- Amazing testimony of Dr. Donald Whitaker. This testimony is clear proof that God can reach and change anyone. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Donald Whitaker is now with the Lord, he passed away on August 07, 2007.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."
I too was an atheist, until i began searching for the God of the Bible, like He said in Jeremiah 29:13 "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
So for a period of one year i did just that, i read the Bible, prayed daily, praised and worshiped in Jesus name. Then unexplainable and awesome things began to happen, these were supernatural things, but i'll tell anyone today out of all those supernatural happenings that twice Jesus appeared to me right in front of my eyes.
He allowed me to see with spiritual eyes and i saw Him, Jesus has the most loving eyes that when you look at them you will stare in wonder, his smile is so welcoming and when he smiles you can actually see all his teeth, it's a smile but it is out of this world it's indescribable how loving his face is. There are other things that happened when the veil of my natural eyes were lifted, i also saw the glory cloud in my room, it was thick and didn't move, it was an awesome sight. I also have heard the voice of God, and anyone who hears it will want to run and hide, it's a deep male voice and sounds like a mighty thunder. Lol, you will be terrified when you hear it. But let's go on.
One time i was singing praise songs when i heard two beautiful voices singing along with me, i looked but there was no one there just me but these beautiful voices struck me with wonder of how beautiful they were because they were heavenly and just beyond any voice any one can have, not even the best singers in the world can match up. And so i saw Jesus twice, but guess what all i did is put Jeremiah 2913 to test "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." And God didn't let me down, He really exists.
Please don't speak ill of the Bible or God/Jesus if you haven't tested or tried to seek Him, because you will be making the same mistake i and others have done. I was ignorant but guess what i found the truth. Glad i could share my experience.

I just wanted to encourage Christians out there - be patient. Though we be cursed and mocked for our faith, let Jesus do His part. In the face of ridicule we're supposed to still love like our Lord did when He was ridiculed. It comes with our duty.

"Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you." - 1 Peter 4:4 -. Let's read our Bibles continually and realize people must have their eyes opened to the truth. They know not what they do, as Jesus Christ accurately spoke.

You won't find evidence just by reading. What about living it? What about attending a church and speaking to an honest pastor, or going to Bible Studies to understand it? Only reading will tell you some things, but until you really want answers, you won't find what you really need. It takes more than that.
When you take a step in living it, for real, then you'll know what we're speaking about.

I've researched and observed believers and their practices. I have an open, equiring and analytical mind. I have sought and continue to seek truth every day of my life.
I have never found any evidence to categorically prove the veracity of the bible or the faith that follows it.

I grew up as an atheist and stayed atheist 20 years, until I realized I couldn't call myself a person searching for truth, as long as I denied Christianity without honestly trying it. I had spent years studying Buddhism and analyzing my mind, and what convinced me about Christianity is that I clearly saw that there was a power in the name of Jesus that didn't come from myself and my own mind, but had a life of it's own and was reacting independently from what I was thinking and feeling. The words of a uneducated person talking about Jesus had in this way more power then a professor in Physics. Still to this day, 15 years later, I still see that the teachings of the Buddha got a lot of truth in it and I still live meditatively, but I can't deny Christ, because He is there, no matter what my opinion is, so that's why I'm a Christian as well. If I found out that this was something I was simulating in my own mind, something caused by what many called "brainwashed" people having "delusions" or being victims of "mass-hypnosis" - then I would leave the religion at once. So look into it yourself, call on the name of Jesus with a honest heart and ask humbly as a mere human with many errors and imperfections, to be saved, and if He do not answer, He is not there and you have nothing more to worry about. But if you are dishonest and are just doing this to keep the opinion that is the most convenient to you, boasting in your heart that what billions consider truth are not worth a serious contemplation for a few seconds of your life, and close your eyes for the truth, then you are knowingly living a lie, in darkness, and have nothing to say except more lies to your own defense and have to take the consequence for when the truth - your enemy - might reveal itself and become a judge that won't come for your defense.

I learn, then I base my world view on what I've learned. Truth is not whatever you wish it to be, truth must fit reality & christianity does not.
I've learned that all religions are man made & the use of lies, fear & threats to coerce people into obedience is universal in religion. I am immune. I don't believe things that cannot be demonstrated, & I cannot be frightened by threats of hell.
It is simply too obvious to me that religions prey on innocent people for their own benefit. That doesn't scare me at all...but it makes me very angry for the victims...some of whom spend their lives in fear of non existent religious "bogeymen".
I will continue to demand that christians examine their own scriptures FAR more critically than they do. What most of them believe has little to do with anything in the bible....but then, most christians haven't read the bible. When they learn what it actually says, most will be deeply revolted by what they read.
Even Jesus' own words are used very selectively:
"Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me..."
...what an idiot.
I have no lessons to learn from any man who could speak such destructive nonsense. My own values are vastly superior....naturally.
I have never experienced anything to compare with the wicked dishonesty of religion. Near as I can see, religions have no truth at all....whilst claiming absolute truth. Thanks to the internet, it is very easy to figure out who the liars are & religions are losing the argument on every front. Truth is winning & religion is dying because of it.

None of what you said necessarily means that God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit do not exist. God cannot be proven by humans, only accepted by faith. That's why it's called faith, I'm a very scientific and philosophical person, and I also go a step further and put my faith in God. As for religions, yes people are corrupt and thus people who run religions will be corrupt, but God in and of Himself is not corrupt, but is just, good, and merciful. God is basically saying that if you love your father or mother, or children more than Him, then yes you're not being worthy; that verse means that if you love your father enough to do what he says is wrong rather than love God who wants you to do what is right, then that is not following God and thus not doing what is good. For instance, if your father has an affair with his wife, and tells you to not reveal the affair to your mom thus telling lies to her, then that is wrong. Jesus however, died for all of our wrong doings and sins; Jesus and His forgiveness for your sins is the only way to heaven, not human deeds. I have made the deans list twice at my university and am a Philosophy major, so critical thinking and scientific reasoning is my thing; so know you're not talking to a closed minded individual. Faith or the absence of faith has nothing to do with intelligence; people with faith just take it a step further, accepting not only all of the scientific truths, but also the metaphysical and/or physical aspects of reality as true. I personally have read the whole bible twice, and it makes the most rational sense out of any other religious text; now keep in mind yes there are verses that at first "seem" contradicting, but in the overall context you realize what each verse is referring to.

I do hope that someday you do accept Jesus if you have not at sometime in the past; maybe your going through a point of unbelief for some reason. When we are all on our death beds, both the rich (materially) and poor will be wanting something to live, for we all fear dying no matter how much someone says they don't. Even Christians fear the pain of dying, but they have the assurance of God for an afterlife of peace, while those who don't choose to believe at some point in God's love and forgiveness for their sins will not experience heaven; that to me is a tragedy that no one can comprehend but those who experience it. If in fact God does exist, then not believing in Him is a big mistake.

I do not fear dying. I don't want to die but there is nothing to fear, it's just over. Christians fear dying because they have scared the shit out of themselves with all kinds of evil things that their god is going to do to them. I always find it interesting how you can tell right away if the person commenting is an atheist or a Christian. There is no middle ground.

Why do so many atheists feel the need to make negative and nasty comments to this very nice video about this man's religious experience? There are only two possible reasons. Either you are insane or you feel threatened. If you feel threatened by the existence of God, you just proved God’s existence, because you can’t be threatened by something or someone who doesn’t exist.
If you want to make an error….err on the side of God. If you die and He doesn’t exist, you have nothing to lose. If you die and He does exist and you spent your life denying Him….you will go to hell….eternity is a long time to be wrong.

I don't get it either. I don't feel any compulsion to go onto atheist vids or channels and rain on their parade. Looking at the arguments on this channel, they can't even present an argument against this guy or religion without appealing to determinism (genetics determine their beliefs) or just calling them stupid. As someone trained in argument, their failure to acknowledge that the other side might have valid points precludes me from taking them seriously. It's like if I bothered to argue with kindergartners.

Same here. Ive been struggling myself. Whether whom was right. If Atheists were right and i would loose everything ive know all these years. And i just wouldn't have anything else to live for. I mean sure just live my life. But what would have been the point for me if there wasn't a God. Thankfully with the help of family and church and hearing testimonies such as this...my faith is restored and hopefully in the future I will never have to have those thoughts ever again. God is real. Non believers can say all they want to me...try and give me reasons on how he doesn't exist, ive also heard from scientifical views on how God exists. He will return. Not todau, not tomorrow, next week , month, year...but soon.

Those who do not, irrespective of what your book says, are not anymore lost or found than you. You can assert any of these things and again say that those who do not follow them risk damnation. It is an empty threat for those of us who simple don't subscribe to this ridiculous religion. It's akin to threaten to steal my shadow or punch my aura, absurd. If you sat and thought for 5 minutes and critically reasoned out the proposed scenerio of original sin, how it came about, and the process of the redemption of humankind, you would understand how absolutely absurd and nonsensical it is. I always believed in God and went to church but around my freshman and sophomore year I was having a rough time and was questioning whether or not God loved me. It’s as if I though he didn’t love me. But this summer is when I got into vaping with my friends and I had done dip once. But it was when I went to church camp, my friend brought his vape and we were doing it in the cabin like there was no tomorrow. But we had to be sure our pastor didn’t see us. But during the middle of the week I started to feel stressed. I felt like vape would be the only cure. This girl who I had met the year before, I had liked her but she wasn’t talking to me for some reason and I just thought that god didn’t love me enough to give me peace. So I though about purchasing a vape. So it was a Thursday, and we were going into evening service. My youth pastor had escorted my friend to the back of the multi purpose building because the staff service had found his vape. That made me worry that he would tell our youth pastor that I was vaping as well as another friend. I was just so upset that I didnt know what to do. It was then that my heart was telling me to go to the altar, which I had never done before. So after the communion I went straight up to the altar and had my head down. This was the first time I had ever felt the love of Jesus. I began breaking down in tears. This is an example of God’s love. If he didn’t exist then how could anyone ever feel his love? But I just kept breaking down knowing that God loved me. It was the best feeling in the world. And after that I was instantly healed. I was no longer stressed, had no intent of vaping anymore. Please read Romans 10:9-10 . It's not just about "saying" the sinners prayer, Faith has to be there. put your trust in Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross. Find a good church that teaches the true gospel, you will need support and guidance. Get baptized and, ask god for the holy ghost. The holy ghost will help you with the sin. What a great testimony! I see alot of debate happening in the comments and don't really like to get involved, but I'm truly sorry to those that were given a false representation of Jesus and what Christianity really is about. *Man* will use God's word for his own benefit(To control, to profit, to make himself look good, etc)... This is why we need to not only read the Bible, but *study* it and really understand what it is telling us(It's easy to skim over the word and not take in the message). Top scientists are trying to *disprove* God these days, so to be honest it's not really a matter of *if* He is real, but if you *know* Him. Chuck Missler has the most in-depth and credible studies of the Bible I have ever seen(His videos are here on youtube). Chuck's videos go into the scientific explanation of how God is possible and how prophecy is unfolding before us(How could these Biblical men possibly predict current events with such precision? They didn't on their own accord, but through God). I'd recommend starting with Chuck's video: *3 Types of Heaven, 3 of Hell* and go from there.
Bottom line, Jesus has brought some of you to this video for a reason... He loves you and wants to know you. If you ask with an honest heart to be forgiven and for Him to help you understand who He is, He will make himself known in a way that is customized for *you*. I loved Dr. Whitaker. I used to watch his show in the old days on t.v.. He was also a great naturalist doctor who taught us to use natural means to eat and treat our bodies. I remember he used to say " you've got to learn to love yourself" on his show all the time. I said that to one of my clients today who is making bad choices with her life. I've seen plenty of people take office, and not have to swear on a Bible or exhibit a belief in God. They politely abstain from swearing on the Bible, and the oath is taken a different way. No one will ever know why God heals one person, yet takes the life of another. Not our call to make. It's no different than an animal parent who instinctively knows there's a birth defect in one of their litter, and either kills it, or leaves it to die. We cannot see that birth defect, yet we criticize God or that animal parent for what has happened. I would recommend, at any function, that asks for a beginning prayer, don't expect everyone to pray. Simply ask for a moment of silence. Then, if there are atheists, or any other religions being represented, stand in silence in your own way. No one should be forced to pray. Let me put it this way, lets say that you are in your house okay. You have a friend who is in another house (that you have not yet been to) with tons of furniture in his house. Even if you don't believe that he has any furniture in his house, it still doesn't change the fact that there is furniture in your friends house.
In conclusion, whether people believe on Christ or not... It still doesn't change the fact of who Christ is and what He actually did by dying for all mankind's sins.
