Hey, Nick! Don't worry about the negative comment about having a drink in the car! That is a sweet Caprice, I'd love that, but quieted down, like factory, with proper exhaust, myself. Almost sounds like a stall convertor was installed on the Powerglide transmission, difficult to hear, over the exhaust noise. Myself, I like to hear them shift! Cheers, enjoy your videos!
Out of the 60s fullsize Chevys the 1963 impala SS is my favorite body style but second would be the 1967 impala SS l could live with the caprice 327 would be the engine choice for both
Bitchin ride bubba. My '74 c10 has a 396 big block from out of a '67 Caprice. All original, as it was when it lived in the Caprice. Block stamp proves it was manufactured out in the Tonawanda, NY plant. 325HP from the factory. 10.25:1 compression ratio. Tons of power! Nice job pointing out all the imperfections. Very honest.
That shock was to tell you, that yes Nick you are alive. Whooooo. Hey that's better than one of those green hotdogs on the roller grill huh. Carb adjustment!.
Gotta love a land yacht like this one. Full size classics especially stock height ones usually ride the best. Also I bet that email was probably from someone who keeps their classics in like super neat and mint condition lol
I did not look at the engine when he showed the video to see if it had headers or manifolds ,he said the don't gasket was leaking , headers don't have donut gaskets ,only flat gaskets .that's why I said adding headers would fix the pipes .,
Piss em off, get you a extra large chocolate double fudge ice cream and eat it, while driving fiddling with the air/heat controls speeding through the neighborhood!! LOL!! You know me, I always tell you, snag them gears!!

@@markcollins8326 well you’re about 20+ years behind the time Pops. Keep up with the time or you’ll get left behind. That or overpay for a used vehicle. 🤣
@@markcollins8326 there is a ORIGINAL 67 impala with the 396 and 4spd. I think 33k. Nice video on UA-cam of it. You would have well over that in this one by the time you bought and tried to bring it up to par. Then you still would have a clone
This was back when GM couldn't help but make a good looking car
Hey Nick nice to see some sub 15K cars again! Please keep it up so us regular folk can afford some of these beauties! 👍

I was the lucky owner of a 66 Caprice. 327, 2 speed powerglide, they don"t make "em like that anymore.
The 66 model had wrap around tail lights.

Nothing else sounds like a small block chevy through pair of cherry bomb glass packs. That car looks great in white.
That’s one of the few cars that actually looks good in any color!
I have a Capri cream and Nantucket blue ones. Beautiful lines.
At idle, sounds like a tractor.
I have a cherry bomb 💣 on my 2014 Ram.
Honestly, I’ve always preferred the look of the coupe body style over the fastbacks.

A novice restoration at best. This car has potential. This type of car was good for carrying all of your friends around, basically a party boat.
At 10:37 just needs gas welding up of the driver's side adapted header adapter...
