I can't thank you enough for all that you have taught me! I wanted to ask you where I can get a nice cell phone mount like the one you have there? I haven't found one I would trust mounting or fabricating a base for my Pescador Pilot 12.0. I am not quite ready to jump into the GoPro game yet, but I wanted to start to record my days out!
Man i love my 806. An incredible rod with super nice action. Says fast but its on the moderate side of fast. Has a great tip on it. Just pegs them and keeps them pegged.
Another great inexpensive rod is the duckett silverado. An incredible rod for $100. I have the moderate action med hvy power cranking rod, and it's a great rod.
Gene, question for you - a lot of my local lakes do not have shad. Have you ever had any luck throwing a glide that is patterned after bluegill, trout, or perch?
I haven't the kastking royale legend baitcaster reel had to send it in to be replaced and can't wait till I get it back and hopefully I can get up money to get a kastking rod I really like the feel of the of reel
I got a question off topic. I got a MotorGuide xi3 saltwater freshwater trolling motor one wire is black and the other wire is red and black which one is the positive thanks. Grateful for your channel
Kastking , I have two of their new tackle trays like the Plano brand. what happened to 13 fishing? I have a few blackout rods and a few fateblack rods. I bought a black out bait caster, the magnet breaks are horrible, but a friend of mine said the 100$+ are good. I have shimano reels so I’ll probably never buy a 13 reel of any kind. God bless brother.
I just can't get the hang of working a jerkbait from a kayak. Especially from a seated position. I thought the deeper diving +1s may work if twitching rod tip up. But too early to tell in my experiment. No fish yet anyway.
Certainly would seem that way. I'm guessing the 13 Fishing buyout negatively affected his longtime relationship with them. That's just a guess on my part and I'm sure Gene will go into it if he wants to disclose his personal business.
And I've got some of the newer Kastking reels like the Kestrel and the MG12 and they're legit. This is coming from a guy that primarily uses high end Daiwa and Shimano reels.

I got mine on amazon. It’s aluminum and screws down tight on my phone. I mount that to a YakAttack Panfish Pro camera stand.
Also anything red or white will probably work.

One of the wires is both red and black though and one is solid black so it's confusing and the manual doesn't say either way

13 fishing got acquired by Rapala I think. I think they still sell most of their stuff just under the rapala banner now

Hold the rod tip low and to the side and twitch the rod to the side.
It can be done but it's a lot more taxing on the arms. I've caught a bunch of them this spring while sitting down.
