Awesome project! Local hardcore snowbiker here. If a Snowbike isn’t fast enough you gotta ride harder terrain and tighter trees! IMO, a 450 mx bike is best but the 600 will be cool. Can you get it with a counter balancer? Rode a 500 and vibes are gnarly. My hands and feet would go numb. Make sure you have thermostat, heated bars, skidplate, pipe guard, engine blanket and radiator block offs. The biggest challenge is usually maintaining consistent coolant temps.
Also, would recommend the Riot 3 or CMX 129 for our super dry snow and the most dirt bike like feel
Very cool dude my BRC500 YZ is a monster in the snow. Definitely takes some extra tunning and set up to make perfect but once you get it the big 2T rocks

Kincaid, I can tell you many, many things about sleds and doing 100+ across Baylor park! Tree wells are also a freakin' adrenaline rush. Instant U turn at speed. That can get one in deep trouble tho' so don't recommend anyone doing them. 600cc stoker sounds like a rocket bike. This gonna be gooooooood!

Love the content brother. I've got a 2011 Husqvana Te511 and a KXF450 2015. Love em both.
I'm passionate about all things motorcycle but here in little Perth Western Australia I've constantly heard one particular theme. Part's and accessories can be hard to get and servicing and repairs aren't great either. So I've set up a workshop that repairs and custom makes Part's to order. We now have a turret Milling machine, lathe, tig welder and much more. Been machining custom case guards, clutch covers, linkages and triple clamps as well as repairs. It's been difficult but going well.
For the snowbike e start is essential and the gearing might be quite short
Skip the heated bars. run bar mitts on colder days. heated bars = wet hands all day. Uni's largest snow-pod air filter with matching snug fitting outerwears unshrouded by an airbox has been my best working air filter set up to date. Been riding snowbikes since 2016 whats the HP output on the panthera? how high does it rev?
My heated bars kept my hands super dry. Did you run coolant heated bars?

honestly i think this is a great idea, i have always thought snow bikes were boring since they are so underpowered. like a 450 is just enough to get around in the snow but not even close to enough to have fun with

I recently picked up a '95 YZ125 and have been referring back to your videos religiously for anything I try to work on.
The current issue im stumped on is starting. When its cold, it starts on the first kick. After i ride it around and get it up to temp, it refuses to start without cracking the throttle. Itll bump start just fine, but no kick. It is running pretty rich, but the carb is properly tuned, so im guessing maybe its the reeds. Anyone here have any advice or similar experiences?

If you are wanting to have a good and working Snowbike you should contact BRC in Calgary Canada they take Ktm xc 300 and make them 500 they will tell you everything you need to know about a 2 stroke Snowbike. Personally I like a 450 because they are very reliable and mine is stock paired with a mtn top Snowbike kit and it has now the bike 150 hours and still going compression everything is like new. But if you are wondering about the track kit go with a mtn top kit they are the best kit out there hand down ridden other kit but they do not compare. Al so for all the necessary parts that you need for a Snowbike you need to go to c3 they have everything heated bars, foot pegs engine blanket, thermostat fan the whole 9 yards

I loved my 2stroke snow bike super nice and light compared to the heavy 450s plus still has the same amount of power just have to ride them maybe a bit harder but thats the fun part in my opinion.
