Actually my teacher gives tours to Maine east (that’s where he went) for reunion parties and they have a picture of him and the class in which he was in still to this day make fun of him and mock him
"I was 35 when I starred in Star Wars and even older than that when I did Indiana Jones." And here's me at 32 thinking i'm a failure for not yet achieving the things i've hoped when I was younger.
Morgan Freeman is an even better example of someone blooming and finding great success later in life. He was in his late 40s, early 50s when he became a very successful actor.
Harrison ford was successful in middle class or working class terms, he had made a decent money from episodic televisions, had a family of his own and then joined carpentry which was booming job in those days. I have seen oldies retire in a big house with a small fortune after raising kids and all just working garage jobs or such if they were from those times. Harrison Ford was ambitious ...
I never thought he was rude in interviews like many say. The only times that he has been short with interviewers is when they ask dumb questions. That is fair enough.
Harrison Ford, is very inspirational. No matter what, he'll always be a great actor. I'm glad he never gave up on his dreams. Every movie he was in he did a excellent job!!! 😊👍🏾
He won something even better than that back in 2000: A Lifetime Achievement Award, which is essentially like an academy award for ALL of his work prior to that time. He received his recognition. One of my favorite actors.
He is shy and not always friendly. Look at other interviews and you will find a different man. He liked me from our first interview in 1977 for Star Wars till I retired in 2006. I have that interview from Star Wars and have not shown it since it aired on my talk show.
I read that he suffers from bad social anxiety. I have the same problem in that regard and people often mistake me for being an asshole basically. If I imagine being interviewed, well honestly the whole thing rly scares me and I'd just wanna get it over with, but thsts just me
Reba Merrill lol Just because he was rude or wasn't pleasant with you that's your perception does not mean hes a bad person towards others.....talk negative about someone for the whole world to view or perceive I care less what you think or say , I don't know who you are NOR DO I CARE, & Harrison is awesome and I can't stand when people talk negative about others ....makes me sick to my stomach.... Hypocritical at its best. Lol

This is one of the VERY BEST interviews I have ever seen with Harrison. He is usually not so relaxed and open. Thank you for posting this. He is, in my opinion one of the greatest actors ever. Right up there with Charlton Heston, (my other favorite).
cant show the receipt it was 20 yrs ago he used to give me a hundred dollars each time tip. but house is in brentwood his wife lives there melissa mathisonplayright she wrote et.no.begans w 6 street m
+Hawk_Eyed_Guy You are on the right track like Harrison you pick yourself up and dust yourself off and in the end you are the strong one an the winner.
This looks like a real good interview. Who did you work for at the time of the interview? My first experience with an interview was with Arnold... to his credit he took my lousy question and made a masterful answer. Any pointers?
Reba - When in his 20s he could stand a fool no problem. On kitchen remodel '72, humored another guy in 20s when forced on him to sand half his job & talked movie trivia for 2 days while sanding. $50 question to ask him is, how did you get acting portfolio photos to move from 1 TV episode last 18 mo to movie star?
He didn't need photos for Star Wars as he was the actor who read lines for the auditions and when Tom Sellack pulled out, Harrison was the only one left. After SW he was an in demand star.
Knowing that Harrison Ford got bullied in school makes me kind of happier because now I know that you don't need to be successful with friends and school to be successful in life. Though it sucks that he got bullied and the bullies are probably and hopefully cutting themselves to this day
I was looking for this video, love seeing him talk about his life and career as he’s always been one of my favorite actors after seeing him in Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I also find it funny seeing him return to TV with 1923 after starting off on episodic TV, things coming full circle.
I have yet to see an interview, where Harrison Ford discusses his experiences in the filming of Regarding Henry.Though not one of his most well known films, his portrayal of that character, really encapsulated his broad range,as an actor.A wonderful film and a very impressive performance and of his very best works,if not the best performance of his career!
well duhh! he is relaxed and at ease because HES INSIDE A PLANE (fake air force one on set) - thats his fix to deal with the shakes and shyness. Great human being in society (activist & rescue pilot), amazing actor on the screen, unique in his kind from looks to spirit, paused, eloquent and inteligent, with a je-ne-sais-quoi hoozing presence and soothing voice to top it all off... ohhh, and that menacing finger pointing we love. THANK YOU, this video is a flawless gem! That behind the scene indy moment when harrison slaps sean got me gasping in horror and then my heart melted when harrison falls into sean arms as if to apologize - mad respect they have for eachother - and then the biggest bromance hug is created at @3:25 (i thought the Spielberg/Ford behind the scene moment with the cup of water was adorable, but sean connery just stole the spotlight)
I love RCI too. They have the best people working on their ships. I loved doing my lecture series on board, the Ford interview is part of it. Maybe we will meet on board.
Lucky guy has been around got to kiss a lot of beautiful women in movies this is a legend that did it all seen many places taking part in the best roles is fun I'd say every experience memorable the action drama mystery adventure all together many can enjoy these always
Actually my teacher gives tours to Maine east (that’s where he went) for reunion parties and they have a picture of him and the class in which he was in still to this day make fun of him and mock him
I would love to have an undocumented conversation with him so I can choose for myself what I think. I love his acting but I don't trust the media to make my opinion of a person. I've seen two sides of the way Harrison Ford is portrayed and possibly more, however, I'd like the opportunity to decide for myself.
+Reba Merrill I do he was interviewed sitting in some sort of cantina with an odd looking fellow. The creature said something unfavorable and Harrison shot him dead in front of the audience. I'm surprised he wasn't prosecuted. Get in touch and I will forward you the footage to upload! XD
I've seen the TV stuff he did in his 20s & he was so gorgeous & had that leading man quality how the heck did it take him to make it big so long? Were execs blind or what ? I think he got stuck in the 60s studio system & they just kept using him for TV. I saw him in bonanza 3x as separate cowboys. My dad loves that show & over 6 months when he would watch everyday he'd say man Harrison Ford again. Burt Reynolds BTW as quint was freaking gorgeous. He looked identical to Marlon Brando it's scary.
I am trying to sell it, this is business, and You Tube is not where I want the footage to go. FYI it will be available next year at the new museum for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
ford is so committed to his character and such a perfectionist, that he wants to show sean how hard he wants to be slapped, in order to extract the best facial reaction from ford... then harrison hugs sean dearly as if to apologize. was it a payback? or was this before the actual shoot? i mean did han, hit first AGAIN?
Man the kids who were bullying Harrison are kicking themselves to this day
AAD probably dead

I am feeling the exact same way. That is why I also look to guys like Harrison Ford for inspiration in times of doubt

he's defo not rude, he's just himself, grounded, not overly eccentric, and occasionally blunt. not rude.
Jared Aviet Check out his 1992 interview in Gente de Expressao Harrison Ford. 🙄
Harrison Ford, is very inspirational. No matter what, he'll always be a great actor. I'm glad he never gave up on his dreams. Every movie he was in he did a excellent job!!! 😊👍🏾
This man deserves an academy award. Should have been nominated this year for sheer volume of work alone. Greatest movie star ever!
He won something even better than that back in 2000: A Lifetime Achievement Award, which is essentially like an academy award for ALL of his work prior to that time. He received his recognition. One of my favorite actors.
Funny how Ke Huy Quan won one before he could
That smirk was the highlight of my childhood. Thank you, sir.

No one could have played Indiana like he did. NO ONE! A true craftsman.
Coming back from being thrown off a bank as a child and a plane crash as an adult Harrison Ford's tenacity is what kept him in the business.
I just joined drama at my middle school just because of Harrison ford
This interview makes me love Harrison Ford even more
I think the greatest attribute any Star needs, is the ability to stay humble and honest. This guy has both.

Harrison Ford always has been a next level guy, on screen and in interviews.
My favorite actor, mans a legend!
He's had a great life and he deserved it all.
I've been following Mr. Ford's career since 1977, and have seen many interviews. This is one of the best. Thank you.
My kind of guy ;)

Very well constructed video with possibly the most iconic actor of all time.
Best actor ever
1:56 Oh wow Anthony Gruber really is a twin of young Harrison!

This is quite well put together with all the clips. An insightful interview.

The Fugitive was one of Ford's best performances certainly better than Star Wars.
I’m partial to “Regarding Henry” but I’m sure he’s been in more movies than I could judge fairly.
"Witness" was his best performance bar none.
Witness is a legit good film in every regard.
Mosquito Coast and Raiders of the Lost Ark. He owned both roles.
I'm a little perplexed I don't hear people mention the Fugitive that often.
one of the best
Thanks as I like your style and glad we connected
Charisma is a gift
Thanks for your kind words.
GREAT Interview!
Thanks for your great insight.

Perfect man
I find this inspirational
He does have the best job in the world.
I have even more from Harrison.
We've seen... Your comments
+Blue Collar Men Productions They're everywhere
The legendary actor who played Han Solo in George Lucas' Star Wars and Indiana Jones is older than the Eurovision Song Contest itself!
It is my interview on the internet and it was rare when I did it as no one had these stories. Take another look and try listening.
Yes Harrison, yo gave us a better life for it, really.
I'm gonna' keep this for inspiration. How to handle your craft, & conduct your life outside the wheelings & dealings of the entertainment industry.
Yep, he indeed has the " best job in the world.". I would love to do that job for a living at that level. Ugh. A dream come true that would be.

His hair looks fuckin' bad ass in this interview.
Imagine if Scottie Pippen and Harrison Ford were talking to each other. 2 men with deep voices.
0:01 that soundtrack I recognize that is from the movie Air Force One
Parts of the interview came from Air Force One and a little from 6Days 7Nights. What no one has seen is my interview from 1977 for Star Wars.
You are not alone.
what a ride
Was the shot on the set of Random Hearts (1999) ?
you can see a presidential seal under the fake air-force-one window next to ford, so.....
