Since the software update, the EVO’s are far better than they were originally and battery life is better too. The sound quality is perfect now, not muffled at all. Spinfit cp1025 tips fit and improve comfort too.

@@bqpd-rd3qrsony is a big pile of sh*t, just stay away from it. Of course it's all because of the high price and unworthy sound quality. It can avoid being called "a big pile of sh't" by either reducing the price at least twice or improving the sound quality much more. Fk Sony well for its products. Not sure why it can build the reputation but to me it's just a fking normal brand below many other Chinese brands. 😂

I still prefer the Sony WF-1000XM4 in 4:31 that it gives the feeling more of a concert hall with a clearer voice than 1More EVO.
I swear I've seen almost every video on UA-cam about the XM4s. I've had mine for 4 months and I honestly look time to time for what I would want more than the XM4s. I've had many and the three I used that I've used the most were the XM3s, XM4s and Beats Studio Buds. I really like the sound Sony has especially with the ability to EQ. I didn't like the fit of the XM3s and gave up and went back to the Beats until I bought the XM4s. The Beats are ok sound wise but with no tuning ability I don't see them as ever winning sound wise when I can perfectly tweak the XM4s. I have kept the Beats for sheer comfort. Nothing fits my ears better. I might as well stop looking because I don't see anything that will consistently keep them out of my ears and I don't know what my obsession is with unseating them as my preferred choice.

Evos are a good solid pair of wireless earbuds. Especially after the firmware update. They're a direct competitor to the Soundcore L3P in my opinion & are very close in performance. Great comparison video💯👍

@BJ PerryJr Evo's are better in my opinion. L3P are sibilant out of the box, the fit is not as ergonomic, they're heavier and not so important... but they have a goofy look to them. Soundcore definitely has the advantage with their app, but the L3P are not as mythical as the reviews set them out to be. I returned my pair after 1 day and I'm just happier with my Evo's instead. Of course all this is personal opinion.
@@DBAMAN7 yeah I've realized just how subjective wireless earbuds can be. I do own both myself and I like them both. Of course I do use their apps to EQ to my liking. I personally recommend them both. Now with that said, I do like the fit/comfort much more with the Evos, therefore I do use them much more than the L3P
I am impressed by these they are my buds. I had the lp3 l4 and l4nc.l4nc was my goto.

I really like the ANC and sound tests, I can definitely hear the difference with headphones. Would you say the Linkbuds S are comparable to the EVO Buds for ANC? And just in general? The EVOs do have multipoint and wireless charging, but other than that the Linkbuds S seem better to me (better transparency and probably slightly better ANC?)
Linkbuds S have better transparency, but ANC is very similar, slightly worst.
There's around 60$ difference between those two in my country. And i'm struggling to choose. Currently i'm using Tronsmart Apollo Bold for less than 100$. I'm not the "sound quality" guy who is picky for rich and textured sound, but i'd definitely appreciate good ANC. So watching all the reviews brought me to a thought that 1more is almost in every way better than XM4 except the ANC. The criteria that is quite important for me )) and that makes the choice impossible. This is how UA-cam discourages people to buy staff at all haha )))
EVO's are the best out there when used with the SoundID option in the app. They have come a long way.
Truly right,at first I'm so discouraged even with the eq.But after using the sound i.d it changes everything.

Watched this video listening with my WIRED Sennheiser HD 599SE and the 1More EVO sounds a lot better than the Sony XM4. Wasn't expecting that!
I have the Technics AZ 60s, Sony WF-1000XM4, Soundcore Liberty 3 Pros and the 1More Evos. I tend to grab the Evo's first for comfort ( I wear earbuds instead of a headset for work for 9 hours) and I do use them for multipoint. Tied for 2nd are the Technics and my Liberty 3 Pros but I don't care for the Liberty's when working out. The Sony's ( no battery issues and they are older ) are solid but with the factory tips really make my ears sore compared to the others. Once multipoint becomes available on the Sony's I'll try other tips and see how that works for long time comfort. I told my wife I would just keep the buds I like best but like Aaron has mentioned before there is no perfect match. I would probably bump the Evo's up another notch if they ever allow more customizing with the touch commands. You cannot go wrong with any of the earbuds mentioned. I still have and use all 4.

I listened to both using Liberty 3 Pro on Wavelet AutoEQ, I felt the results were opposite of what you described with the Sony sounding more airy and the 1MORE EVO sounding darker with more... BODY

@@aaronloudnwireless I tried both, but this is the impression I am getting through the L3P. I thought using a Wavelet would give me a more "balanced" baseline curve (albeit not neutral) to compare listening both products.

Also I know you didn't really touch on it but soundID take these clearly over and beyond the Sony and many other earbuds for sound (also the new eq option is pretty poor but the presets are not bad)

Most people really don't know what SoundID is capable of, I tried the EQ after the update and I went back to my SoundID profile, it just makes the Evo sound much better and perfect.

Hmm. I'll say only. Two brands with the most balanced and great sound are Sennheiser and 1MORE. I had the CX Plus True Wireless, Momentum 3 True Wireless. Now i have 1MORE Evo and SoundCore Space A40. To be real i mean. They all sound excellent. But my edge goes to both the Sennheiser and 1MORE. They are so great, it's impossible to decide but to simply have both of them.
Yeah, I have the sennheiser cx plus. Super clear highs and mids and nice punch to the bass. Sennheiser all day!

Really, omg... 😔. You're not the only one. Now that you mentioned this. My CX Plus, one of them stopped working. Momentum 3 also. I don't know why. Can be the case in the auto play/pause tech and sensors, so the earbuds or one of them goes dead. This simply shouldn't happen for an earbuds of that price and the brand ofc. My 1More Evo never ever had any issue... 2 years and +, they are still rocking. I'm done with the Sennheiser for two main reasons. They are not as advanced as other brands (in my opinion). Second... buying the new ones and risking when will one of them stop playing is really not worth.
Hm... the mic quality. Evo's have 6 mics in total. It's excellent quality and the voice is very clear. All though... can't really recall the difference between the Sennheiser and 1More. Sennheiser i had a long time ago. The mic on 1More Evo, you won't be disappointed. Trust me 👍🏻.

I'm using Sennheiser IE900 and music creation industry standard MDR-7506 to listen to this video. To me Evo sounds muddy in all samples. It is a no match against XM4 not to mention the much improved XM5 and Technics AZ80

While Evo has only 5.5 normal play hours (SBC) and terrible with LDAC,
Sony has terrible battery replacement. When your Sony's battery drops, you have to replace the whole bud instead of changing its battery. It cost about a 100 bucks per single bud... 😤
Is the evo battery used replaceable? I think ifixit has a guide on how to replace XM4 batteries too

How does one listen to the EVO's sound?
The recording is only useful for comparing and not a substitute for listening to the earbuds in person.
Try listening to it with a Wavelet preset to get it balanced first.

Let's say the EVO can play frequencies that are outside of the SONY's frequency response. Since the SONY can't reproduce those (outside frequencies), it would sound exactly the same when played on the EVO.
If there are some frequencies that are subpar compared to the SONY, then they'd show up subpar.
Summary: using this methods any earbud can only sound worse than the one you're using for the comparison. Never better.

@@itsm3th3b33 if you're listening to the sample from XM4 on an XM4, you're basically doubling the EQ curve. You need to balance it to listen to both samples. While not completely neutral, using Wavelet's AutoEQ presets puts your listening device at a similar level to the Harman target which gives a more fair comparison between the two.
You shouldn't recommend the 1more evo many users are reporting that one of the earbuds loses a driver and becomes way quieter sounding and 1more just doesn't want to honor the warranty and give replacement, i can assure this is true because I'm one of those people, i could also provide evidence, emails and proof of this statement
Had mine since they came out and never had this issue!
1More is a no go for me due to lack of support: had to replace the eartips for my Dual Driver ANC Pros, and both US and EU support told me they don't sell them separately. There are no compatible options on AliExpress.
Support suggested to use alternative from other device which just doesn't provide a seal between eartip and earpiece. A huge disappointment 😞
The Spinfit cp1025 fit the EVO’s and are more comfortable than thdd we original tips
I think another benefit to getting the Sony's is that they're a big name company that will potentially offer better support than 1More. The cost savings of the 1More Evo is nice, but if you can pick up the WF-1000XM4 for nearly the same price then it's a no brainer. Get the Sony's. Right now in Canada the XM4 can be purchased for as low as $212.49CAD brand new (PSP at The Source), while the 1More Evo's are on sale for $190CAD (Amazon).
To me these 1More earbuds sound bad. I’ve also tried 1More ComfoBuds Mini… terrible.
