This is awesome I live over by bluffton IN hope to start seeing more of the x9 combines running in the area mainly its been the s series combines that I mainly see around here but there is the red ones to up that way I've seen them around also but this is an awesome video Mike thank you for the awesome content you put out of farming I enjoy watching them when I get the chance to
Awesome video as always! It looks like he may need to use a different ear saver system on the head. There was around 8 ears going over the side from the 2:00 - 2:30 mark
Also seemed to be bunching in front of the feeder house some. Corn seems super dry might be causing that. That big combine sounds like a locomotive blasting down the tracks.
when we first introduced the first batch of X9 series combines in 2020 I got a chance to run both X9-1000 and X9-1100 combines in 325 bushel corn 🌽 wit our C16CF row folding corn 🌽 head those combines eat corn like no ther wit our twin rotor separator system at 6.8 mph um combine operator my self been running combines for 29 years now after left the farm to go to work for john deere for 19 years now as a equipment setup technician!!!
We wanted to try something different wit a twin rotors even though twin rotors were new Holland design but we at deere took it step further and perfected it
electric tarps sure do help this time of year. the elevator i started working for doesn't have any just yet up here in colebrook. the drivers enjoy the videos you made there, and had no idea you filmed at the farm
Mike, just a quick question. Why does this combine operator not fold his unloading auger back when he's done unloading? I see repair bills in their future if they don't get in the habit of folding it into transport?
It's operator preference. I know several guys that leave the auger out most of the time and don't have any issues. I'm thankful these farms I know let me come out to shoot and make these videos and I'm not going to question someone on things like this.
I sure hated we turned the horsepower down on our JD-14X 13.6 liter power tech pss 830's diesel engine in our big class 11 X9-1100 combine 2023 models are rated at 603hp to 690hp when first unveiled the X9-1100's in 2020 the horsepower was 690hp to 743hp max
People are buying these X9's for the capacity in soybeans mainly. This farm runs a 24 row corn planter so a 12 row head is just easier to use. Plus a 12 row folding is much easier to transport around than a 16 row or 16 row folding head.

@@buckhorncortez Yeah, at the cost of slightly slowing down the unloading process by ~13 seconds because you're still stuck at the factory unloading rate of 5.3 bushels/second.

Man o man! Flat out capacity in this machine. What a production beast.

@@farmhandmike It's not meant as a criticism. More as a practical question. We used to leave ours out years ago.
Hello! Where did you buy grain tank extension tip-up kit for your X9 1100? We are looking for one for our X9 combine
What are the tanks on both sides of the tractors for? Great video Mike.
I'm guessing they plant with these tractors and these carry liquid fertilizer for planting.
I love your videos! I'm trying to get into farming. Have you done any where Big Bud in Montana is plowing or harvesting?
Yes I have

Advanced Grain Farms

Do you honestly think there will a threshold on the agricultural industry so small farms can survive???🤔
I know plenty of small farms that are doing very well.
