Here I take this windowless SL and give it the Special Love and attention it deserves. A new coat of paint tidies up the Slightly Lacklustre bodywork, and a polish of the base really makes this Super-Leicht shine once more.
Hopefully this series will track my progress and aid me becoming a better modeller. There are plenty more videos to come and I have a big selection to choose from for future restorations. Please like and subscribe to be informed of new content first.

Hi guys, thanks to cassax67 for also pointing out the window was too low! I was dubious, but I have reworked the rivet post holding it in position a little and I've posted a pic in the community section, go and check it out! Cheers, Jason.
Very nice restoration. I like the pure white color. fine result and, as always, very good work.
Excellent restoration Mercedes 230SL👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I like the brighter white color. Looks smashing!
Excellent restoration Jason! I Think using the polishing compound and buffing it out gave the grill and bumpers a more scale like shine to them and really improved the appearance. I like the pure white color rather than the off white. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.
Looks 100% better. The bright white looks very good. Always enjoy your videos.
looks great, well done
Wow Jason what a transformation. Top restoration Mate.
Awesome job Jason even with the low window I think it turned out beautiful.
Very nice. It looks so original.
Good job mate
Nicely done! Your restorations have gotten very good! 👍🏻
Nice job Jason, I have this car in my collection awaiting restoration. It's amazing what a good fit the doors are. Again thanks for sharing your work with us.
Hello, friend. Good job!
Nice job Jason. These cars look so much better with original wheels; very few of them suited the Superfast versions.
All the Best,
Dougie.
Nice work Jason Brian Thailand

I have one just like that was my Mom’s when she was a kid
Nice job :)

Hello. Very good job. From where did you purchase the plastic windscreen? I am trying to rebuild the exact model myself.
Mine came from model-supplies.co.uk
Good luck with the build!
Looks lovely but I think you have put too much trust in that window post... it is too low. Give it another push on and check the angle before putting it back together. 😃
Thanks for reaffirming for me! I've reworked that rivet and posted a picture in the community section.
Where did you buy this new window? :) Need one !

I losted a lesney car I am very sad
Are you building the Harry Potter car for Opa’s buildoff?
Yep working on it at the moment actually. That and an original style restoration of the car at the same time.
DiecastRestos looking forward to it! I made a trailer/teaser for it and realized I had the wrong Diecast restos.. ooops I’ll fix it and post it later tonight!
@@Diecast_OutKast Haha oh yeah just seen that, like the trailer otherwise though!
