why. It was my old phone, which he was fine with when I had it, he's perfectly happy for other people to have phones, just not my mum. I'm going to try changing her messenger sound and see if that helps although he's fine when my phone makes that exact same sound. And it doesn't need to make any sound for Key to need me to cuddle him.

To clarify: The sound doesn't hurt his ears, his favourite toys are the loudest, squeakiest, annoying toys, he loves them! It also isn't just the sound that makes him react this way, as you can see at the end of the video, he doesn't even like her holding the phone without making a sound. There's been nothing to cause this reaction. The phone used to belong to me and my current phone also makes the exact same sound and he doesn't react. Key is just a strange boy that thinks my mum isn't allowed to have a mobile phone 😂Since filming these clips I have changed the text tone on her phone to see if I can change his association with it.
I have the bike horn as my text tone and my cat runs out of the room lol!

I wonder if that “ping” sound has some high frequencies in it that we can’t hear but Key can and that’s what is distressing him.
Jodie has explained it in the chat above. Key just dislike jodie's mum to have the phone. That phoned used to be jodie's. Also jodie's current phone has the exact same ping but key doesn't react to it.
My phone makes the same sound and he doesn't react, he also loves high pitched sounds, those make the best toys! It's just some strange connection he's made, I'm working on helping him past it.
