Love how you ask him what his vision is instead of choosing for him. Excellent teaching! We do the same with our customers and it's always so rewarding seeing their creations come to life.
Peter is not only a Master, even more importantly he's a gentleman first. You can see Peter enjoys teaching and sharing with others. Great videos with Byron, I'm sure your hospitality far exceeded what he anticipated from a 1-1 lesson 😊
Your enthusiasm keeps making me smile, mr Chan. From the moment you said "Wire what you like" and "I'm giving you a free hand", you in fact are taking over, as you mostly do in these kind of videos. As I see it, you are right doing so because starting from scratch and also live acting before a camera, probably would be too much for starting enthousiasts and they probably would be struggling for hours or so and probably with minor and rather frustrating results. But practicing with active cooperation, probably gives the utmost result as an education happening. I tried this a few times with beginners myself: therefore I think the way you do this is the right way for most people. Interesting and well done!
We're getting wonderful spring-like weather in in Indiana (USA) after a very horrible deep freeze and now I have the itch again after Peter gives this wonderful demonstration. Sadly, I know that February will bring the bitter cold back, but I can dream, can't I? Thanks to Peter Chan for your excellent videos.
A friend of mine could never find the pot he wants for any particular plant. He decided to get a small kiln and custom make his own clay pots for each individual tree. He temporary uses a training pot while he crafts his custom pot. He has the perfect in as little time as only a couple of days.
