What's up with the creepy whispering??? I feel like I've been violated some how and not in a fun way.

Whispering plus background music isn’t a good combination.

I had better luck by taking off the black plastic pin holder from the back (my headers were clean, so this was easy), mounting the soldering iron on a stand so my hands were free, and then using needlenose pliers on a single pin with one hand while the other hand held the board up to heat the individual pin. Takes a long time, but it's less frustrating than trying to do multiple pins at once.

I like that. I'm gonna try that instead of this.

that heat gun method absolutely overheats components. that's a good method to use, unless you have a very micro applicator funnel, on things like usb pads for micro solder connection joints. but not a string of heads. your combo of plunge wick and prying is best. as you said, it's more effective to get it right the first time

You can remove the plastic first with pluyers or other tools and then desolder one by one

Hello. I have a question to ask
Why do iphones use a normal as well as an infrared camera for normal shooting and face I'd instead of using a single camera that can switch between these two modes like some security cameras or day night cameras do
Because from my own understanding the difference between them is a single IR filter
If possible do a video on it to explain the physics as well as the engineering that would go on in order for it to work in a mobile phone. Thanks
