The world needs you, Pete. Given that Advanced Knife Bro hardly makes videos anymore, someone needs to fill the void of comedic but informative knife wielding deadpan snarker. It's your time to shine, so shine like you gave yourself a mirror polish on the KME.
Love how you manage to express such a nice awkward feeling of happiness of getting a knife for free for your favorite knifemaker. Thanks for the many hours of infotaiment you gave me. Greetings from Belgium.
Oh man, this was a great one. Even as a TRM fan and owner though I have to jump on the side of CRK, just my little opinion of course but I think they make a sturdier, better balanced knife. The blade of my Atom tends to get its alignment out of whack, to the point that it will rub the liners, if I use it on a zip tie or anything tougher than that. I thought about filming it but I’m not trying to shine negative light on TRM, they are awesome people and an awesome company. Mileage and use varies of course! Loved the video Pete.
My Atom has the same issue. I have 2 but have carried only one as an edc knife. The blade got out of center twice so I stopped carrying. I did change the scales but wondered if titanium or some metal scale would stay aligned better. The Atom is a very slicy knife, thin and sleek. Not a super heavy duty knife but I like the blade do much.
No bs, this is one of your better videos. Totally get the kind of burnout with the hobby, glad you're getting past it. No shame in being a fanboy of your favorite stuff. Keep up the exceptional work.
I think TRM is giving amazing value considering the size of the company and the quality of the knives. I still prefer my Sebenza to my Atom, but that is probably down to some price/confirmation bias as well as a few little things like preferring a hollow grind and a chunkier handle. The quality is bloody close given the price difference! Would love CRK to step up to magnacut and let S45 be a short-term patch. This channel is what deserves a perfect score.
Based on comments from Tim Reeve made at Blade 2021, I think you'll see exactly that move. Magnacut would solve a couple problems for them: (1) only one blade steel in their shops (which I wouldn't have thought to be much of an issue, but Tim says it is) and (2) their fixed blades would be tougher (than S35VN) AND highly corrosion resistant without a blade surface treatment (versus 4V or 3V). I think they are limited only by Crucible's output capability/willingness.
Nice video Pete! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person using 2 stroke stops on his KME. KME told me I only needed 1. Thanks for this look at spring in Australia! Can't wait for this hotter-than-hell summer to end in the USA. Stay healthy!!
I really enjoy your honest and candid reviews! I'm certain it must get a bit tedious to identify and communicate distinguishing features for all your knife testing, but you do it so well! That said, the most enjoyable part is watching the effort and skill you demonstrate developing the quintessential knife edge. Truly, I value your opinions, because you're the best! Good on ya, mate!
When I first started watching your videos I thought, “wow these videos are great! I trust his opinion but don’t think I’d ever buy a spyderco spidiechef” 6 months later I am typing this comment with a spidiechef on my nightstand 😂 love the content and reviews Pete. Glad you’re back to making videos, those couple of weeks were rough without you.
Great vid as always! You bring up some interesting points about the vids people expect you to make. I never thought that everyone must want you to review their favorite knifes to validate their purchase. Good on you for going with your own style.
Great entertainment to wake up to, thanks Pete. A lovely mix of factual and frivolous. The Neutron looks amazing but sits well above my spend ceiling for this hobby and that’s okay. It’s made even more okay by the fact that they’re so difficult to get! If the knife was more readily available the temptation to splash cash on it would be more ‘real’.
I don’t give a dam what u get for doing your work! I can’t get the CKF evo 2.0 outta my pocket. The neutron would be a great fifth pocket knife for me. I need to get one. Great stuff man! Keep up these bangers!
i carried mine today, lol! it is a favorite for sure. My Esee Zancudo gets used a lot, too because cheap skinny nuetral-shaped slicer. great vid as usualll.
I used to think you sped up your knife-cutting scenes, but now I'm not so sure. I think you may have achieved a Fry-after-100-coffees level of speed and enlightenment. Good on ya, Pete
Picked up a Neutron 2 and liked it so much that I followed up with an Atom. I really like them both, but I've got to say I prefer the Neutron, it's the perfect size for most of my mundane uses while still disappearing in the pocket.
There’s a reason I have both a large and small sebenza as well as an Atom and Neutron. I agree with what you’re saying, definitely different knives for different purposes but if I only had to keep two of the four both crk knives would go
Oh pete; i got a little intrigued with improving my spydiechef and put some spare benchmade washers i had laying around that are bigger it’s honestly amazing the improvement. May be something to look at is some bigger PB washers (i went T10 pivot size and longer)
Curious if you saw/heard Larrin Thomas comment about 20cv and m390 at bladeshow, and what you thought about it? He doesn’t seem to share your affinity for the steel.
I must fidget with my knife to much. I have a bencmade Crooked river, bug out, bug out CF, and Griptillian that I am procrastinating on sending back for new springs.
No it because benchmade springs are hot garbage. I changed my springs, I forget where I got them not benchmade but I never had a problem after that. If you do send them back they will break again and again goodluck
I don't think you mentioned the liners are titanium as well. Seriously GREAT knives at an unbelievable price and the QC is otherworldly. A good comparison is my Maxamet Sage, which is a fantastic knife at the price point. The TRM is better. Full stop. I have no interest in a CRK after getting my TRM. Hard to pick between the Newtron and the Atom. They're so light they disappear in the pocket. Glad to see the candy cane micarta, looks better in your vids than on their website. Thanks so much for doing this.
Love the reference to Chris reeve . However I don’t keep them in the same threshold as quality but in my like ability they get carried equally . Love the neutron can take a beating considering the size of the blade it’s like a 3’’ scalpel
In the first minute I could already tell this would be one of the greatest videos ever made.
Bricky has made an appearance and spoken. Everything is right with the world.
A calcium deposit in the kidneys of this channel.......

Your Nick impression 🤣🤣🤣🤣
here since you had like 7k subs. this channel still kicks ass.
damn man thanks you’ve been here since the worksharp 20° per side days at leastbl!
Your wranglerstar apostle p moment is a lot of people’s experience with you 🤯
How am I just finding this now? This has to be the best video ever made. Cheers
This is the "greatest hits" review we didn't know we needed. Thanks for the review and the laughs. I love my Newtron!
Yours is the only knife channel I subscribe to. The entertainment style is like no other.
The feline intro was wonderful! Great video Pete!
This video was fucking awesome, cheers from Massachusetts!
Love how you manage to express such a nice awkward feeling of happiness of getting a knife for free for your favorite knifemaker. Thanks for the many hours of infotaiment you gave me. Greetings from Belgium.
This may be my favorite video you've done yet
I know I'm late to the party on this video but I've had my Adam for 2 years and I absolutely love it. Just ordered neutron 2 and magna cut can't wait
Oh how I’ve missed bricky..
big bricky announcement tomorrow

Great Video! Really enjoyed how you filmed yourself using it on the field.

well done vid. you're right about being off the last few months. it's good to have you back.

I love the flicking open of the atom to the SpydieChef very well done!
u freaking legend pete. never stop.

Thanks Pete for another fun video. It was great to see you back in lab again,
Maybe ur best video yet, just keep being who u are, thats why I tune in, no apologies needed!
I believe that this vid has been the one that has amused me the most. Love all your vidz. Thank you for all you put into these.
Great vid as always! You bring up some interesting points about the vids people expect you to make. I never thought that everyone must want you to review their favorite knifes to validate their purchase. Good on you for going with your own style.
Backyard shots brought a tear to my eye! So majestic.
TRM is getting much more from you loving their Atom trust me. Well done and good on you for accepting it
I loved this video more than some. The dramatic sky above your sharpening station was a nice view! Now I NEED a TRM knife.
Nothing could possibli go wrong. This truly was the best video ever. Now let us never speak of it again.

Bricky has spoken. I would love to get a NEWtron. I have the TRM Atom and absolutely love it. It needs a smaller companion.
Crazy medieval chanting...love it.
I don’t give a dam what u get for doing your work! I can’t get the CKF evo 2.0 outta my pocket. The neutron would be a great fifth pocket knife for me. I need to get one. Great stuff man! Keep up these bangers!
Very good cut test result, right there with the Magnacut you just did and S45vn. Don't let Uncle Randy use it!
Another home run Pete👍 thanks for the effort and sincerity put in. So great to watch content like this.😊👌
Great video Pete! This one belongs in the HOF of knife knowledge and entertainment.
Sharpening in a snuggie... epic. Your steel reviews give your thoughts on knives instant credibility.
Every reviewer get free knives and easier access. Don't feel bad, you've earned it.
I'm more happy to see the oodie/comfy again than anything else.
The calcium deposit of truth! OMG, great video!
i carried mine today, lol! it is a favorite for sure. My Esee Zancudo gets used a lot, too because cheap skinny nuetral-shaped slicer. great vid as usualll.
I bought my Neutron 2 and it's my second favorite knife!
I came for a disturbing intro. I did not get disappointed. +1
Love it you crazy legend!
I might not care that much for the knife, but the sharpening tutorial was low key one of the best I saw!
thanks im working on a full on kme video after 1000 sharpens next
@@CedricAda superb, looking forward to it!
Do you get any hazing from friends or coworkers over your channel? Thank you for the entertainment and knowledge you share.
Love the itchy and scratchy shirt.
You should have your chickens pick a favorite knife. Scatter them around the yard and see if they walk over to any of them.
You shouldn't feel bad about accepting a knife from TRM. Anyone who knows anything about knives would have done the same thing!
100%
Not seeing Cedric with Ada in the backyard gave me the feels......
still gives me the feels too
I used to think you sped up your knife-cutting scenes, but now I'm not so sure. I think you may have achieved a Fry-after-100-coffees level of speed and enlightenment. Good on ya, Pete

Well I just bought a neutron 2 today. Looking forward to using it.
Congrats on getting in on the drop! Don't forget to join the FB group if you haven't already
The comment of the 940 and Wranglestar’s moment in You Tube history rang true to me.
I really loved the concise and short KME tips 👍
Also to remove old lapping film, a hair dryer is helpful
Nice to see Bricky again. With your awesome opening song you should do a duet with Bricky. Nice knife and review Pete!
Man your a hoot brother, I enjoy your channel! Thank you.
There’s a reason I have both a large and small sebenza as well as an Atom and Neutron. I agree with what you’re saying, definitely different knives for different purposes but if I only had to keep two of the four both crk knives would go

Your videos humor me! Makes it interesting while informative 👍🏽 keep it up! (Also I have a NEWtron on the way!!)
Hi. I agree I do prefer the TRM’s over the Sebenza. But my real question is, why does the dress fit?
Hi. I just got a TRM Nerd. It’s a little knife, but it’s a ripper.
I’m glad to see spring in Australia. It means this shit summer north of the equator is ending.
Great episode. I wish we have Uncle Randy in it aswell.
I really like those scales.
Brickie's back an your going to be in trouble hey la hey la Brickie's back!
Oh man my life is a lie, I've been doing upward strokes the whole time on the kme. Thanks for the tips!
Absolutely fucking excelled yourself on this one; proper belly laughs throughout! 11/10 apart from we aren't in Spring yet! Still a few weeks yet.
Love that trm intro song
Curious if you saw/heard Larrin Thomas comment about 20cv and m390 at bladeshow, and what you thought about it? He doesn’t seem to share your affinity for the steel.
You're a treasure, Pete.
Darn. No one has sent me any yet. Need to make more videos!!! 🤣🤣. Thanks for this one!!
Three Rivers Manufacturing is a wonderful company ❤️
Hey Pete very nice video! Helped me relax after a rough day. Whats the name of the song you play at 7:36 when you go to the garden?
I would love to see a comparison between the tactile knife co Rockwall thum stud vs TRM neutron 2
Dude I just had a dentist appointment and missed the TRM drop.. : ( then u made this video.. I'm going back to bed.
That intro made me feel personally called out
Pete came back strong in this one
Great knife - wish they were actually available though. And Bricky may need his own channel.
Basil the cat is awesome!
The Spydie Chef is much better for slicing. No thumb stud and LC200N, but the whole knife is impervious to corrosion. What about the BM 940-1?
Well, there you have it. The Calcium Deposit has spoken.
I must fidget with my knife to much. I have a bencmade Crooked river, bug out, bug out CF, and Griptillian that I am procrastinating on sending back for new springs.

@@krismartin1181 can you refer me to where you got the aftermarket ones?
@@jeffscalfano3100 sorry brother I forget where they came from
I see Bricky has been to the Microtech Facebook group talking about buttholes and all
But it doesn't seem to be available anywhere.
It’s a good job you & Nick Shabazz are friends. 😄
You do "Nick" better than the man himself!
Are the external stop pins on that halfbreed doing ok? Looks like they are being pried off.
I must admit I have not been kind to this knife.

I did not mention this and you are on point!
Best intro and cover song EVER!!!!! Hahahaha
loved the review! if it was easier to get, i'd go for it. that said, i'm already knife poor.
Love ya Pete, but the 945 looks like a withered dryed out pickle. Tastes aside, I do miss my little ol Neutron. Great little slicer.
Love the reference to Chris reeve . However I don’t keep them in the same threshold as quality but in my like ability they get carried equally . Love the neutron can take a beating considering the size of the blade it’s like a 3’’ scalpel
what is a hipster knife? can I have an example or two?
Hogue Ritter mini 20cv or the better version large version.
Plus has wolf spring rather then the omega springs
No recycling in Australia?? :/
We do….
i live rural so we burn all our green waste and cardboard
Nuhhh, ahhhhh. I agree.
