- Steph Curry, Michael Phelps and Jimmie Johnson all go to Phil de Picciotto when it comes time for contract negotiations. CNNMoney's Ahiza Garcia gets pro tips on how to negotiate your next raise.
This is one of the few videos that shows a role play with better options combined with strategy.
I followed up this speech got 18k raise and also a promise on a management position in the next 3 years 🙏🏽
Why is the background soundtrack of someone having heart palpitations?
Holy fuck this made me laugh
😂😂😂 Let's not even go there please. I was terrified just watching this
It’s a recording of generic background music playing in the next room
I mean it's how we all would feel during a negotiation lol
Lol
I have seen this company grow, I am very proud of the work we are doing
I like that approach. Put them in that corner :D I love it
This is brilliant 👏🏾👏🏾
Best approach ever : "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse." “ - assured him that either his brains or his signature would be on the contract.”
You have put together a fantastic team
This was great!
I can't believe it can be this good
Thanks ☺️ great tips!
Good insights. Loved it !
WOWWWW THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER. It helped me a ton
Reinforcing the promise or growth you have witnessed at the business really helped me!

I see myself helping the company to grow
Interesting video. Now I know how to more professionally secure a pay raise.

Good advice if you worked anywhere for 2+ years! 👏👏
What a set up !
Make it about them. E.g. "I see myself helping the company to grow."

Do you feel confident that we’re going to continue to grow ? & I am part of your plans ?

I am Data Engineer. I have experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, etc. I want to switch a company for Data Engineering role only. I want to pitch for higher Payscale. So should I follow this roadmap?
Character In the video It's great, I like it a lot $$
It's cool.
Did this take place above a club?
how do you do that?
Does “I would like to see myself at x salary” have the same negative weight as “I want”?
We are the prime of the industry
I'm gonna try this one out with my ex
Wow
so I worked at a company called protech mats, one day the owner had a meeting and said any one who is in production does not get hours raises or will get them, he says it all on out output??? makes sense to any one ?? he never gives raises.wants you to make the same hourly year after year.
The information was useful but the music accompanying the video was nerve racking af.
Nah. Just job hop. Very rarely will a company match what another company will offer you
And when companies start noticing that you don't stick with a job for very long at all, what then? They'll start to realize you have no loyalty to your work and that you arent a long term investment, strongly decreasing their opinion of you, and therefore less chance of even being able to get a job to begin with
Don't just quit and get another job because if you job hop too often, you'll stop getting job offers. Instead, make sure to get several job offers and ask your current employer if they could match that. If not, then accept the highest paying offer you. Repeat.
@@avapilsen I’d love to know which employer will match a 35% pay raise from a competition
@@misterjay9955It’s 2021. If you have no valuable skills, say that. I’m a chef and have been job hopping yearly for 13 years and haven’t had trouble getting a new job. Your job skills and work ethic speak for themselves. An employer will never give you a 35% raise which is what I routinely get whenever I job hop. I don’t live my life in “what if” scenarios. If I did, I’d be a loser like you, and earning $15/hr less than I do now, waiting for my employer to give me a $0.40 raise yearly to keep my wage current with inflation
@@Redhotshawntexas That's kind of the point - get other, better offers.
Jessi .... Jessica Alba 🤔

This is the most useless guide on negotiating a raise ever.
