Took Me a couple times watching the video to catch how you were going clockwise for one of the cuts and counterclockwise for the other.
    Very Cool Effects!!

I like that idea. It gives raised letters AND lowered letters on the other side. And the geometric patterns look really good. Also if you used thicker stock than you wanted to end up with, you could run it over a jointer a few times to get it flat on the back if you wanted. And the selective staining was a good tip, too.

I have been trying to find a way to put letters on a project that I am doing. Stenciling is not coming out well. I love this idea with raised letters. And it looks easy and comes out neatly. Thank you for this video! I subscribed to see more in the future. One thing I would like to add is ..Could you speak a little louder please. I couldn't hear you as well as I would have liked to. Thanks...

Nice. You can sand down what you have on the back rather than covering it up...but still looks good

My problem is not knowing where to drill the holes on the letters. Do I drill in a "corner" or on the straight line part?
    I'm using a 1/16" drill bit.

I notice you're using an exaclibur, do you recommend this machine. I'm from the UK and thinking of buying one from Axminster. Which size do you have and is it easy to use for an amatuer.

Great video just wondering what dust collection if any that you use.

Marie: In medicine it is called "woodworker's lung disease." You might want to do a google search about it. You might also do a search on Western red cedar and rosewood dust exposure (for those who do not wear the right dust mask protection).

@@HJKelley47 hi I know I use a p3 mask but thinking about getting a dust extractor

Marie: The P3 respirator is nice. I wear the 3M dust particulate respirators for my week-end work. I have the shop vac connected to the cyclone, and fan. I do scroll saw work. After 30 yrs working in healthcare, I've seen to many patients with lung issues. My hubby was one of those who gave excuses for not wearing the appropriate respirator. Told me it got in his way. Well in 2002, he died from mesothioma.
