This is why it was such short sightedness to let Toulouse get dropped from auper league after just 1 season being promoted. France cant develop any international depth with just 1 team in super league. Thankfully new IMG system got voted in, but sadly it'll be way too late to make france competitive in 2025 League Wac France is hosting

An international in league doesn't even come close to the level of entertainment in the champions cup semis for union.
The two Rugby League World Cup Semi finals games were better than any Union game.

Union players couldn,t last 80 minutes in a game of League. They need their 5 minuted breaks for collapsed scrums, lineout hanging about and plenty of drinks breaks.They dont possess the passing and kicking skills of League players and in comparison the y seem like amateurs.

Too many rules in union makes thicko league fans heads hurt. 🤣
@@scran7346 That's a side-step there however. If people are brought up watching playing Union and then ignore League that explains the numbers difference.
I used to play and watch Union but the games are so turgid I ended up switching to League.
From my pov, Heinekein Semis Leinster vs Toulouse or the Super Rugby equivalent Chiefs vs Blues was on last week-end as well, both vastly inferior to any number of NRL games in quality and spectacle.
Because of Union's larger playing numbers across the world you're going to get a lot more competitive International games. England are very strong League team and France are a developing nation albeit Catalans, Toulouse and Lyon are all coming along as clubs so there's promise there.
Williams always looked quality in the NRL, so no surprise he's pulling the strings comfortably here.
Disappointed for the French: Good development of players in their clubs but against a stacked England side is asking for a heavy defeat.
