Hey great channel, whats your opinion on this over a UMX Turbo Timber have you ever flown the Timber? You name this the best flying UMX has me intrigued. Most fellas at my field fly the UMX timber and absolutely love it. This Draco seems to fly well also, little heaver and may handle the wind a bit better....

Let's just say I have bought or currently own about every UMX that Horizon has made... lol. 😳 With exception to some of the more recent ones or more recent versions of older discontinued models.
I've had a few UMX Timbers, a few UMX Turbo Timbers, I think just one UMX Timber X, but never got the latest UMX Turbo Timber Evo. 🤔
I think the short version is that I feel just a bit "Timbered-Out"... meaning I am disappointed Horizon isn't making real improvements on newer versions besides changing the ESC and stickers. Haha.
I've also grown to love scale aircraft and the Timbers just don't meet the need. 😬😁
For a while myself and 3 other friends all had UMX Turbo Timbers and would fly them every Friday evening after work... talk about a blast of fun! 😃👍🏼😅
In my opinion, the UMX Turbo Timber flies really well!
What I like about the UMX Turbo Timber;
✅️-Functioning flaps,
✅️-Great lighting for night flying,
✅️-Very durable landing gear for the size.
What I dislike about the UMX Turbo Timber; 🤨
❌️-Motor overheating. I modified mine to pull in more air but the way it came factory and with aggressive flying on a average summer day, the motor would get too hot to touch and I was suprised it didn't burn up and/or melt the foam.
❌️-Weird stall characteristics,
❌️-Very Fragile Horizontal and Vertical Stabilizers(rudder/elevators). I never had an issue with mine but all my friends did. It's just too thin and fragile.
❌️-Pretty noisy motor for that size of RC plane. I believe the motor noise is radiated throughout the fuselage partially because it's depron type foam and also way the motor is mounted.
❌️-The poor placement of the nose/landing lights. I did surgery on mine and modified so the two white lights were more visible and forward facing as opposed to the factory nose glow placement.
❌️-Last and probably the least... It didn't strike me as a very scale model. Or at least a model of a real aircraft that were all used to seeing. But looms aren't everything! Lol.
What do I think is better about the Micro Draco?
✅️-Way more overall durable but especially the Tail, (Rudder/Elevator)
✅️-Quiet 4 bladed prop and motor,
✅️-Loads of power on 4s,
✅️-Very floaty and better wing loading,
✅️-More Aerobatic Airframe, more enjoyable to Versatile styles of flight.
✅️ -Nice bright colors are to see in the sky,
✅️-Very Scale replica of a cool plane we have all seen. 😃 Looks aren't everything... but they sure help!
Keep in mind I have not flown the UMX Turbo Timber Evo, so the above is a comparison to the Older version without the Blue Stickers and upgraded power system.😁
Honestly, I think you will enjoy whichever plane you get, but I would encourage you to consider the Micro Draco! 😅👍🏼

I fly mine with a 550mAh 4s. Touch and goes on grass with this bird as you can tell is a not a good idea...lol
I will have to try a 300mAh 4s. 3s is just too wimpy for me....
Nice!!! 😳 I haven't got to try all the batteries I got to run it with yet but 550 seems like that would be a good flight time? 🤔
How does it handle compared to a smaller pack?
The 300mah packs are super light weight and fly very floaty with loads of power! 😄
@@HappyRCFlyer I do find flaps really float this thing so such as it is so light, I mostly refrain from using them. On the 2.0 size Draco flaps are fabo!
I have not tried a 300mAh yet as I would need to get a couple, I probable wont though. It's a great flier for sure, enjoy & Blessings from a fellow Believer.
Flight time on the 550mAh is set to 8minutes. Easy!🙏👍

And I agree... Sub250 is like a modified picnic plate! 😅
