I enjoyed your soapbox talk. My spiritual practice involved daily walking meditation, and although perhaps I was just setting out on the path of living that sort of life fully, felt I was well on my way. I'd embraced my authenticity, and upon completing my undergrad full time while simultaneously holding down a full time job, was rather drastically harmed medically in a full series of setbacks. However, prior to that, I thought I "knew" astrology. Perhaps I've come almost full circle now, as these circumstances, in a roundabout way, led me to your channel, which ties the study in to so many of the subjects I read purely for pleasure (no fiction for me!)...I'm not wording this well, and will likely go silent now, but must thank you for your teachings. Gorgeous daffodils.

I just posted a blog about Astrology as a Spiritual Practice so you are preaching to the choir. I am shocked sometimes how much astrology has been hijacked by new age spirituality. And how many people are “doing” astrology to make a living. I’m not knocking it as a career path but it’s much more than a job you can learn how to do by taking a course or two.
Indian astrology is founded on a spiritual practice, and a daily practice of meditation, mantra/prayer (especially to the planets and their deities) is a part of the study of astrology. I agree entirely with your concerns around how astrology is depicted in the age of social media, and the parallels with yoga are striking (I started practicing yoga in 1985 and became a teacher in 1998, but stopped in 2017 to focus on therapy and astrology precisely because the regular classes were never going deep enough). To my students I always say I don’t care WHAT you believe, as long as you know WHY you believe it. People consider themselves to be experts in these vast subjects within months of starting a practice or study, so we end up with the blind leading the blind.

I figure that we tend to sanitise things way too much. I'd like to see a bit of gestalt in there. I don't mind the navel gazing as long as you end up appreciating the belly button for all it's fluff and glory. I feel folk need to really understand their nature and realise that we can control very very little. Only then can we offer up who we are for the better good of not only ourselves but for those around us. It was only after my first human design reading that I understood my journey. I was thoroughly depressed for three months as the enormity of what I had learned sank in. All that I had been told by society to do or be was crushed under the weight of truly seeing. Since then, since reality hit, I have been so much more as a human being. And able to deliver what I am here for. Good Astrology and good readings are hard to come by but when you get it the change is immense. I was always spiritual but now I am spirit led.

i have understood in my 31 years meditation practices that only through the fusion of a twinflame the masculin energy and feminin energy becomes one then this connection is guided by divine love and inspired by the divine but both individuals must reach the end of their evollution proces and have reached a purity withthis union non duality is reached is this the thruth can someone tells me ?
I kind of want to reassure your soapbox it doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting about that.
I found, earlier in life when I was first learning divination as a thing, that when I didn't treat divination with respect at the cocktail bar of life, a drink would get thrown in my face.
I know experiences like that put some people off of divination, and sometimes they get bitter and start movements about how "divination styles only want one thing" and occasionally get followings in UA-cam or academia or whatever.
But it seems to me these that the use of these tools does consistently provide its own correction and instruction on how they want to be treated, even for the most flippant of users.
Of course, that's probably where a lot of the compassionate upset what might motivate a soapbox comes from.

That's not how the ancients came up with astrology...it was a combination of astronomy, math, mind, numerology and observation combined. But yes! I love being with the night sky!
the planets are also in us what is outside is also inside with the awakening of the kundalini one can reach the state of non duality when the kundalini reach the spirit ying and yang this union can take place but its an evolution proces kundalini is the feminin spark of god

Bhagavad Gita 8.23 - 8.26
I shall now describe to you the different paths of passing away from this world, O best of the Bharatas, one of which leads to liberation and the other leads to rebirth. Those who know the Supreme Brahman, and who depart from this world, during the six months of the sun’s northern course, the bright fortnight of the moon, and the bright part of the day, attain the supreme destination. The practitioners of Vedic rituals, who pass away during the six months of the sun’s southern course, the dark fortnight of the moon, the time of smoke, the night, attain the celestial abodes. After enjoying celestial pleasures, they again return to the earth. These two, bright and dark paths, always exist in this world. The way of light leads to liberation and the way of darkness leads to rebirth.
Bhagavad Gita 8.27
Yogis who know the secret of these two paths, O Parth, are never bewildered. Therefore, at all times be situated in Yog (union with God).
Bhagavad Gita 8.28
The yogis, who know this secret, gain merit far beyond the fruits of Vedic rituals, the study of the Vedas, performance of sacrifices, austerities, and charities. Such yogis reach the Supreme Abode.
