Coming here from RETRO REPLAY. Nolan must've been bursting with pride and coolness from watching Harrison Ford - a notoriously cynical being - thoroughly enjoying a game he was involved with! It's a fantastic game and both men have shaped the Treasure Hunter game for future generations!
Didn’t even know this video existed and I’m only here because of the zoom conference call that Nolan did with the rest of the cast!....... Uncharted 5 for the ps5 anyone?
Apparently, naughty dog is making a 5th uncharted game. (I mean there's loads of stuff they can do it with there's Cassie, Chloe and Nadine, Young Nate and Sam, Sam and Sully, etc)
Even though he's a professional actor; as a fellow gamer & film connoisseur, I can tell when someone is completely mezzed by a game. Harrison Ford wasn't just blowin' smoke up them dev's asses, he was gettin' hella giddy, like a schoolgirl he was...
Azz Kikr Alright I get it but after Indiana Jones the Uncharted are the original too. DOn't get me wrong I watched all series of Indiana Jones and it is classic that never dies but Uncharted is pretty old too y know?
you can kinda tell when he is just bs for the camera and when he seems to be having fun. at the start he seems kinda like 'yeah lets get this over with" but then he gets sucked into it. Around the time he said "this would be more fun if there wasn't a bunch of people standing around watching me."
+Zarcon He has social anxiety so even just simply having those extra random people (film crew and such) around him is making anything he's doing potentially less enjoyable. Most of us don't want to play a game with a bunch of strangers in our home effectively staring at us, so imagine how much worse it is for Harrison actually suffering from a decent level of social anxiety. He's never liked being in the public eye that much but he puts up with it. He was probably just expressing that being alone would relieve that stress/tension and let him enjoy the game that much more.
I love that line "In the movie I always win, but in the game" That is great!!! Its amazing to see how Indiana Jones inspired so many young game creators that developed the Uncharted series in the spirit of adventure. A simple idea, a adventurer with no super human powers except for intelligence and moxy. Travel around the world to hunt for a "mcguffin" (a mcguffin is movie talk for a unattainable "thing" to keep the story moving) that takes the adventurer on a bunch of nail biting mini adventures against a foe who will use the "mcguffin" for evil and personal use. Now when I first heard of the first game all the buzz was that it was Indiana Jones re-imagined and made for fans of the films. Well I guess there was a bunch of Indiana Jones fans that are also gamers due to the fact that all three games where in the millions. The only complaint that I have is that this Harrison Ford teaser was not released in English for the U.S.
I found Blood about a month ago and it blew me away with how awesome it was compared to the shit we have now that passes for FPS's. Tell your dad he picked a good one ;)
After seeing Ozzy Osbourne play PSVR 2 today in a new ad lol , I can't believe I just found out about this In a Twitter post lol how did I miss Harrison Ford playing Uncharted !?!?. This was awesome
I like how he didn't make a stupid remark about the game every 5 seconds like most actors would, he only says how good it looks and how dramatic it is.
More of Harrison ford playing video games plz! I love his childlike awe.. It's even better because he can seem like such a grumpy dude in interviews haha.. I realized though that he's not really a grumpy guy (probably), he just has no patience for the silly shallow trappings of Hollywood and promotion. That makes me respect him more I think. He does seem to be loosening up more though in recent interviews.
I bet if Harrison Ford got asked to play Sully in the Uncharted movie he'd take it in a heartbeat. You can really tell he loves this game, and the story behind it. And that's something Harrison has always loved, the story behind the film's he's in.
Loved his reactions also, great to see Harrison Ford having fun playing a game he help inspire with his Indy roles, must be a proud moment for him to know that. ;)
I cannot figure this out. It is genuinely blowing my mind. Is this real? Is Harrison Ford really playing Uncharted? Are those really his reactions? Is this real?! Harrison Ford knows how to play games, or at least figured it out to play this? Did he beat it? Was it just an ad and was he acting? I am bewildered. This is blowing my mind
It's hard to picture someone older playing video games. I don't know what it is but I always felt it was people born in the 80's and afterwards that play nintendo/playstation and x box. That's what defines our generatin - video games. The late 60's and 70's kids were the MTV generation and the late 70's to early 90's are the video game generation. Very cool though.
I almost felt like he was paid to say it, but his face when the plane broke apart was price less lol I'm actually happy the great Harrison Ford had a chance to play Uncharted, loved the Indiana Jones trilogy!
He looked like he was sincerely having a lot of fun playing the game. If only they made a next-gen Indiana Jones game that looked & played as good as the Uncharted games. Maybe he'll sign off on one.
I'm starting to think that Harrison Ford DID play for real, but they simply gave him a version where Drake has unlimited health. For example, in the game footage, the player/Ford messes up the counters (triangle button), yet when he gets hit, the screen remains the same color. Or afterwards, when he gets into the gunfight, the guys swarm him with Drake seemingly unscratched. Yup, I think that Ford did play, but with GOD mode on xD.
You're gonna love it! The first one has the best last chapter imo, the third is the most cinematic, but the second one has a better last chapter than the third one, while being ever so slightly less cinematic. All three games are superb and you should *definitely* look for any deal you can get your hands on to get the second game. You will not regret it :D Also, stay on the look out for Naughty Dog's new series: The Last of Us. Very promising :D
Clint Eastwood playing Red Dead Redemption. Make it happen

Bruh there's no way he's actually playing it. With the smooth camera pans and the way he's holding that controller
